Chapter 467: Imrsed in it Chapter 467: Imrsed in it “Edgerunner, Li Wei, Li Wei, Li Wei!”

The air was burning.

For a long ti, Li Yi and Jiang Yin had been content to stay in the corner of Manhattan Chinatown.

They had entertained fans; they had seen crowds; they had watched live broadcasts, read the news, and heard the anecdotes.

In the tide of the information age, they had already deeply felt the heat of Li Wei.

However, only by truly being there, only by experiencing it for themselves, could they deeply feel that impact—

a fervor that words and language simply cannot describe.

With mouths agape and eyes widened, they felt with their bodies, embraced with their hearts, and blood with their souls; the entire world spun around in a spectacle of brilliance and a roar.

Now, Li Yi and Jiang Yin finally understood what it ant to be the face of the League.

...

When they turned their heads, they saw Perry’s smiling face.

Perry didn’t say much, just raised his hands high and cheered with all his might, “Li Wei!”

Li Yi was startled, clueless about what to do, but Jiang Yin was much more proactive, following Perry’s lead and raising her hands in imitation.

“Li Wei.”

It was just a shout, but it seed to have a magical power.

Before she knew it, Jiang Yin was also laughing heartily, her mood blossoming and her passion ignited.

Originally, Li Wei had arranged for a black Lincoln to escort his parents from the hotel to the U.S.

Bank Stadium.

But Perry told them that taking a private car wouldn’t let them feel the true Super Bowl atmosphere.

Jiang Yin persuaded Li Yi, and they decided to take the bus—

Minneapolis had arranged special buses to circulate within the city, picking up fans from different corners and taking them to the stadium.

And now, Jiang Yin finally felt it: even though the ga hadn’t even started, they were already completely imrsed in the festival party atmosphere.

Jiang Yin couldn’t help but lean closer to Li Yi, “No wonder our son always asked us to co to the live event.”

Li Yi was completely overwheld, with no ti to respond to Jiang Yin, greedily taking in the noise of the scene as if entering a whole new world.

Following the tide of people slowly moving, they finally arrived at the entrance of the stadium, not to head for the general entrance with the fans but to a special VIP entrance, where suits awaited to usher the families of players from both teams into the VIP room.

“Li Wei!”

Suddenly, a shout.

Jiang Yin was slightly startled; there had been so many calls for Li Wei at the event today, omnipresent and incessant.

She was slowly getting used to not reflexively responding every ti she heard Li Wei’s na, but it seed it would still take so ti; she tensed up subconsciously.

Li Yi, still fully engrossed in the atmosphere, turned his head imdiately.

Then.

Li Yi saw a plump Italian woman dressed in a light blue floral maxi dress, her round, lotus-root-like arms outstretched, wobbling towards them with a trot, her expression and motions exuding an overflowing joy.

“Oh, God.

God!”

“You’re Li Wei’s parents, right?”

Instantly, the plump woman gave Li Yi a big hug—

Jiang Yin could see that Li Yi was uncomfortable, standing stiffly on the spot, repeatedly casting pleading glances towards her as if he were about to call for help out loud.

This scene made Jiang Yin hold back her laughter; she deliberately pretended not to notice.

“Thank you.

Thank you!

Truly grateful.”

“You’ll never know what Li Wei really ans.”

“He has given my child faith again, reignited courage, he has made my child willing to continue the fight, he has saved our family.”

As she spoke, the plump woman wiped away her tears and turned to the back, signaling to Li Yi and Jiang Yin—

A young man in a wheelchair, who appeared to be under thirty, was wearing a red number twenty-three jersey and sporting a beanie cap—even without seeing beneath the cap, one could tell he must have a shaved head; his shoulders under the jersey were bony and emaciated, with hardly anything left but bones.

The man looked thin and haggard, yet he had a smile on his face, beaming brightly.

Li Yi was taken aback.

At this mont, Li Yi could no longer concern himself with anything else as he looked at the young man and then back at the plump woman in front of him.

The plump woman frantically wiped her tears away, once again revealing a smile.

“It’s all because of Li Wei.

He’s a good kid.

No matter what happens, he will fight to the end, and so will we.”

“Rember that phrase?”

“No confidence, but we will win, right?”

The plump woman opened her arms again, giving Jiang Yin a hug, and Jiang Yin hugged back tightly, comforting another mother as a mother herself.

Burying her head in Jiang Yin’s arms, the plump woman’s shoulders shook slightly, but it was a brief pause before she let go of her arms and burst into a hearty laughter again, turning to stride toward the wheelchair, pushing the child along as they rged with the crowd and entered the stadium.

Jiang Yin and Li Yi exchanged a glance—

They had always thought that football was just a sport, a ga, a job, nothing special; but today, they finally realized they might have been wrong.

In a world they did not understand, there was a different space filled with passion, hope, and belief, where different wonders of life unfolded.

Shock and impact resonated in their minds.

Their steps continued forward, not going much further before they t a rosy-cheeked, slightly plump woman with open arms, welcoming them.

“Mr.

Li, Mrs.

Li.”

Li Yi looked at Jiang Yin, who was visibly embarrassed.

Today, it seed they had been making mistakes all along, like Granny Liu stumbling into the Grand Mansion.

The other party, however, didn’t mind and cheerfully introduced herself, “Donna, Donna Kelce, mother of Jason and Travis.”

Jiang Yin was startled, “Oh, Travis, he even sent us greetings through Li Wei during Christmas.”

Looking down, Jiang Yin’s eyes filled with surprise.

Donna proudly showed off her coat, “What do you think?

I had this custom-made, and even the two brothers haven’t seen it yet.”

It was a baseball jacket, the Philadelphia Eagles on the left and the Kansas City Chiefs on the right, the two sides coming together to form one piece of clothing.

Donna spun around 360 degrees to show it off, “The kids are on different teams, but I support them both equally.”

By now, Li Yi and Jiang Yin finally understood—

Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles; Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tonight was also, in a sense, the “Kelce Bowl,” much like the Harbaugh brothers’ Super Bowl showdown five years ago, a sibling rivalry.

Jiang Yin’s eyes lit up with excitent, “Wow, you’ve raised two good kids.”

Donna laughed heartily, “Practice, gas, they persevered on their own; at most, I was just busy with dinner in the kitchen, it has nothing to do with ; but I’ll gladly accept these complints.

I love monts like this when it feels like I’m the biggest winner tonight.”

Direct, cheerful, humorous.

In a single encounter, Donna successfully brightened the atmosphere.

Jiang Yin joked along, “So, in which room are you planning to watch the ga?”

“Whichever team loses, I’ll be there.

I want my children to know that I stand with them, even when things aren’t going so well.

God, I can already predict tonight is going to be an ordeal,” Donna said nonchalantly, once again livening up the mood in the hallway.
