Chapter 1525: Chapter 1524: Exposed Movents

Snowflakes, one, two, three, four, five, fall gently.

If indoors, with the fireplace burning and heating ample, standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, appreciating the cityscape, amidst the hazy glow, snowflakes flutter and dance, exquisite and romantic, finding a mont of tranquility in a bustling world, it makes one inevitably sink into it.

However, standing outside, everything is not so romantic.

The thick snow on the roadside hasn’t completely lted, the dampness and harshness in the air aggressively rush forth, making the dry cheeks faintly hurt.

Mark-Cleaver slightly raised his head, snowflakes resembling goose feathers fell on his cheeks, the silhouette of the city’s ancient and pristine architecture sketched out between night and lights, one could see thick snow on trees, street lamps, and buses, pedestrians walked through the sparse, drifting snowflakes, resembling an oil painting gently unfurling before the eyes.

Involuntarily, he whispered in awe.

Achoo!

The admiration was still swirling in his mouth, as cold air drilled deep into the throat, he couldn’t hold back, sneezes couldn’t be suppressed, the alveoli cracked and popped, followed by shivers, goosebumps crazily erupted all over, and before realizing it, his neck shrank back.

Cold!

One word, it’s cold.

Such coldness left little mood to appreciate the scenery; yet he still needed to stand outside, waiting for the red carpet—

As a senior journalist for the New York Tis entertainnt section, covering the three major European film festivals had beco an annual routine, he was already seasoned, and tonight another main competition unit film was about to premiere, they awaited the arrival of directors, actors, producers, and key creators on the red carpet.

This wait often might be two to three hours.

Everyone yearns to attend film festivals, everyone yearns to stand under the spotlights, but only by truly arriving on site does one know, everything only appears beautiful.

Of course, things weren’t all bad, besides the dia, large numbers of fervent fans crowded both sides of the red carpet, eagerly anticipating seeing their favorite directors or actors, even the cold couldn’t extinguish their enthusiasm, the air surged with a wave of joy and excitent.

Once again, Cleaver shivered, he already couldn’t feel his toes, he stomped his feet twice forcefully, trying to regain so sensation.

Unintentionally, his peripheral vision caught a glimpse of a figure; Cleaver paused, grasping a faint intuition in his mind, and looked back again, quickly locating the figure amid the tumultuous crowd.

This was not a difficult task—

A tall and upright stance, exuding a natural confidence and charm with every gesture, effortlessly standing out even amidst the vast nightscape.

Despite being low-key, in Cleaver’s eyes, there was a sparkle, a gulp caught in his chest, completely forgetting whether to swallow or breathe out, stunned like a log, a rush of torrential thoughts fully exploded, his insides turned upside down.

Before rationality responded, intuition already guided his limbs forward, weaving through the crowd, stumbling and rushing to that person.

Li Wei!

It’s really Li Wei! Super Bowl MVP!

It all seed to have happened yesterday, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers completing a feat of three consecutive championships, Li Wei crowned for the third consecutive year, standing atop the world with a dominant posture.

But, why is Li Wei here?

Li Wei? Berlin Film Festival?

There’s absolutely no connection between the two, no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t link them.

Cleaver’s mind was blank, despite having rolled in the dia industry for over a decade, battle-hardened; the scene before him still caught him off guard.

Li Wei appearing at the Berlin Film Festival was shocking enough, sudden and unexpected; but even more amazing was, Li Wei was alone, without bodyguards or assistants, neither in a festival official car nor a private stretch sedan, his leisurely stride was completely like an ordinary tourist.

Tourist?

Don’t be silly.

At this very mont, on the North Arican continent and globally, brand sponsors were all chasing Li Wei, his busy schedule had filled the entire February, even eating and drinking tis were packed, where did Li Wei find ti to travel?

And moreover, to Berlin?

Shouldn’t the travel destination now be a tropical beach, why co to the icy lands of Berlin shivering?

Wait! Could it be…trying to avoid attention? Are teams in the league preparing to persuade Li Wei to transfer? They are nurturing a globally sensational deal away from the North Arican continent?

After all, in the professional league, anything is possible, never conclude decisively and fast.

Just these fleeting thoughts already made excitent and thrill uncontrollable.

Keyller couldn’t figure it out despite all his thoughts, hurriedly, his steps already rushed forward but stopped three to five steps away from Li Wei—

How should he greet Li Wei, as a journalist? A fan? A film enthusiast?

How should he probe Li Wei? Li Wei’s difficulty in dealing with journalists was widely known, even as an entertainnt reporter he’d heard about it, the professor’s fad reputation had already forcefully gone beyond limits.

Just in this brief dazed mont, an Asian fan also recognized Li Wei, eyes widened filled with astonishnt and delight, disbelief written all over, looking at Li Wei so close by with their jaw dropping, soul escaping, not only their body but mind too completely froze in the icy cold.

“…Professor?”

Li Wei didn’t deny it, revealed a smile, placed a finger on his lips, “Shh.”

That fan naively nodded, seemingly not comprehending what happened, subsequently everything beca surreal, like a dream.

Signatures. Shakes. Hugs. Even friendly greetings.

Li Wei, entirely unpretentious, kept a low profile yet didn’t miss a single friendly fan service, finally displaying charm to the fan.

“Please ensure secrecy, thank you. Also, hope you enjoy today’s film.”

Then, that fan, dazed, turned and left, steps deep and shallow, seemingly floating on clouds, losing balance, body wobbling, nearly falling.

Fortunately, Li Wei quickly extended his hand, grabbed the fan’s arm, averting a disastrous fall, “Watch your step, it’s slippery.”

That fan bewilderedly nodded at Li Wei, as if not understanding what occurred, cheeks flushed, eyes confused, their soul seed to have left altogether, fleeing frantically.

A little distance was covered in running, then unable to hold back any longer, belatedly realizing.

“Ah!”

“Ah ah ah!”

With screams and jumps, their joyful deanor drawing surrounding glances, each assuming a long-awaited crew had appeared, craning their necks towards the red carpet’s entrance.

Li Wei watched the retreating back, both worried and amused, but eventually withdrew his gaze.

About to proceed further, turning he saw Cleaver erect as a soldier standing tall before him, eyes filled with admiration and desire, fixated on Li Wei, as if wanting to gobble Li Wei whole.
