After her voice, there was always a dead silence, and all that could be heard was the unchanging sound of the machines.
Grasping his hand, resting her head on it, she lay beside the bed and slowly closed her eyes. The tears she held back instantly slid down, dripping one by one into his palm.

An’an glanced at him and answered in a low voice, "Nine days."

There was another silence. An’an looked around and tentatively asked him, "...Are you thirsty? Would you like so water?"
His dark eyes were half-closed, not even looking at her. His pale lips parted slightly, "You can leave."
An’an’s body stiffened, standing there in a daze. Her eyes unknowingly beca moist, and she cried out in grievance, "...Little Uncle."
Su Yan closed his eyes and remained silent.
An’an thought he was tired and didn’t say anything further. She took a cup from the bedside and filled it with hot water. Then she lay lightly on the attendant bed.
