Gu Qimiao then realized she had forgotten to tell Fang Shaobei about her marriage.

"So you’re not even going to tell about getting married?" he said with a teasing smile.

Gu Qimiao hurriedly explained, "No, Teacher Fang, it’s just that there’s been too much going on, and... he and I aren’t really married. You know about my brother’s situation, right?"

Fang Shaobei didn’t really hear the part about her brother, he just caught the key point and asked with great interest, "Not really married?"

She sounded a bit down, "Mm... it’s just to save the Gu family’s company. Once Brother Mo Ming wakes up, this wedding will be over."

Hearing this, the gloom in Fang Shaobei’s heart lifted quite a bit. So that’s the reason...

But what is Shen Yanchen up to? They’ve reached this stage, and still haven’t confessed their feelings? If Gu Qimiao weren’t so single-minded, this would be a perfect opportunity to move in.

"Once the wedding is over, will you have ti? There’s an art exhibition in the Czech Republic."

"Czech Republic? I’m here right now."

Fang Shaobei raised an eyebrow, "Did you co with him?"

"...Yeah, he ca here for work."

"I can probably get there tomorrow. I’ll show you around; didn’t you always say you wanted to visit?"

Gu Qimiao agreed readily, "Sure, Brother Yan Chen is busy with work, so having soone to show around would be great."

They chatted about work-related things for about half an hour. They rarely had such long conversations, or to be precise, Gu Qimiao rarely had such long phone calls with anyone.

After hanging up, Gu Qimiao couldn’t help but browse through her phone album again. This ti, it was the photos of her wedding with Shen Yanchen. They were all saved from the news. She saw the one where he kissed her forehead tenderly and couldn’t help but giggle.

After browsing a few tis, she originally wanted to call Xiaoxiao to ask her sothing, but considering the ti difference, she gave up.

She rummaged through the room for so snacks that Shen Yanchen had brought. He never ate these kinds of things, so they were probably bought for her.

Holding a big bag of chips and drinks, she sat on the sofa, eating while watching TV.

She checked the ti several tis and waited until there was finally so movent by the door. Gu Qimiao imdiately put down the chips and ran to the door. Seeing him enter, she obediently said, "Finished with work?"

Shen Yanchen smiled, feeling like he had a little kitten. When he went to work, he left her at ho, and when he ca back, she’d excitedly stick to him, probably waiting for him for a long ti.

He gave a low "Mhm" and changed his shoes, then walked into the house. Seeing the unfinished snacks on the table, he just reminded, "Eat less of these."

She pursed her lips, unsure if she took it seriously. Knowing she loved snacks, he wouldn’t be too strict and take away her treats but figured she should have so restraint, especially since her health wasn’t great.

He raised his hand slightly and patted her head like she was a little kitten, asking, "Are you sleepy?"

"Not sleepy, just a bit full."

Shen Yanchen’s eyebrows imdiately furrowed, and with a stern face, he said, "No more eating!"

She pouted, looking at the bag of chips with regret, "But there’s still a lot left."

"No more! I’m going to take a shower, behave yourself."

She gave him a pitiful glance, then obediently returned to the sofa.

As soon as Shen Yanchen went into the room, she quickly grabbed another handful of chips, followed by finishing the half-can of drink. She felt so stuffed that she sneakily went to the room, took a few paperclips from his work bag, ran back to the living room, and sealed the chip bag, hiding it in the drawer under the coffee table.

When Shen Yanchen ca out after his shower, she was sitting there obediently, her dark eyes following his movents.

He was wearing the hotel-provided bathrobe, the sa style as hers, and while drying his hair, he walked over and sat next to her.

He glanced at the TV show she was watching, and then at the clean coffee table. Only the trash can still had a drink bottle but no chip bag.

Seeing her sowhat guilty little expression, he guessed what she had done.

Pretending not to notice, he didn’t question her. If he was too strict, she would be afraid of him. A bit of obedience was enough.

"Where do you want to go tomorrow?"

"Teacher Fang is coming over tomorrow. You have work, so go ahead. Teacher Fang will show around."

Shen Yanchen’s hair-drying stopped—what’s that guy coming for?

"What is he coming for?"

"There’s an art exhibition here; he said he’d take to see it."

Without thinking, Shen Yanchen said, "I’ll go with you."

Gu Qimiao was particularly worried about delaying his work, so she hurriedly refused, "No need, you go finish your work. Teacher Fang is quite familiar with this area; we won’t get lost."

Shen Yanchen frowned and didn’t speak. It’s not that he was worried about them getting lost; he was worried that Fang Shaobei had intentions towards Gu Qimiao!

He had clearly stated that he liked Gu Qimiao.

Now that they are married, will he beco consud with jealousy like Lu Jinxi and do sothing excessive?

"I’m free tomorrow. You wouldn’t leave your husband at ho and go out with another man for fun, right? There are also dia abroad, and if they catch us, who knows what they’ll write."

Gu Qimiao suddenly understood and nodded, but there was a hint of confusion in her heart. It felt like he was just jealous...

Early the next morning, Gu Qimiao and Shen Yanchen went to the airport to pick up Fang Shaobei. His hotel was booked alongside theirs. After helping him with a quick check-in and settling down, they went out together for lunch.

Shen Yanchen stubbornly refused to let Gu Qimiao out of his sight, insisting on following along.

Originally, he planned to finish his work first and then spend ti with Gu Qimiao. However, Fang Shaobei intervened and kept chatting with Gu Qimiao about work, making Shen Yanchen feel like an outsider. People who didn’t know might think he was the third wheel.

The most annoying part was that the phone kept ringing non-stop, with issues arising incessantly.

Seeing him on the phone continuously, Gu Qimiao waited until he hung up and then said, "Brother Yan Chen, you can go back to work. I’ll be fine with Professor Fang."

Shen Yanchen glared at Fang Shaobei, who calmly stared back. Shen Yanchen put away his phone, grabbed Gu Qimiao’s hand, and started walking forward, saying, "It’s nothing, just minor issues."

From a distance, Fang Shaobei called Shen Yanchen to stop, pointing to the road on the left, saying, "This way."

Gu Qimiao tugged on Shen Yanchen to stop and then softly said, "...We took the wrong turn."

Shen Yanchen glanced sternly at Fang Shaobei before changing direction with Gu Qimiao.

However, after walking a short distance, the phone rang again. Gu Qimiao observed his face, which increasingly looked bad.

Seeing him coldly answer the phone, with a grim tone, Gu Qimiao couldn’t figure out whom he was angry at. When the call ended and seeing his troubled expression, she said, "Brother Yan Chen, you should go and handle your work. You’re here for business anyway. I’ll be fine with Professor Fang. I won’t get lost."

Fang Shaobei gave a reassuring smile to Shen Yanchen, but the more Shen Yanchen looked at him, the more displeased he beca.

However, the phone rang again. Shen Yanchen hesitated but eventually said, "Keep your phone on. I’ll co find you once I’m done."

Gu Qimiao nodded obediently and watched Shen Yanchen leave in a taxi before continuing to walk forward with Fang Shaobei.

"He seems really worried about you," Fang Shaobei remarked.

Gu Qimiao smiled sheepishly and said, "He cares about everyone around him."

"Really?" Fang Shaobei said with underlying aning, but before Gu Qimiao could ponder, he added, "How’s married life treating you?"

"Pretty much the sa as before...just moved to Brother Yan Chen’s house," she replied.

Fang Shaobei squinted slightly, cursing the old fox inwardly. He could have easily helped with the Gu family’s matters, but he instead coerced Gu Qimiao into marrying him.

Giving Gu Qimiao a side glance, he wondered if she was actually happy with this arrangent, marrying the man she loved.

But...

"Will you get divorced once your brother wakes up?"

Her smile turned sowhat bitter, but she deliberately masked it, feigning indifference. "Yes, it’s just to keep it from the company’s higher-ups. Once my brother wakes up, the company won’t need this marriage anymore."

Fang Shaobei remained silent. What would Shen Yanchen do then? Cause Gu Qimiao pain with divorce? Or find a way to keep Gu Moming in coma? Perhaps, figure out a way not to divorce?

Except for the first option, the rest seed like Shen Yanchen’s typical thods—achieving his goals by any ans necessary.

Lu Jinxi’s death was probably also related to their marriage, right?

Fang Shaobei led Gu Qimiao to the exhibition hall. The scenery along the way was picturesque. Gu Qimiao captured photos with her cara while regretting internally that such beautiful scenes should be shared with Shen Yanchen, but he was so busy...

After this trip, most likely there won’t be another chance to be out together. However, just being able to have co to this country with him was already very nice.

Fang Shaobei quietly followed beside her, watching her daydream as she looked at the distant scenery from the bridge. He knew what she was thinking.

Every ti he saw her with that expression, he couldn’t help but want to let go of his feelings completely, to fulfill her and Shen Yanchen’s happiness.

But thinking of that caused his heart to ache unbearably...

"Miaomiao."

"Hmm?" She snapped out of her daydream, looking at him.

He walked to the edge of the bridge, standing beside her, "What are your plans after the divorce?"

Gu Qimiao was stunned, then smiled, "...Sa as before, I suppose."

"Never thought about finding soone else and settling down?"

She gave an awkward smile and shook her head, as if there was sothing she couldn’t talk about.

In fact, she wanted a ho more than anyone. Even if it wasn’t Shen Yanchen, she hoped to marry an ordinary man and raise a family. But she couldn’t hide her strange illness and deceive her way into marriage. If people knew she was ill, they would likely avoid her. Who wouldn’t want to marry a healthy girl? Why would they choose her?

Fang Shaobei mistook her difficulty as reluctance to leave Shen Yanchen, thinking perhaps she would not marry anyone but Shen Yanchen.
