The next day.

8:30 in the morning.

Anesthesiology office in the operating room.

Zhao Heng sat on a chair in front of the desk, eating the lovingly prepared breakfast brought by Xu Man Ni, while opening the paper he wrote yesterday.

"Is this the paper you’ve been working on these past few days?"

Seeing Zhao Heng open the paper, Xu Man Ni, who was sitting next to him, took a look and couldn’t help but ask.

"Yes, it’s more or less a summary of my experiences with anesthesiology over the past month."

Zhao Heng nodded, took a bite of the sandwich and casually said.

"Propofol, thiopental sodium, a comparison between intravenous anesthetics and inhalation anesthetics."

"What you’ve written isn’t just a paper, it’s practically a simplified clinical anesthesia guidebook."

Carefully reviewing Zhao Heng’s paper, Xu Man Ni couldn’t help but marvel.

In Zhao Heng’s paper, he thoroughly explained the chanisms of action of various anesthetics, with detailed and reliable data, and constructively discussed the effects and chanisms of anesthetics on major organs at the systemic, organ, tissue, and cellular levels.

You could say, with a bit more expansion and content enrichnt, it could definitely serve as a clinical guidebook for anesthetic drug use.

Xu Man Ni truly couldn’t understand how soone as young as Zhao Heng managed to put together sothing like this.

"I do have this idea, but there’s still a lot of content that needs to be enriched; for now it’s just a preliminary overview paper."

Zhao Heng nodded; Xu Man Ni, being a seasoned operating room nurse, had a discerning eye.

Zhao Heng indeed had the idea of writing a guidebook on clinical anesthetic drug use, but that was a thing for the future.

Right now, with his current status, position, and academic standing in the field, he wasn’t yet qualified to touch such stuff that could beco a textbook for anesthesiology.

"Well, it’s already quite remarkable."

Xu Man Ni said earnestly, genius ideas are always different; while others are busy piecing together papers just for a promotion, Zhao Heng was already thinking about a clinical guidebook. This foresight and vision aren’t possessed by the average doctor.

It’s foreseeable that if soday he manages to produce this clinical anesthetic guidebook, and it gets recognized from all sides and incorporated into the anesthesiology textbooks, Zhao Heng will definitely beco a big shot in the anesthesia field.

But Xu Man Ni also knew, this project wasn’t sothing that could be completed overnight.

"By the way, how are things going with your parents?"

After a pause, Xu Man Ni asked again.

"They’re doing well, planning to stay."

Zhao Heng replied.

"The elderly have worked hard all their lives; they deserve to enjoy life now."

Xu Man Ni nodded in agreent.

She was already sowhat familiar with Zhao Heng’s family situation.

But luckily, after eting Zhao Heng’s parents, Xu Man Ni could breathe a sigh of relief. Both Father and Mother Zhao were respectful and polite elderly.

"And what about your relatives?"

Xu Man Ni asked again.

Relatives can be quite a handful, which Xu Man Ni had deeply experienced.

Even though she was considered a native of North City, her family had settled there only in the previous generation, with quite a few relatives back in her hotown.

Every year, relatives ca for dical treatnt, visits, tourism, and all sorts of acquaintances and strangers; Xu Man Ni was used to seeing them a lot at ho.

"I’ve arranged the dical consultation part, the rest isn’t my concern."

Zhao Heng shook his head slightly and said.

Setting up dical treatnt for his second uncle was sothing he couldn’t shirk off, after all the second uncle was considered a long-ti friend of his father and their relationship had always been good.

As for the rest, things like job hunting, children’s schooling, and others, they were outside his responsibilities.

"Alright."

Xu Man Ni nodded and felt relieved.

Helping with dical consultations was no big deal; both she and Zhao Heng worked at the hospital, and they had the resources.

But having to take care of other things like job hunting or children’s schooling, that would be just creating more trouble for themselves.

"But my cousin is actually quite nice; if there’s an opportunity, I’d consider helping her."

After thinking for a mont, Zhao Heng added.

Though Zhao Heng felt indifferent towards his second uncle’s family, he particularly wanted to help his cousin who had always been very kind to him and took care of him a lot while growing up.

He wasn’t so kind of saint who helps anyone and everyone.

If soone is good to him, helps him, then naturally he would return the favor if he had the ability.

"Yes, among your second uncle’s family, it does seem like your cousin is the one who’s reliable; she’s quite good."

Xu Man Ni agreed with a nod.

Not all relatives are annoying; sotis there’s a good fit among them, although rarely.

"Currently there’s quite a shortage in the hospital for caretakers, but not sure if your cousin is interested in this kind of work."

Reflecting on it, Xu Man Ni thought of sothing that might be suitable for Zhao Heng’s cousin, Zhao Juan.

In recent years, with the surge in patient numbers at Eastern Hospital, naturally there was a noticeable shortage in caretaking services for patients.

Caretaking, when done well, can actually be quite lucrative.

"Alright, I’ll ask her about it soday."

Zhao Heng nodded and said.

Caretaking work can be done by both n and won, it pays well and has a low entry barrier.

However, it requires patience and attention, which Zhao Heng felt his cousin Zhao Juan and her honest and straightforward husband should be capable of.

"Was this cousin particularly good to you when you were little?"

Xu Man Ni asked curiously.

She noticed that Zhao Heng indeed seed indifferent towards that side of the family, only tension from familial obligations made him arrange dical consultations for them.

But Zhao Heng suddenly ntioned wanting to help this cousin find a caretaking job, so Xu Man Ni felt this cousin must have been very kind to Zhao Heng when he was young.

"Actually, when I was young, the family situation wasn’t good, and my second uncle’s family was much better; my cousin took more care of during that ti."

Zhao Heng nodded and replied.

He didn’t have the idle ti to arrange for jobs for relatives or anything, his philosophy was simple: he treated those who were good to him well.

"That’s good, I was worried about you..."

Xu Man Ni said hesitantly.

"Worried about what? Honestly, so relatives can be really annoying, no matter how much you help them, they don’t even know how to be grateful or say thank you."

Zhao Heng said with a hint of regret.

"But there are also good relatives like my cousin."

After a pause, Zhao Heng continued.

"It’s good you can distinguish them."

Xu Man Ni nodded, since Zhao Heng understood what she ant, she didn’t need to say more.

"Sis, do you actually think I’m the kind of person who can’t tell the difference?"

Slightly annoyed, Zhao Heng looked at Xu Man Ni and replied.

"I’m just worried about you; a friend of mine who studied law once told that in most civil disputes, relatives and acquaintances make up a considerable proportion."

"Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore, we’re going off-topic."

Xu Man Ni spoke hastily, fearing saying too much would make Zhao Heng think she was nagging.

"Let this be the exception, apart from my cousin, I won’t involve myself in such matters anymore."

Zhao Heng nodded and said.
