The next day.

8:20 in the morning.

Zhao Heng arrived at the ward early. After all, this morning they were performing the first fetal surgery in Asia, which was a significant event for the entire Eastern Hospital.

In the office, Zhao Heng had already asked Liu ng to gather everyone on duty today to start the morning eting early, then conduct rounds, and finally prepare for surgery.

After having fully "relaxed" last night, Zhao Heng was in high spirits and in a very good state.

One could say that even if he were to perform surgeries all day now, it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

Very soon, the morning eting was over. Zhao Heng and Liu ng arrived at the operating room, went through scrubbing in and changing into surgical gowns, and Liu ng entered the operating room first.

At this ti, the pregnant woman was already lying on the operating table, and the person performing anesthesia for her was none other than Gao Jun, now the head of the anesthesia center and Zhao Heng’s ntor.

Ever since Gao Jun beca the head of the anesthesia center, his work mainly focused on administration, with clinical matters mostly handed over to Zhao Heng.

Originally, anesthesia for such major surgeries was usually done by Zhao Heng, but this ti Zhao Heng was needed to assist Director Huang Jincheng with the surgery, so the anesthesia had to be personally handled by Gao Jun.

Entering the operating room, Liu ng greeted Gao Jun, who was observing the patient’s anesthesia state.

"Director."

After speaking, Liu ng naturally stood behind Gao Jun.

To be honest, since coming to the ward, Liu ng rarely t Gao Jun, who mostly dealt with administrative and managent matters and was rarely in the center.

Of course, having soone as skilled as Deputy Director Zhao Heng allowed Gao Jun the peace of mind to focus on external matters.

"How long have you been in the center, Doctor Liu?"

Gao Jun asked Liu ng while observing the life monitor.

Now, Gao Jun entrusted the business and clinical matters mainly to Zhao Heng, only intervening when Zhao Heng was unsure.

"Three weeks."

Liu ng said sowhat nervously.

Ever since Gao Jun unexpectedly rose to beco the head of the anesthesia center, everyone realized that the previously unassuming Gao Jun was secretly the biggest figure in the hospital.

One could say that in Eastern Hospital, it was better to offend the dean than Gao Jun.

Of course, Gao Jun wasn’t that kind of person.

"How does it feel working in the center?"

Gao Jun asked nonchalantly while looking at the data.

This was both small talk and a way to understand the current doctors in the center. In terms of business and clinical affairs, Gao Jun never worried about Zhao Heng, but he certainly paid closer attention to personnel managent.

"The atmosphere in the center is good. Deputy Director Zhao’s skills are high; there’s a lot to learn."

Liu ng said cautiously.

Actually, since Gao Jun suddenly beca the head of the anesthesia center, everyone realized that little was known about this hidden big shot due to his previous low profile.

Many were still uncertain about Gao Jun’s character, Liu ng included.

Even though Gao Jun trusted Zhao Heng wholeheartedly, he grew up in a unique family. Despite the many young doctors who have co and gone in Eastern Hospital over the years, none had particularly caught Gao Jun’s attention.

In other words, Gao Jun’s standards for evaluating people were very high.

For soone like Liu ng, a very experienced ergency doctor, while skilled, was still not particularly outstanding in Gao Jun’s eyes.

"The center will soon promote a batch of attending physicians. I rember Doctor Liu’s title is still a resident doctor, is that right?"

Gao Jun nodded, speaking intentionally or unintentionally.

"To be honest, Director, after so many years in ergency, perhaps it’s my lack of skill, but my title hasn’t progressed."

With Gao Jun directly ntioning the matter of titles, Liu ng felt pleased and subtly hinted at her words.

"This isn’t a matter of skill. Keep working hard; the center is not the ergency departnt."

Gao Jun understood Liu ng’s words well. He was fully aware of Ergency Director Song Siming’s knack for making grand plans.

"Thank you, Director."

Liu ng nodded quickly; Gao Jun had basically expressed his stance. As long as Liu ng worked diligently, she would definitely be among those considered for title evaluations.

Shortly after, Zhao Heng entered the operating room. Seeing Liu ng standing behind Gao Jun, Zhao Heng stepped forward, glanced at the life monitoring data, and felt relieved.

"No problems, right?"

Seeing Zhao Heng’s reassuring expression after checking the data on the monitor, Gao Jun smiled knowingly and asked.

"Mm."

Zhao Heng nodded.

Needless to say, in terms of anesthesia, Gao Jun’s level was absolutely at a top expert level.

To beco the head of the anesthesia center, you must have solid skills; otherwise, it wouldn’t be feasible.

"This surgery won’t be easy; it’s a tough battle."

Gao Jun said solemnly.

"Mm."

Zhao Heng nodded.

Soon, Cardiothoracic Director Huang Jincheng, accompanied by Jiang Rui, and Obstetrics Director Zhou Hong, along with Fang He, entered.

One could say that, at this mont, there were already four director-level doctors in the operating room; for a surgery, this was a very high standard.

"Director Gao, how is the patient’s anesthesia status?"
