Zhao Heng left the ward to go to Yanjing University to find Professor Li Hongwei. After he left, Liu ng sat in the office, writing dical records and prescriptions while keeping an eye on the patients infected with Fusarium.

Just as Liu ng was writing the course of disease record, Li Yang walked in from outside the office.

Seeing Liu ng, Li Yang hesitated for a mont.

"Dr. Li, you’re here?"

Liu ng naturally saw Li Yang too. She put down her work and stood up.

"Yes, I’m here. Dr. Liu, you got here before , so please look after ."

Li Yang said to Liu ng with a smile, but his smile had a bit of a bitter feeling.

After all, he had worked hard in the ergency departnt for over ten years, and just as he was about to be promoted to deputy director, he had to leave the ergency departnt and start fresh in another ward. Such a thing wouldn’t feel good to anyone, would it?

You know, in the ergency departnt, he was the director’s trusted confidant, a senior attending physician. Apart from the director and the two deputy directors, he was the number four figure with significant influence.

But now that Li Yang ca to this ward, he was a newcor, and everything he had before was equivalent to being abandoned.

"Dr. Li, honestly, as doctors, we’re treating and saving lives no matter which departnt we’re in. Since you’ve chosen to co here, you should settle in and make the best of it."

Liu ng said seriously to Li Yang, and she could sowhat understand his bitterness.

However, Li Yang’s bitterness was deeper than hers.

After all, having followed Song Siming for over ten years, he originally thought Song Siming truly valued and nurtured him. But now, through so events, Li Yang discovered that Song Siming was just painting a rosy picture, rely wanting a capable and obedient subordinate, which, in blunt terms, was just using him. How could Li Yang feel good about that?

If not for this, he would never have left the ergency departnt.

"Yes, you’re right. Settle in and make the best of it; it’s the only option now."

Hearing Liu ng’s words, Li Yang seed to find so comfort and nodded as he spoke.

This ward, although said to be directly managed by the hospital, everyone knew it was actually Zhao Heng in charge here.

He, a PhD and senior attending physician, now had to work under an in-patient physician with just an undergraduate degree, which made him feel sowhat stifled.

But thinking of Zhao Heng’s backing— the dean and Gao Jun— Li Yang comforted himself. If he could leverage this ward’s platform, whether by connecting with Gao Jun or even the dean, it would be far more advantageous than anything Song Siming could offer.

"Dr. Li, I don’t know why you wanted to leave the ergency departnt to co to this ward. But the reason I applied to co to this ward is partly for a change of environnt. The main reason is, I believe soone like Dr. Zhao, who is rare to co across in decades, even though he is currently just an attending physician with an undergraduate degree, it’s all temporary. Soon, Dr. Zhao will beco the most brilliant new star in the dical field, perhaps ’new star’ is even an understatent."

Seemingly knowing Li Yang’s thoughts, Liu ng said seriously once again.

Since Li Yang had co to this ward, they would be colleagues, and it’s natural for them to align their thoughts because everyone is in this ward. When the ward thrives, so will everyone else; their interests align.

"Yes, back when Dr. Zhao was assisting in the operating room, I even told him that becoming a director’s assistant would be a great opportunity. I never thought I would end up working under him."

Li Yang said with a self-deprecating smile.

"Dr. Li, you might not know, but coming here is quite a rare opportunity. Do you know why Dr. Zhao isn’t in the ward right now?"

Seeing Li Yang still wearing a look of being underappreciated, Liu ng spoke again.

"Not in the ward? Is he resting?"

Hearing this, Li Yang replied instinctively.

"No, Dr. Zhao is likely in Professor Li Hongwei’s laboratory at the Yanjing University School of Life Sciences."

Liu ng shook her head as she said this.

"In Professor Li Hongwei’s laboratory at Yanjing University? What’s he doing there?"

Li Yang asked with so confusion. Professor Li Hongwei from the Yanjing University School of Life Sciences was an authority in the field of life sciences in the country. Not only was he a prominent figure dostically, but he was also one of the top-tier scientists internationally.

Just recently, Li Yang knew that Professor Li Hongwei had developed omnipotent stem cells (EPS cells), a groundbreaking achievent in the field of stem cell therapy worldwide.

There were even rumors that Professor Li Hongwei was highly likely to receive the year’s highest award for scientific and technological advancent, which is practically the highest honor a scientist can receive in the country and is the ultimate recognition from the state.

Therefore, this made it even harder for Li Yang to imagine any connection between a resident physician with an undergraduate degree and a professor who could be said to be at the forefront of the world’s life sciences field.

"The ward has admitted a patient infected with Fusarium, and you know, the mortality rate for patients infected with Fusarium is as high as 97%. Dr. Zhao proposed a brand-new treatnt thod that requires nano treatnt. He’s going to Professor Li Hongwei because Professor Li’s advancents in nano treatnt are not only cutting-edge dostically but also among the best in the world."

Liu ng said with great pride.

"Are you saying that Dr. Zhao is looking for Professor Li Hongwei to apply the nano treatnt developed by Professor Li on this patient?"

Li Yang said, utterly shocked. He was so busy with his work in the ergency departnt that he really didn’t know much about Zhao Heng’s endeavors.

Just a few days ago, he went to the dean to request a job transfer.

So, when the dean told him to co to this ward today, Li Yang was ready to face the worst.

But he didn’t expect that this ward was using treatnt thods on patients developed by soone like Professor Li Hongwei, a world-class scientist.

Doesn’t that an the ward he’s joined has a treatnt level that is not just top-notch in the country but even in the world?

If that’s the case, then his transfer to this ward wasn’t out of desperation or exile, but rather a stroke of luck.

As a senior attending physician, he truly understood the importance of a strong platform.

"Yes, it’s a treatnt plan approved by the hospital committee. You could say that right now, the committee is most concerned about this patient with a Fusarium infection in the ward."

Liu ng nodded her head as she spoke.

"Dr. Liu, thank you. If you hadn’t shared this with , and I continued with the sa attitude after Dr. Zhao returned, I might have missed a major opportunity in life."

Li Yang said sincerely to Liu ng.

Now he was filled with excitent, and the frustration he felt in the ergency departnt seed to have transford into motivation for his efforts.

"We’re all colleagues now and have to strive together. Dr. Li, trust , you won’t regret joining this ward."

Liu ng said with a smile.
