"Ooh, we’re so scared... But... Miss Avery, I think you should probably start thinking about your own predicant..."
"You two bitches, I’m not done with you!" Alia Avery thrashed, struggling with all her might.
The two won pinned Alia’s head down, repeatedly shoving it toward the sink. One of them reached out, cranked the faucet to hot, and poured the scalding water directly over Alia’s head.
Alia scread as the hot water hit her. She shot her hands back, grabbing a fistful of one woman’s long hair while her other hand latched onto the second woman’s arm. She pulled and twisted with all her might.
Both won shrieked in pain from the force of Alia’s grip and let her go at the sa ti.
The mont they let go, Alia scrambled to her feet. She flung her wet hair back and fixed a vicious glare on the two won facing her.
’She had no idea who these two lunatics were. But it didn’t matter who they were. They dared to touch her, to provoke her tonight... and for that, she’d kill them.’
The two won felt a flicker of fear when they saw Alia’s terrifying glare, but the thought that they had strength in numbers quickly restored their confidence.
"Alia Avery, we’re warning you. You’d better know what’s good for you and get on your knees and apologize to us right now. Otherwise, you’re not walking out of here tonight."
Alia sneered, slowly rotating her wrists. "Heh, get on my knees and apologize to two bitches like you? Are you delusional? If you don’t get on *your* knees and apologize to ** tonight, then I’m not planning on leaving here either."
"Alia Avery, there are two of us! Besides, we have people waiting outside. If you dare touch us—AHHH!..." The woman hadn’t even finished her sentence before Alia lunged, her fists flying.
Alia looked at their pathetic state and laughed mockingly. "You talk too much! And damn right I dare to touch you!"
The words barely out of her mouth, Alia attacked them again.
A few punches weren’t enough to satisfy her anger, so she started kicking them, hard. "You knew I’m Alia Avery and you still dared to ss with ? You must have a death wish!"
"Alia Avery, this isn’t over!"
"’Not over?’ Then go fucking die!" With that, Alia’s attacks grew even more vicious.
She finally stopped when she ran out of energy. She glared down at the two won huddled together on the floor, sobbing. "Shut up! If I hear one more sound out of you, I’ll start all over again!"
"S-Sob..." The two won shuddered in fear and imdiately stifled their cries.
Seeing their trembling forms, Alia clicked away on her high heels, thoroughly irritated.
Outside, Alia saw that a crowd had gathered in the hallway. Her lips curled into a scornful smirk as she continued on her way.
"Are you all right?" the man she’d been dancing with asked, his voice filled with concern as he took in her soaking wet hair and grim expression.
"Do I look like I’m not?"
"You scared . I thought sothing had happened to you..."
Alia found the concern from a man she’d just t laughable. "Well, you can relax now. I have to go."
But just as she took a step to leave, she spotted Cassian Jennings standing in the main hall. His gaze was fixed directly on her. A jolt of panic shot through her heart. She yanked the man beside her closer, taking a step back so that his body would shield her from view...
