“See that?” Wang Hao hung up the phone and smiled at Secretary Lin: “How’s that for influence?”
“More than just ‘alright’,” Secretary Lin was impressed, even cursing in his excitent: “Your influence is incredible, no doubt about it! You know, our station has tried inviting him before; it’s not easy at all. He’s so booked up that even if we ask him, he might not have the ti. But at your word, all his other gigs are cleared – now that’s aweso!”
“Cheers!” Wang Hao and Secretary Lin clinked glasses and drank them down in one go. Then Wang Hao smiled and said, “Brother Lin, you’re the Mayor’s Secretary. As your little brother, I can’t let you lose face, right?”
“For sure,” Secretary Lin began talking as they started to eat, “You might not know this, but Mayor Su entrusted with this evening show. It has to be good, as many city leaders will be there to watch. If I ss it up, wouldn’t I be embarrassing Mayor Su? That’s why I’ve been so strict with selecting the programs. Ah, thank goodness you ca along and brought such a big surprise. Otherwise, this would have been very difficult to handle.”
After hearing Secretary Lin’s words, Wang Hao understood the situation.
