Chapter 13 : First Announcent
Axton received a 3-star skill book and 1000 experience points!
He was happy because skill books were better than skills that ca from an item since the latter most of the ti could only be activated with the item.
Without the item in one’s possession, the said skill would be useless.
Additionally, learning the content of a skill book ant that the particular skill in that skill book was permanently his after mastering it.
Axton was on a good path with these two gifts.
Experience points did not only level up a player but could also be used to level up skills as well, and 1000 of that was a lot.
*Ding*
[Congratulations!]
[You have levelled up!]
[ 2 level up!]
[You have gain 10 free stats points to distribute]
*Shing*
*Shing*
Instantly, Axton was covered in a sharp pillar of light twice as he levelled up two levels ahead of his current one.
His heart was swelling up with excitent and confidence after killing the Great Wolf, a beast that was above his current level.
He was incredibly satisfied with himself, especially when the ga compensated with matching rewards for his efforts.
After levelling up, Axton thought of which of his skills he would need to upgrade as well.
With the 1000 experience points he gained, he was not in any way lacking experience points to do that.
******
Axton checked the 3-star skill book he had gained from slaying the Great Wolf.
...
[Skill Book]
Skill : [Pierce]
Rank : 3-star
Level : 1
Description : This skill increases the chance of the user breaking through a target’s armour by 10% within 5 seconds. With every level up, skill increases by 1%. However, this only applies to a total of 10 levels. (Cool down : 60 seconds)
Note : Consus 10 mana points to use
...
[Pierce] was a skill that increased the potency of Axton’s attacks by increasing his chances of going through an opponent’s defense.
While the chance increase did not appear to be much, Axton attributed it to the fact that it was still level 1.
He quickly learned the skill, allowing the skill book to disperse into tiny particles of white light that shot straight into his body.
*Ding*
[You have mastered the skill - Pierce]
Imdiately afterwards, he spent experience points and levelled the skill up, up to 6 tis taking the skill to level 6.
*Ding*
[Your skill [Pierce] has been levelled up]
[ 6 level ups!]
[ 6% increase in skill efficiency]
He then looked around, hoping to find so monsters to test his new skill on but there was no.
Disappointed, Axton shook his head.
He then shared the free stats points he gained and prepared to leave the location when another prompt appeared.
*Ding*
[Congratulations!]
[You have earned extra rewards for being the first to kill a grade 1 level 4 monster, the Great Wolf]
[Rewards]
— A village wide announcent has been initiated.
— Reputation 100
— Mythical point 1
— Choose whether to hide or reveal your na
Axton blinked a few tis as he read through.
"Mythical point? What the hell is that?"
Axton quickly connected to the real world internet.
This was a feature made available in the ga where players could connect to the internet with their AO gears. For Axton, he had his mysterious bracelet as the link.
He checked the ga’s website but the information he found was brief and yet enticing.
[The more mythical points a player gathers, the higher the chance of awakening a mythical event]
[Players can enter the mythical event which guarantees mouthwatering rewards]
That was just it.
Tips on how to gain these mythical points were not posted nor were other pieces of information concerning it.
Nevertheless, Axton was simply satisfied to know that such an opportunity existed and he had taken a big step, unknowingly, towards awakening a mythical event.
As for his in-ga na...
Axton left it open for all to see, not wanting to hide it.
"That’s a coward’s move," he said. "Soone nad after a great conqueror should never hide his na. Moreover, who am I even afraid of, hahaha."

[Village Announcent!]
[Congratulations to player [Khan] for being the first player to kill the grade 1 level 4 monster, the Great Wolf]
[Congratulations to player [Khan] on being the first player to gain a mythical point]
The prompts simultaneously rang in the heads of all the players who were in the novice village #666, as well as visible in the multiple floating windows in the sky.
Every single player in beginner village no. 666 were shocked to dumbness.
Stunned and speechless, they were all overwheld by different emotions.
So felt dejected and saddened.
So were hopeless.
So saw it as a source of unending motivation to keep striving on.
So felt envy, believing that this player, Khan, was a cheater.
So of them who were busy hunting the Horned Mountain Goats, in hopes of gaining an item stopped, losing every drop of motivation to continue.
Inside the village, the silence was heavily palpable for several seconds.
After a while, chaotic murmurs rang out into the air as everyone had sothing to say.
"What the fuck?!"
"We all just started playing this ga. How the hell is soone slaying a Great Wolf."
"What the hell is even a mythical point."
"I’m just level 1..."
"I’m also level 1..."
" too!"
"Exactly! We are all level 1 who can’t do a thing to a Great Wolf!"
Players were still mostly stuck at level 1, grinding through the herd attack formation of the mountain goats to gain so experience for leveling up.
Killing mountain goats that were common grade monsters was hard, much less a great wolf that was a grade 1 beast.
"Khan..."
"I wonder if I can et him," a young female player purred over her dreamy wish, her face red as a tomato from the thought of eting this mysterious Khan.
Everyone wanted to et Khan for their respective reasons.
It was not just individuals looking for Khan, there were also guilds searching for him.
There were guilds who felt threatened by his sudden presence.
"Khan..." a voice calmly uttered the na that rang in his mind as if taking note of it.
This player looked to the sky, staring at the floating panels in the sky.
This person’s na was Silva, branch leader of the guild, Grand Nexus.
