Chapter 119: Follow-Up
"Boss, you seem out today… Was it tiring to get the food ready?" Valerian asked. It seems that after coming out from the penthouse, her lab was the first destination Zhang Qin Feng was going to visit.
Furthermore, there's sothing he had to give to her. It seems that he was lucky to co across a hardware store right beside the supermarket and managed to get so of the chemical elentals Valerian needed for her battery research.
"They're packed quite well. I'm it takes so effort for the boss to collect them." Valerian checked what Zhang Qin Feng placed on the table. Since it ca from the hardware store, it was naturally packaged nicely in its own packaging.

"Hey, Boss. You're here." Victor greeted Zhang Qin Feng the mont he heard the sound from the door. Setting the welding pen aside, Victor took a pistol that looked like the Phalanx X-02 out from the gunrack on the wall and placed it on Zhang Qin Feng's hand.
"This pistol seems slightly different from the usual Phalanx." Zhang Qin Feng said. By studying the pistol from his raw point of view, all Zhang Qin Feng could notice was the slightly customized grip, body, and a piece of lense on the upper side of the gun.
"I know that the boss will be asking. This is why I prepared a shooting area with so blanks. Would you like to test it?" Victor grabbed an empty magazine and filled the hollow bullets into the ammunition space.
Since it was still using the sa magazine, it could only fit eleven bullets.
"Go have a try, boss," Victor said.
"Alright. Let's see what kind of surprise you've hidden behind the pistol." Zhang Qin Feng put the magazine in and pulled the pin to get the first bullet into the chamber.
"Boss, straighten the lens. It should activate the scope function. There's more information shown after it's activated." Victor added.

A row of sensor information soon appeared on the lens. It was made simplified with few alphabets that Zhang Qin Feng couldn't read. But numbers and signs, it was still understandable.

A green hue appeared around the lens, which seems to be indicating sothing.
"The light ans the pistol is charged. Try and see how different it was." Victor said.
"Bip! Bip! Bip!"
The recoil from firing the gun was heavier than the usual Phalanx. But weirdly, the recoil seems to be about the sa. If he had to look for a word to describe the differences, it would be accurate to use the word "electrified" here.
"What's the concept behind them?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. Although Stein can effortlessly scan through the modifications done on this gun in a flash, it was better to hear about it from the designer himself.
"I've removed a part of the Phalanx's build in the silencing chanism to accommodate this battery pack. Although there's a limit in the number of shots it can support, the pistol is still usable even if the battery was out of power."
"But there's still sothing more to be done as it was still a prototype. Without the silencing part, the shot will be louder when fired without charge. And in return, the two mags worth of bullets won't be stressing the gun too much." Victor said.
"It was an entry modification level. The idea was good as well. Try to cooperate with Valerian. Who knew if both of you could co up with a heavy-duty battery after working together?" Zhang Qin Feng suggested.
"I'll think about it. By the way, boss… The tal you asked to make into ingots is ready. Would you like to take so of them for you?" Victor asked.
"Yes. Bring ten ingots for for now. Also, get the door to the Gene Modifier open. I'd like to take a look." Zhang Qin Feng replied.
"Sure. Let get the door for you first. The boss can collect the ingots later when you're leaving." Victor said. The secret door was opened after his order. The path into the room was revealed once again, to where the relic was set.
"Boss, take your ti with it. I'll get what you need ready." Victor went to another corner and to get what Zhang Qin Feng needed out from the storage box.
'So, what do you need to do, Stein?' Zhang Qin Feng went to the Gene Modifier without disturbance this ti and standing right beside the relic. Since he had no idea what to do, it was up to Stein to instruct him.

Zhang Qin Feng followed his first instruction carefully. The mont he found the button Stein ntioned, it was pushed once. Although cranky, the relic eventually reassembled itself into a comfortable seat.
