It had been almost an hour since Klaus had entered the Manifestation Plane.
He had dedicated the entirety of that ti to crafting the best skill he could for his imdiate needs.
This was his first attempt at direct skill creation, and he wanted to ensure its effectiveness.
While the core effect of the skill was not overly complex, its intended scale and tactical implications were imnse.
He was crafting a skill he internally nad "Crystal Garden."
Although the na "Crystal Garden" might have sounded pleasant, the reality of the skill was far from it.
Its purpose was brutal and direct area denial, designed to inflict massive damage.
The skill had the following description, which he had ntally etched into the pristine white surface of the Manifestation Plane:
---------------------------
Skill: Crystal Garden (S)
This skill allows Klaus to command the ice elent to manifest massive, razor-sharp crystal formations directly from the ground. Its primary purpose is widespread area offense and targeted impalent within a significant operational range.
Effects:
Massive Crystal Eruption: Upon activation, thousands of imnse, jagged ice crystals, varying in size from small trees to colossal pillars, erupt simultaneously from the earth. This eruption occurs within a 500-ter radius of the activation point, forming a dense, deadly forest of ice. These crystals are designed with razor-sharp edges and pointed tips, intended to impale anything in their path. The force of their eruption is considerable, capable of lifting and tearing through obstacles.
Targeted Impalent: Within the 500-ter effective range, Klaus can focus his will to generate a single, exceptionally massive crystal. This colossal crystal is precisely manifested directly beneath a specific enemy or target. This singular crystal will protrude from the earth with explosive, concentrated force, specifically designed to impale and obliterate the designated foe instantly upon contact. The speed and power of this targeted eruption exceed that of the general area-of-effect crystals.
Terrain Transformation: The entire affected area, specifically the 500-ter radius, is irrevocably transford into a deadly, impassable garden of ice blades. The ground itself becos a treacherous landscape. Small, shimring, razor-sharp ice formations protrude from every surface, making unimpeded movent extrely hazardous for anyone not accustod to navigating such dangerous, fragnted terrain. The density of these formations restricts large-scale movent and forces careful navigation.
-------------------------------------------------
Klaus had poured all his intent, his focus, and his accumulated knowledge into visualizing every detail of this skill’s manifestation.
He ticulously imagined the crystalline structures, their sharpness, the force of their eruption, and the widespread destruction they would cause.
Now, only the final, critical part remained: writing the detailed execution process, the precise instructions for the ice mana.
Klaus began to write, his finger moving across the endless white floor. He ticulously described the whole process of ice mana rapidly crystalizing.
He explained how it would form into countless random yet inherently sharp and pointed shapes from the top.
He detailed the precise vibrational frequencies of the ice particles required to generate the upward force, effectively pushing the newly ford spikes from the ground with explosive power.
Also he ensured that the mana would imdiately solidify the ground around the base of each crystal, providing a firm anchor and preventing easy dislodgent.
He included specifications for the varying sizes and densitiesin random patterns of the crystals across the affected radius, ensuring a consistent field of hazards.
Soon, Klaus finished the entire process. His complex idea had co to life, ticulously laid out in the Manifestation Plane.
He looked around, observing the results of his intense ntal labor. What had initially been a blank section of the floor was now filled for several ters with intricate descriptions, and complex ntal maps, all etched in shimring golden script.
These detailed instructions were specifically designed to fit in the exact logic and operational paraters required for the skill to manifest perfectly.
The sheer volu of information demonstrated the complexity involved in creating an S-rank skill.
"What’s next?" Klaus asked his System, which had remained quiet and observant throughout his entire skill creation process.
[Just say ’Manifest’ while focusing on the skill.] the System instructed, its robotic voice unwavering.
"Manifest," Klaus stated, his voice clear and resonant in the white space. He didn’t wait for any other signal or instruction; his will was already entirely focused on the etched skill.
For a mont, nothing happened. The white room remained silent, the golden script glowing softly on the floor.
Klaus was about to voice a complaint, a flicker of impatience crossing his features, when a strange, luminous golden circle suddenly materialized.
It precisely encircled his entire inscription on the floor and began to shine with an intense, blinding golden light, pulsating with imnse power.
[The ice elent has listened to your call] the System’s voice resonated with a tone that suggested completion.
Klaus’s forehead was now dripping with sweat, despite the absence of physical exertion in the Manifestation Plane.
The process of conceiving and ticulously detailing the S-rank skill had demanded an imnse amount of ntal focus and taxed his mind quite significantly.
"I think I should avoid doing it on the battlefield and do it when I am free,"
Klaus mused aloud, considering the ntal toll. "Can’t live on potions now, can we?"
Suddenly, his vision seed to warp and then backed out strangely, as if he was being pulled backward through a wormhole.
The white light of the Manifestation Plane twisted into a tunnel, then snapped shut.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the physical reality of the ice cave. The subtle cold, the familiar dampness of the air returned to his senses.
He imdiately checked his status panel.
Luckily, the skill had manifested successfully and was now prominently displayed on his skills panel.
He ntally scrolled through his available abilities, seeing Crystal Garden (S) listed among them
. He had previously lacked an effective elental area-of-effect (AOE) damaging skill, one that could deal widespread destruction and control the battlefield.
The Crystal Garden was precisely one of the primary ideas he had conceived to fill this gap in his combat skill collection.
He chugged down another stamina potion, feeling his physical energy surge back.
At the sa ti, he felt the distinct, rhythmic tremors on the ground grow stronger.
The Yeti army had finally found his location, their heavy footsteps causing the ice and rock to vibrate.
It was ti.
He needed to finish things here and then continue his search for the elusive orb, the true purpose of his dungeon crawl.
He just vanished from where he stood, utilizing his Phantom Veil and Apex Velocity.
In a few seconds, he appeared miles away, directly behind the colossal S-rank Yeti boss and its entire trailing army.
His speed was such that he bypassed their scouting parties and their main formation entirely.
"I feel like I should buy a flash suit, not gonna lie," Klaus mused to himself, a distant mory of a famous superhero flick from Earth flickering montarily in his mind.
He looked at the broad backs of the monsters, their oblivious forms stretching across the icy plain.
"They won’t call a backstabber, right?" he thought, a rhetorical question.
[Who cares?] the System mused in its robotic, unfeeling voice.
Due to its monotone delivery, the statent sounded even more comical than it likely intended.
"Heheh! I have noticed, System, you have started joking quite frequently,"
Klaus comnted, a slight amusent in his tone. He found the System’s growing personality intriguing.
[The system grows over ti as it learns from its host.] the System replied, a factual statent that surprisingly explained its evolving responses.
"Well, I don’t mind being your teacher," Klaus replied
"As a tuition fee, you can give so draw points."
[If the host wants to draw points, then they are in front of you.]
The System’s voice sounded in Klaus’s head, devoid of judgnt, making him look in the direction of the imnse Yeti army.
"Well, what’s the total approximate DP I will have at the end of the day if I clear this horde?" Klaus asked, calculating the potential gains.
[System will reward 2 dp for each monster so according to the estimates the amount to be around 7,700 after rounding up the total, including your past earnings from previous absorptions and this engagent.]1
"Damn, System, what are we waiting for then?"
Klaus exclaid, a glint of avarice in his eyes.
Without any further hesitation, Klaus silently folded his hands in a specific gesture, focusing his will.
He activated the Crystal Garden skill.
The mana, now flowing freely and intuitively after his session in the Manifestation Plane, surged through his body and into the ground beneath the unsuspecting Yeti army.
Suddenly, the Yeti army, which had been steadily advancing, stopped.
A subtle, yet pervasive, vibration began to ripple through the ground beneath their massive paws.
The vibration intensified rapidly.
One of the Yetis, a larger alpha, instinctively knelt, pressing its shaggy ear to the icy floor, attempting to properly discern the source of these unusual tremors.
But the poor creature didn’t even get a breath of ti to fully process its observations.
A sudden, violent eruption occurred. A single, razor-sharp ice-spiked crystal, propelled by imnse force, shot up from the earth directly beneath it.
The spike impaled the Yeti from below, splattering its brain fluid and thick blue blood across the faces of its bewildered comrades.
The other Yetis had just gasped, their shock palpable, when they too, one by one, were impaled by these rapidly appearing crystals.
The ground under them beca a pool of sharp ice.
The crystals erupted directly beneath their bodies, leading to instant, brutal deaths followed by the sound of rending flesh and cracking bone filled the air.
Chaos erupted among the Yetis.
for the monster on the sa rank as the host the points awarded will be only 2, only when he defeats soone higher ranked than him will he get greater points
