AUTH NOTE :
Hey everyone,
Just a heads-up for this Chapter: We’re diving deep into the nitty-gritty of how Klaus’s ice skills are ford and function.
I know not everyone’s keen on the "geeky" chanics, so feel free to skim through the more detailed explanations if that’s not your cup of tea.
The core story won’t suffer, I promise!
Moving forward, to keep the story’s pace flowing smoothly and fast, I’ll be replacing these lengthy skill-creation breakdowns with a short two to three-line summary (we are not writing a cultivation novel after all)
But your thoughts matter, though! Let know in the comnts:
Do you want to continue including detailed explanations for every new skill Klaus creates, or would you prefer I just provide brief descriptions and keep the action moving?
---------------------------------------
[Host, you need to sit in a ditative posture.]
"Okay, done"
Klaus replied imdiately.
He sat down cross-legged on the frozen ground of the cave, his posture erect and still.
He was wearing military-grade dark trousers and a black skin-fit shirt, a practical choice for combat and movent.
The shirt stretched taut across his shoulders and chest, highlighting his lean, muscular fra.
The cold air of the ice cave was constant, but Klaus felt little of it, his enhanced Ice Resistance made the frigid environnt feel comfortable, almost neutral.
He closed his eyes, focusing on his breath.
[The host should now concentrate and try to feel his affinities.]
"Hmm... okay"
Klaus responded, his voice low humd in the quiet ice cave he had discovered while exploring the region previously.
He deepened his focus, attempting to perceive the subtle, internal energies within his being.
He followed the system’s guidance.
He found himself in a vast, dark inner space, a personal void.
Floating within this expansive internal realm were several distinct clouds of shimring, multicoloured energy.
Each cloud represented a different elental affinity he possessed, a different aspect of his growing power.
These clouds pulsed with their unique frequencies, a silent testant to the diverse essence he had absorbed.
In the very centre of this inner cosmos, commanding the entire internal landscape,
he could see a brilliant, radiant star-type ball.
It pulsed with incandescent power, radiating an imnse energy outwards, illuminating the surrounding ethereal space.
[That is your soul.]
The system stated, its voice robotic and bland as ever.
"That’s like a miniature star" Klaus wondered aloud, his inner gaze fixed on the incandescent orb that was his soul.
He did not know much about its intrinsic strength or specific properties, as he did not yet possess a tric or comparison point to quantitatively assess anything about his soul’s true power.
Its re presence, however, felt overwhelmingly potent and vast, a seemingly endless reservoir of life and will. The sheer magnitude of it was impressive, even to his now-hardened psyche.
He then observed the various multicoloured energies floating around his soul.
These were his various elental affinities.
He noted a few thin, almost imperceptible threads of pure energy, acting as direct anchors that bound his soul with these affinities.
He also distinctly saw two shining swords, these were astral manifestations of his weapons, floating silently in this inner space.
They were positioned a bit farther away from these colourful elental energies.
[Those are Earth Cleaver and Lost Echo.] The System clarified verifying his speculations.
[Now, the host needs to focus only on the radiant whitish-blue energy.]
The system gave its next instructions.
Klaus ntally shifted his focus, attempting to pinpoint the specific energy cloud.
"This one?" he thought, directing his internal gaze towards a bright, shimring mass.
[No, that’s water.] The system promptly corrected him.
"Okay, so this one?" Klaus tried again,
adjusting his internal perception to a different, less vibrant energy signature.
[No, that is a skill.] the System stated
"This??"
Klaus tried one more ti, his focus finally resting on a particular cloud of bright bluish-white energy. It was more radiant than the water affinity, but it possessed a unique, distinct coldness to its essence.
[Yup. Go ahead and focus on it]
Klaus focused intently on that specific dull bluish-white energy cloud.
As soon as his ntal concentration locked onto it, he felt an imdiate, powerful pulling force.
His consciousness was forcibly drawn inside, a sensation that was both disorienting and exhilarating, like being pulled through a sudden, unseen vortex.
His inner vision blurred montarily, then snapped back into sharp focus. He found himself transported.
He was now standing in what appeared to be a small, entirely white room.
The space was utterly featureless; there was nothing but pure, unblemished white in every direction—walls, floor, ceiling, all rged seamlessly into an infinite expanse of white.
His senses felt strangely muted, almost dulled.
The mild cold of the Frost Fang Dungeon, the subtle sounds of distant winds, the dull sll of frozen all sensory input from his physical body was gone.
"Huh??? Where am I?"
Klaus asked aloud, his voice sounding strangely clear and resonant in the absolute stillness of this new place.
A flicker of genuine bewildernt crossed his face.
He was accustod to strange phenona and new realities, but this was a completely novel experience.
[host This is your astral projection and your body is in the sa place as before]
"Oh, but where are we for gods’ sake?" Klaus pressed, demanding clearer information.
[Host, this is the Manifestation Plane. It is a unique power granted only to bearers of very high elental affinity.]
"Well, 1.8% is not that high, right?" Klaus questioned, still thinking of percentages in a conventional, nurical sense, where 100% represented the absolute maximum.
He believed 1.8% was a relatively small fraction.
[Nurically it may be misleading, but the percentage signifies how easily the elent can manifest itself through the host as a dium.
Even 1.8% is heaven-defying.
Even an apostle of the ice god would not have this much control over the elent although when we look at the vast universe there are a few beings better than the current you]
"Well, that was obvious. I don’t expect myself to beco a heaven-fucking god in a few weeks"
Klaus said while laughing heartedly.
The idea that he was already approaching the level of an "apostle of an Ice God" in terms of direct elental control was amusing,
Though he maintained a pragmatic understanding of his current limitations within the grander scale of the universe.
"So, now tell , what exactly is this Manifestation Plane used for?" Klaus inquired, his voice now entirely focused, ready to absorb the crucial new information.
[From the manifestation plane the host can command the elent to manifest in certain ways.
Once the manifestation is complete it can be granted to you in various forms by the elent,
According to the current limitations of you and your environnt, the manifestation will be it will be in the form of a skill.]
"Okay, and I an, how should I start? Like, can you give an example?" Klaus asked, wanting a concrete, step-by-step guide to begin the process.
He needed a clear thodology, not just abstract concepts.
[Certainly. The host would first have to sit down, as you are, and establish a profound ntal and spiritual connection with the plane itself, making a deep, intuitive link with its ethereal essence.
Then, on the flat, pristine white floor beneath you, using your fingers as a physical-ntal dium, you would need to etch the precise effects you desire for the skill.
This includes the chosen na of the skill and also the entire step-by-step execution process of the skill,
detailing how the mana and elental energy should move and interact to achieve the desired outco.
There is no language limitation; the characters etched by you are simply a universal dium to convey your exact thoughts, will, and ntal blueprint onto the elent itself.
For example, to create a simple skill like ice spike host would write the na and the effects and then in the execution process,
he will explain the movent of ice mana
e.g. ice mana crystallises in the shape of a cone. And a burst of air created by high pressure due to the unequal presence of mana launches the ice spike forward toward the target ]
[Note: The more specific, detailed, and complex the execution process you describe, the higher the chances are for the desired skill to fully manifest as intended.
More complex and higher-ranked effects generally necessitate more intricate and detailed execution processes, as the elent requires precise instruction for complex actions.
It’s similar to advanced computer programming in so contexts, where exact syntax and logical flow are critical for a program to function correctly,
with only the ’syntax’ here being the simple act of thought-etching your will directly. Your understanding of the elent and your own will are the primary coding languages in this plane.]
"Hahah!!, why do I think this is more of an aptitude and science test than anything else?"
[because it is] the system replied
"heheh, well the understanding of my ice elent has naturally increased with my increasing affinity
and with the knowledge from various web novels and science lessons.
I had even learnt how to write basic code back then. I believe I should be able to create a few skills."
"But how do I write? Do I need a pen or sothing?"
He asked, looking at his empty hands in the featureless white space.
[Use your index finger.
Simply think about the word or symbol you want to etch, and it will appear, following the precise path of your finger as you ntally trace it.
Your will itself is the dium.]
Klaus did so, following the system’s precise guidance.
He extended his right index finger, visualising a word.
New, shimring golden characters imdiately appeared on the pristine white floor,
precisely tracing the path of his finger as he ntally ford them. He experinted, writing his na.
Klaus
"Okay, now, how do I erase it?" he asked, curious about the basic interface controls of this unique ntal space.
[Use your palm and rub the symbol while thinking of erasing it. Your intent will command the plane.]
Klaus followed the instructions. He placed his palm over the golden letters and ntally willed them to disappear.
Instantly, the golden symbols shimred and then vanished without a trace, leaving the white floor as pristine as it had been before.
"Well then, let’s start," Klaus said, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face.
