Rosemary was a bit taken aback and asked, "What brings you here?"

"If I hadn’t shown up, I wouldn’t have known soone was ssing with you." Roo gently patted her head, then glared at Mr. Panter.

"Mr. Panter, are you going to discipline your kid, or should I do the honors?"

At those words, Mr. Panter nearly lost his legs from fear and apologized profusely.

"This is just a minor issue; no need to bother Mr. McMillian."

Seeing the affectionate interaction between Roo and Rosemary, it was clear as day they were a couple.

Knowing his son had ssed up big ti, Mr. Panter was filled with regret. But all he could do was wipe the sweat from his forehead and face his good-for-nothing son.

"Dad—"

Zachary didn’t even finish his sentence when his father slapped him hard across the face.

"You ungrateful brat! How dare you offend Mr. McMillian’s friend!"

Zachary had been pampered since childhood and couldn’t stand the sudden slap. He almost fell to the ground.

"Zachary."

Yolanda was scared out of her wits, not expecting Mr. Panter to smack his own son so hard.

Hearing her voice, Mr. Panter turned his attention to her, a flash of anger in his eyes.

"We’ll deal with your issue later!"

Yolanda was scared stiff, feeling all eyes on her. Her face turned extrely red with embarrassnt.

The slap had split Zachary’s lip, drawing blood.

But Mr. Panter wasn’t done with him. He slapped him repeatedly.

"You ignorant fool! I’m going to take this opportunity to teach you a lesson! Rember this—steer clear of Mr. McMillian’s friends! If you dare offend them again, I’ll break your hands!"

Zachary was dizzy from the blows. He had never imagined that the handso man was Rosemary’s boyfriend.

He had thought Rosemary was cold to him because he pursued her and then vanished, so she was angry.

He thought she held a grudge because he chose Yolanda, decided to get engaged to her, and thus hurt her.

Because she couldn’t have him, she was stirring up trouble.

She wasn’t talking to him because Yolanda was around.

He never thought—Rosemary simply didn’t give a damn about him!

Rosemary’s boyfriend was the world’s richest man, standing at the pinnacle of society—young, handso, and imnsely wealthy.

How could Rosemary possibly fancy him?

Zachary laughed at himself. No wonder Rosemary always looked at him with disdain and indifference.

Turns out, Rosemary truly looked down on him—not even worth a glance.

She probably thought he was crazy!

And he only realized it now.

What a fool!

Such a fool!

"Got that?"

Mr. Panter, tired from hitting, gave him another hard kick.

Zachary curled up on the floor, kicked by his father. He was in so much pain he was about to pass out.

He had never been so humiliated in his life! Especially in front of so many important people!

"Mr. Panter, you’re not as young as you used to be. You should take it easy," Erlinda suggested out of kindness.

Mr. Panter didn’t expect Erlinda to speak up for him. He felt his tough love approach was effective and quickly expressed his gratitude.

"Thanks for your concern, Ms. Archer. About this matter—"

"Perhaps you could use so tools to save so energy. After all, you’ll need to further educate him when you get back. I happen to have so at ho! Just wait a mont. I’ll have soone bring it for you."

Erlinda had soone fetch a bat.

Mr. Panter didn’t expect Erlinda to add fuel to the fire instead of helping. His face imdiately turned sour.

"Lucky you’re here to discipline him today. Otherwise, my people—being young and strong—might have accidentally hurt your son. Then the Panter family’s lineage would, you know..."

Erlinda’s intention was clear.

Either Mr. Panter kept teaching him a lesson with the bat, or Ms. Archer stepped in. If Zachary got hurt, he couldn’t bla them.

Mrs. Panter was heartbroken but couldn’t stop it. After all, her son had pissed off three families today!

Each of these families was seriously heavy-duty!

He could only bear the pain!

Mr. Panter closed his eyes, picked up the bat, and kept walloping Zachary.

"You ungrateful brat! You’ve lost face for the Panter family."

He went on for a while.

"Mr. Panter, knock it off." Erlinda repeatedly said, "The bat isn’t doing much good. Let’s get Mr. Panter sothing else."

Everyone: ????

Erlinda was so decisive! Her take-no-prisoners attitude was too much for most people!

Mr. Panter was completely thrown.

"Ms. Archer..."

"This one is sturdy, very useful!"

Erlinda handed a knife to Mr. Panter, grinning from ear to ear, looking very sincere.

Mr. Panter was all, "Ms. Archer, this isn’t right."

"Why not?"

Erlinda suddenly slashed Zachary’s hand.

She just happened to slash the hand that had touched Rosemary.

Zachary probably didn’t see that coming. He shrieked in pain, shaking all over.

Erlinda casually raised an eyebrow at everyone.

"Hear that? Much more effective."

Everyone: !!!!

"Ms. Archer, please, I beg you to spare my son! He’s had enough. I’m kneeling down to you!"

Mrs. Panter, crying, suddenly knelt before Erlinda.

Erlinda looked at the knife in her hand, smiling.

"Begging won’t do you any good."

Mrs. Panter got it and knelt in front of Rosemary, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Rosemary, I was wrong to bla you earlier. I thought you were the one bothering Zachary. It was all my fault, and I’m kneeling to apologize. Can you let Zachary go?"

Mrs. Panter bowed repeatedly.

"It was all my mistake. I believed others without checking the facts."

Hearing this, the whole Attlee family jumped, worried this would affect them.

"I was wrong, and I’ll never do it again. I’ll make Zachary stay away from you, okay?"

"Mrs. Panter, are you trying to put my fiancée on the spot?"

Just then, a chilly voice rang out, and everyone saw Roo protecting Rosemary, glaring at Mrs. Panter.

’Fiancée??’

Mrs. Panter’s tears were stuck in her eyes.

Everyone was taken aback.

’Fiancée?!’

This girl right here was Roo’s fiancée?!

The Panter family was toast!!

Mr. Panter’s mind went blank.

Even Zachary, in his pain, could hardly believe it.

Rosemary wasn’t Roo’s girlfriend.

She was his fiancée?!

Being a fiancée was way more serious than being a girlfriend!

It’s over.

It’s over.

It’s really over today!

"Your son disrespected my fiancée. Paying a price isn’t too much, right?"

Mr. Panter knew his son had to pay a heavy price today. He lowered his head and said, "That’s fair."

"Dad?"

Mr. Panter took the knife from Erlinda, looking at his son with mixed feelings.

"If you want to bla soone, bla yourself for not knowing any better and ssing with soone you shouldn’t have!"
