She had already given her money several tis before.
"I’ve been throwing chump change at you before, but today your bank card’s got no limit. Just buy whatever you fancy, don’t sweat it."
"Mum, why are you copying ?" David, who was munching on snacks, quickly looked up. "Are you trying to outshine ? Do you know how hard it was for to win Rose’s heart?"
"So, only you can shower Rose with gifts, and I can’t?" Louisa insisted she accept. "Just take it. I didn’t bring it out earlier because Serena was there, and I didn’t want her to think I was playing favorites."
Upon hearing this, Serena upstairs clenched her fists in frustration. How could this be fair? Wasn’t this blatant favoritism?
"Just take it. No more refusals. Louisa wouldn’t let her return the card. Holding her hand, she said,
"Your dad told you aced the test, so we have to celebrate. Your grandparents aren’t well yet, and your other grandparents and uncles are abroad. We don’t want to invite those distant relatives, so we’re thinking of having dinner at Roo’s place and introducing you to your uncle."
"My uncle?"
Turned out she had an uncle?
"Your dad has a brother and a sister." Louisa said with a smile, "But your aunt lives abroad, she’s busy and seldom cos back. After your grandparents, recover, I’ll invite your aunt’s family so our big family can reunite. For now, we’ll et your uncle’s family."
"Okay."
Seeing her agreent, Louisa arranged, "Then I’ll book it for the day after tomorrow, at the Dawn Restaurant. I’ll let Roo know to reserve the largest private room
for us."
"Okay." Rosemary chatted with her for a while before heading upstairs to take a bath.
Serena was filled with jealousy. Her grades were not bad either, but her mother didn’t host a banquet for her.
The next day.
Rosemary walked out of Reflections Villa’s gate and handed the prepared gift to Roo.
"This is for you."
Roo was surprised, he had a gift? This was the first ti he received a gift from her.
He couldn’t help the joy and excitent, opening the bag to find a variety of items.
"I made the clothes myself."
She would make clothes in her spare ti. After completing a few sets, she thought it was too little and prepared other things.
"And this, you’re under a lot of stress. These are tablets, you can drop one in water and drink it when you have ti." Rosemary took out a small bottle.
She made the dicine herself, which could alleviate stress and be beneficial to physical and ntal health.
He had other gifts to receive.
Roo, holding the gift in one hand and hugging her joyfully with the other, whispered in her ear,
"You’re the best gift heaven has ever given ." Rosemary could tell he was happy. She didn’t expect him to be so thrilled over so random things she prepared.
Her mum was right that Roo had given her so many gifts, and it was only right for her to return the favor.
"There are pajamas, suits, shirts, socks, and so on, and also," Rosemary trailed off before she could finish.
"And what else?"
"You’ll see when you get ho."
Seeing a slight blush on Rosemary’s face, Roo had a hunch and leaned in to whisper, "Is it intimate apparel?"
He chuckled, "How did you know my size?"
"Roo!"
"You look so adorable when you’re blushing." Roo gently touched her face, his eyes full of affection,
"I never thought you’d have such a shy side. It’s too cute. You’re so generous."
Either she gave no gifts at all, or she gave a whole load of them.
"This is my first ti giving gifts. If there are things you don’t like, you don’t have to force yourself to keep them."
"Even if you gave a leaf, it would be the best gift in the world to . It’s just," Roo looked down at the bag in his hands, sowhat reluctant to let go. Rosemary looked up at him, "What?"
"I really want to keep these things."
These were all gifts that Rosemary had personally chosen for him, and so were even handcrafted by her. He really didn’t want to use them.
Rosemary saw the reluctance in his eyes, "If you like, I can give you more in the future, especially the clothes. If you want them today, I can send them to you tomorrow. If you want to keep them, I can
design a few more sets for you to keep."
Roo chuckled at her words, and gently touched her face, "I don’t want you to work so hard. When did you prepare all this?"
When she was with him, she didn’t have ti to do anything.
She must have taken a lot of ti off to surprise him.
And he was clueless, often sending her ho late.
She must not have had enough rest during this ti.
Thinking about this, he felt a pang of guilt.
Rosemary understood what he was thinking and casually said, "I didn’t spend much ti. My mom wants to invite my uncle’s family to dinner tomorrow. You should co."
Although Roo had received a call from Louisa the night before asking him to reserve the largest private room, he was still thrilled to hear Rosemary’s invitation, "I’ll pick you up tomorrow night."
"No need, I’ll take our car."
"Then I’ll call you when I get to the restaurant."
"Alright."
Roo opened the car door for her. Today they were going to see the flowers in the largest flower sea in the neighboring city.
"It’s a bit of a long drive, you can rest a bit."
"I’m fine, I’m not tired." Rosemary took out her phone to handle so work.
Roo covered her screen as he waited for the traffic light, his tone gentle, "Looking at your phone in the car is bad for your eyes."
"You’re quite the busybody."
"That’s because I care about you." Roo smiled, "In this life, only you can boss around. I wouldn’t dare to boss you around."
He knew his place in the family was always last, Rose was definitely first.
"So you feel quite wronged."
"I do feel a bit wronged." Roo looked at her with a smile, "But if my fiancee could care about more, and pay more attention to , then this feeling of being wronged would turn into happiness."
Rosemary put down her phone and pressed the music player in the car. Beautiful music imdiately filled the car.
"Did you write a song for David?"
