The chamber was unlike any other in Hell. It was a sanctuary of opulence, a stark contrast to the blood and tornt that defined the rest of the infernal domain.

The walls shimred with gold and silver inlays, intricate patterns of ancient symbols that glowed faintly, as if alive.

Chandeliers made of diamond-like crystals hung from the high ceiling, casting a warm, golden light across the room. The floor was marble, polished to perfection, and rugs of deep crimson and black adorned the spaces, their textures rich and soft. Decorative columns lined the walls, each encrusted with jewels that sparkled like stars in the dim glow.

Despite its grandeur, the room exuded an eerie stillness, as though it were untouched by ti.

Every detail seed painstakingly crafted to reflect a long-lost age of beauty, a silent reminder of Hell’s once-glorious queen.

As Athena stepped in, the silence was broken by a sudden, almost childlike burst of energy. A woman, her long red hair cascading like rivers of blood down her back, rushed across the room.

She wore silk pajamas—pink, soft, and utterly out of place in the grand setting—with a stuffed teddy bear clutched tightly in one hand. Her expression was one of pure joy mixed with indignation, and she threw herself into Athena’s arms, embracing her tightly.

The woman didn’t speak; she couldn’t. Instead, she gestured rapidly with her free hand, her movents exaggerated to convey her frustration. Her pout was both endearing and heartbreaking as she communicated her dissatisfaction.

Athena smiled softly, her voice gentle as she addressed her. "I’m sorry, my queen," she said, stroking the woman’s hair. "I know I promised to play with you an hour ago, but I was... delayed."

The red-haired woman pulled back slightly, her lip trembling, and gestured again, this ti signaling how much she had missed Athena.

Tears began to well in her fiery eyes, spilling over as she clung to Athena with the desperation of a child afraid of being abandoned.

Athena’s expression softened further, and she pulled the woman closer, patting her head with care. "Shh... it’s okay, my queen. I’m here now," she said, her voice a soothing lody. "I’ll always be here for you. I’ll never leave you. I promise."

This fragile, childlike figure was none other than Lilith, the Queen and Mother of Hell. Once the most fearso and commanding presence in existence, now she was a shadow of her forr self. No one in Hell would believe that this vulnerable creature, tears streaking her cheeks as she held a teddy bear, was the sa Lilith who had struck fear into demons, devils, gods and mortals alike.

But Athena knew. She was the only one who did—her and Virgil.

Lilith had given everything. To break the Wheel of Rebirth in Lady Death’s realm, she had sacrificed her greatest treasure, the knowledge she had acquired from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge in the first garden of Eden.

That knowledge had been the cornerstone of her power, and without it, she was left hollow and weak. She could no longer even project her thoughts into another’s mind. The mighty Queen of Hell, now dumb and fragile, had paid the ultimate price so that her son, Lenny Tales, could be reborn.

Athena held her tightly, her hand stroking Lilith’s long, silken hair. "You’ve sacrificed so much, my queen," Athena whispered, her voice barely audible. "I swore to serve you, and I will. No matter what, I’ll protect you and the peace you’ve fought for."

Lilith sniffled and nodded, her eyes closing as she leaned against Athena’s chest. Despite her childlike deanor, there was still a faint glimr of her old self in her eyes—a spark of the unyielding queen who had once ruled Hell with an iron will.

Athena looked down at her with a mixture of love and pity. She had never seen a fall from grace as profound as Lilith’s, and yet, she admired her queen even more for the sacrifice she had made. Few would give so much for another, and fewer still would do so for a world as unforgiving as Hell.

Her thoughts darkened as she considered the consequences of this fragile truth. If the other devils, particularly the Cup Bearers, learned of Lilith’s weakened state, they would turn on her like vultures. Chaos would erupt, and the tenuous peace of Hell would shatter. Athena clenched her jaw, her resolve hardening.

She spoke again, her voice firm this ti. "No one will ever know, my queen. I will ensure that Hell remains yours, no matter what it takes. This throne, this realm—they will not fall to those unworthy of your sacrifice...Besides, there is good news. Your sacrifice paid off... soon, he will be here. He will co... that asshole has to co."

Lilith looked up at her, smiling faintly as tears still streaked her cheeks. She didn’t understand the full weight of Athena’s words, but the comfort in her guardian’s arms was enough for now. Athena continued to stroke her hair, vowing silently to protect the secret that could destroy them all.

.....

Athena spent a little more ti with Lilith, indulging her queen’s childlike whims. They played simple gas, the kind Lilith enjoyed most, and Athena couldn’t help but smile faintly at how much joy it brought her. It was bittersweet to see the once-powerful queen so innocent now, her laughter soft and pure. When the ti ca to leave, Lilith clung to her arm, shaking her head, her gestures pleading for Athena to stay.

Athena knelt beside her, brushing her fingers gently through Lilith’s crimson hair. "You need your rest, my queen," she said softly. "I promise I won’t be far. Close your eyes for , just for a little while."

Lilith pouted, reluctant, but the calming tone of Athena’s voice and her steady presence soon lulled her into a peaceful slumber. Athena stood, gazing down at her with a mix of affection and sorrow before quietly exiting the chamber.

Outside the Blood Castle, a massive hell beast awaited her. It stood taller than any structure nearby, its body a grotesque mix of muscle, stones and mashed at.

Its fiery red eyes glead with intelligence and ferocity. This beast had been with Athena since the very beginning, when she had first entered Hell. Back then, it had been smaller and wilder, but now it had grown into a creature that commanded respect and terror.

As Athena approached, the beast lowered its head, and she stroked its scaly snout with familiarity before climbing onto its back. From its sides, enormous wings of fire unfurled, blazing against the dark sky as it launched into the air. The heat of its flas rippled across the atmosphere, a visible warning to all who might dare to challenge her.

The journey was brief, and soon the beast descended, landing outside another castle—this one darker and more ominous in appearance, with jagged towers that seed to pierce the heavens. Athena dismounted, her boots clicking against the stone as she approached.

Even before she reached the entrance, the sounds of moans echoed through the corridors. She sighed inwardly but pushed open the heavy door without hesitation. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of lust and debauchery.

In the center of the grand chamber was an enormous bed, draped in silken sheets and surrounded by low, flickering lanterns. On it lay Moranda, tangled with two succubi, their bodies entwined in a scene of indulgence and vice. They were so consud in their act that they didn’t notice Athena’s presence until a low, deliberate cough cut through the air like a blade.

The room fell silent instantly. Moranda and the succubi turned, their faces pale as they scrambled to compose themselves. The succubi fell to their knees, bowing deeply, their voices trembling as they greeted the Regent.

Athena’s expression remained neutral, though her cold gaze spoke volus. With a casual wave of her hand, she summoned a sword of fire into existence, its blade crackling nacingly. "I have business with Moranda," she said evenly. "Leave us."

The succubi didn’t hesitate, their fear palpable as they gathered their garnts and fled the room. They assud, naturally, that Athena was here to deliver punishnt. After all, tensions between her and Moranda had been evident earlier that day.

Once the door slamd shut behind them, the chamber was silent again, save for the faint hum of the flaming sword in Athena’s hand. She stood motionless, her eyes fixed on Moranda, who now sat up, his deanor cautious but defiant.... and then...
