How long had it been since…? I am not sure anymore. Everything was dark for a while, then I heard a voice call . 'Ravedos,' it said faintly but repeatedly. I couldn't look around; I couldn't move my body.
Over and over again, the voice called . Then it stopped, before troubling words were said. 'Your dinsion is in danger,' quite faint the words were. I could barely make out those words at all.
The last words the voice spoke were, 'Your power will be tested!' That was the last thing I heard before I was left in the dark alone, constrained to sothing I didn't see.
I couldn't help but replay the last words spoken in my mind. 'What does that an?' I asked myself. Though the silence helped think, it just didn't feel safe. My body was in fight-or-flight mode, but I didn't see any danger.
That was what I had thought, but I rember that Dr. Portford poisoned . Then a saw-like tool was turned on, and it was inching closer to my skin, but I couldn't stop it.
Then an individual walked into the area where I was. "Gauss, what the fuck are you doing!?" a female shouted.
From what I could make out, the woman approached the person she was angry with. "Dr. Portford, what a pleasant surprise. I was about to start the procedure on our patient," the man spoke nervously.
"I thought I told you that we would not be doing anything other than taking blood from him. But I guess that may have flown over your head and your assistants. Cease your stupid experints and check on the other test subjects."
"Well, I thought it would be best to collect more DNA samples from him."
"You thought it would be best? Where do you sit in the hierarchy, Gauss? Tell !"
"…"
"Now go do what I had instructed you to and leave him with ,"
Grunting frustratedly, the one I assud to be Gauss, walked out of the room. Portford was left behind. She walked toward and stood by . She chuckled, "You are very important for my plans. You are what we needed, and I implore you for coming here, accepting my invitation. How gullible was the renounced Captain, many have not known? Ironic." She spoke then chuckled.
After her monologue, she had left.
I was aware of my surroundings; however, I was unable to look around, move, or speak because I was paralysed. My eyes were too heavy to be opened.
'What did she use on ? The Dragon Moon flower? Where did she get it? How did she get it?' were the thoughts I had in my mind. I spent most of my ti in my mind from then on.
Hours later, I could feel the effects of the drug wear off. My eyes beca lighter, and I opened them, blinded by the light. I squinted to allow them to readjust.
The room I was in looked like a small theatre for dical surgeries. I looked down at my wrists, tightly strapped to the bed. I tried to free myself, but my arms were weak.
'Fuck! I guess I have to let more of it wear off before I can do anything.' I thought. I looked again, and in my arms were multi-sample needles and vacuum-sealed tubes, collecting large volus of my blood, drip after drip.
It was ticulously set up. The drips were slow to ensure not too much of my blood was extracted too quickly, and fast enough to wait for a filled container.
Ugh! How did things end up like this? I didn't react fast enough to stop this. Maybe I had fallen into her trap by accepting the invite. One of the many mistakes I had made, but then I looked back at her conversation earlier with Gauss.
She had reasons for having in such a position. She needed more DNA to continue with her cloning. She wanted an abundance to work with. She wanted them perfect, resembling in all aspects but not truly identical. The sa power that could destroy cities and civilizations.
Why? What were her motives and ambitions? Questions I could only ask since I have nothing else but ti.
Footsteps were approaching the room. My eyes were set on the doors, waiting for whoever to enter. She had opened the white artistically engraved door, this ti wearing her lab coat.
When her eyes t mine, she couldn't help but smile as the serpent she was. She walked around the bed toward a counter, searching for sothing she would use. "Looking for sothing?" I asked.
She stopped and turned, looking at , folding her arms under her chest. "Hmm, I am guessing that the drug isn't lasting as long as it should?" she asked rhetorically. I only stared back. She smirked.
"Siphoning this much blood from you has the disadvantage of decreasing the amount of the drug in your blood." She spoke.
Then she walked toward the container that was collecting my blood and checked the amount inside. "I guess this much will do. If you want, I could get you out of the constraints?"
"What are you saying? Are you letting go?"
"Why, yes! I have already acquired what I wanted from you. What then do I need more of you?"
The silence fell between us. Sothing was amiss. I had not expected a determined doctor such as to release her very source of DNA. Then I noticed a strange feeling emanating from her. It wasn't human, and that ant that it wasn't her either.
"Where is she?"
"I beg your pardon."
I then glared at her. She looked confused, as if I had asked her sothing out of her scope of study. Another set of footsteps approached the room as well, a bit fast-paced.
Bursting in through the door was Dr. Portford, holding a weapon. She stood in front of and looked at herself standing on the other side. "Caitlyn, what the fuck do you think you are doing here!?" she demanded to know from Caitlyn.
She was angry, but she had composed herself to disguise her frustration. Caitlyn couldn't speak without stuttering. She was scared of the doctor. "I-I-I was looking for sothing of y-y-y-yours,"
"Did you find what you are looking for?"
She only shook her head. "Then go back to your cell, then."
Without another word, she had left the room. Dr. Portford then cleared her throat and fixed up her outfit. "I am sorry about that, Captain. You weren't supposed to see that. In fact, you weren't supposed to see any of this."
Stepping to my side, I tried to use my strength to break. Alas, I was still too weak to escape. The weapon she had in her hand was another syringe with another high dose of the drug, injecting into my neck again.
Then she turned toward the door and spoke, "Enjoy your stay with us," in a soft-spoken tone. Through the door she left, while I was struggling on the bed, the drug was taking effect, and I passed out monts later.
