Gabrielle Winters was assisting him, learning so skills along the way.

Nick Zeller, on the other hand, was doing the books on the computer.

Even though their "Great Heavenly Master Agency" didn’t have a lot of business, each inco was quite substantial.

Just like with selling antiques, they might go for three years without a deal, but when a deal happens, it’s enough for three years.

Of course, it’s not that exaggerated.

On average, they had a deal every month, but only on average.

In reality, sotis two or three deals ca through in a month, and sotis there weren’t any for two or three months.

But now that the old Daoist was living with them, all of his business deals involved Nick Zeller, giving him an extra commission.

For the old Daoist’s deals, Nick could earn a thirty percent commission.

With the old Daoist’s caliber, his rates were much higher than Nick Zeller’s.

Thus, even with just a thirty percent commission, Nick matched what he used to earn running his own deals for two months.

While doing the books, he felt rather conflicted.

Simply put, it was painful yet enjoyable.

Lawrence Winters walked over to see him working on the books, surprised to find so much inco for their agency.

"Uncle, you’ve been really prosperous in business lately!"

"It’s all thanks to the ancestors," Nick Zeller said with a forced smile, "Lately, I’ve been assisting your grandmaster."

"Oh, that’s good, my mom can have a good rest at ho. Is she happy now?" Lawrence Winters was very concerned about Gabrielle Winters’s wellbeing.

"Very happy, happier than ever," Nick Zeller laughed, "And she’s given quite a few ideas. Now I let her run our online store completely, and she’s doing a great job."

"That’s great." Lawrence Winters nodded, "Now I have nothing to worry about."

Nick Zeller playfully tapped her nose, "You’re the one talking big! Your mom should be worried about you, not the other way around."

Lawrence Winters wrinkled her nose at Nick Zeller disdainfully, showing her contempt.

...

Ti flew by quickly, and soon it would be the New Year again.

This ti, Kenneth Osborne planned to return to River City for the New Year, but before that, he used his own earnings to pay the down paynt on a three-bedroom apartnt.

He was a bit strapped for cash, only managing to put down a twenty percent down paynt, but with his inco, covering the remaining eighty percent was still easy.

To ensure Lawrence Winters could move in with him legitimately, he intended to add her na when applying for the mortgage.

Though he wouldn’t have her contribute to the mortgage paynts, this was the only way to add her na because they weren’t married yet.

However, when applying for the mortgage, it was discovered that Lawrence Winters already owned a property with a mortgage, making her ineligible for a second property.

So he had no choice but to take out the mortgage himself, with only his na on it.

When Lawrence Winters found out about it, she just found it amusing and said, "Ken, were you planning to act first and report later?"

Kenneth Osborne laughed and said, "I was thinking about it, but it didn’t work out. Don’t worry, though, I’ll be able to pay off the entire loan in two years. Then we can add your na."

"It’s not like I don’t have a place to live," Lawrence Winters shook her head with a smile, boastfully saying, "Who cares..."

"I care about you, alright?" Kenneth Osborne wrapped his arms around her waist, letting her sit on his lap, "You’ve already seen that house, and I only bought it after you nodded. It’s finely decorated, the owner bought it years ago and never lived there, now rushing to cash out and sell. We can move in with just our luggage."

"Yes, I do like their decoration, it’s classy and delicate, with top-notch brands used, you really got a bargain," Lawrence Winters said a bit sourly, "Compared to that, our apartnt feels a bit expensive..."

The three-bedroom Kenneth Osborne bought wasn’t far from their neighborhood, a so-called school district house, not cheap per square ter, but not as high in total price as the expansive one Lawrence Winters had.

"Your mansion, mine’s just a commoner’s house, how can it compare?" Kenneth Osborne grinned, "By the way, I have to return to River City for New Year, I’ll leave the key to our new ho with you, can you keep an eye on it for ?"

"Huh? You’re going back to River City for New Year? I thought you bought that place to invite your parents to the Capital City for the festival," Lawrence Winters said, surprised.

"I never planned on that," Kenneth Osborne smiled wryly, "That’s our little world, why would I let others move in? But when my second batch of goods cos through, I’ll buy another duplex with a yard in the suburbs, neither too far nor too close to the Capital City, suitable for the elders."

"Wow, Ken, you’re impressive. Just two years in the Capital City and already two properties, I’m in awe!" Lawrence Winters mockingly bowed with deep respect.

Kenneth Osborne pinched her cheek with a laugh, "Neither of these are my true favorites. Once my company is on track, we’ll pick a wedding ho together."

"...Wedding ho?" Lawrence Winters blushed, trying to stay calm, "But you haven’t proposed yet..."

That’s when Kenneth Osborne took out a small jewelry box, stood her up from his lap, knelt on one knee, looked up at her and said with a smile, "Nora, I want you to be my wife, will you marry ?"

Lawrence Winters was totally unprepared, covering her face, wanting to scream, floating as if she was about to fly off the ground.

She looked down at that at least three-carat diamond ring, just like the kind she often told Kenneth Osborne about when she was younger, what kind of wedding ring she would have if she got married.

Like a movie princess, a Tiffany princess-cut ring, six-prong setting, the big diamond crystal-clear, glowing subtly blue, surrounded by a circle of small diamonds, all of very high clarity.

Under the light, it shone with brilliant colorful hues.

"Do you?" Kenneth Osborne asked again, seeing that Lawrence Winters hadn’t answered.

Lawrence Winters quickly nodded, "I do! I do!"

A wedding ring from childhood dreams, she would die before saying no!

Kenneth Osborne smiled with pressed lips, sliding that ring onto her left hand’s middle finger.

Lawrence Winters couldn’t get enough of it, admiring the diamond ring on her finger, fitting perfectly, showing off her fingers in such fair and slender elegance.

She basked in happiness for a while, suddenly realizing, covering her face, "Oh my! I haven’t even told my mom and uncle yet, how could I just agree?!—I’m dood! They’ll definitely kill !"
