Grass-lined paths made of bluestone ander forward, leading toward several white European-style detached villas dotted across the lush green lawns.

Standing on the lawn looking ahead, the sea is not far away, offering a truly unbeatable seascape.

Molly Zimrman stared intently, mouth agape.

She had visited the Spencer Family’s mansion in downtown Z City, which she thought was already the best.

Until she saw this estate.

Hazel Winchester watched her awe-struck expression with satisfaction and gently said with a smile, "...Do you like it here?"

"I love it!" Molly Zimrman nodded vigorously, her eyes bright and sparkling with the vitality and allure unique to young girls.

"If you like it, stay with for a while." Hazel Winchester patted her head kindly and said, "Just consider this your ho."

"Yes, yes, yes! Thank you, Aunt!" Molly Zimrman nodded vigorously, planning to flatter Hazel Winchester and Caron Spencer with all her energy.

Sumr Spencer rolled her eyes at the two, who seed like mother and daughter, and impatiently said, "Can you two stop flaunting your relationship for a while? Dad is waiting for us to visit him."

She also had to apologize and admit her mistakes to Dad, and just thinking about it made her anxious.

Hazel Winchester nodded, pulling Molly Zimrman along as they walked behind Sumr Spencer.

The three of them arrived at the largest European-style villa in the center where Caron Spencer lived.

This estate is where the Spencer Family spends their winter holiday during the Lunar New Year.

In her childhood, Sumr Spencer loved visiting here in winter for wild frolics and collecting shells on their private beach.

Later, when the Spencer family children reached school age, one after another went abroad for studies.

Foreign countries don’t observe the Lunar New Year, so they still had classes during that ti, and the Spencer family hadn’t visited here in many years.

Now returning to the old place, Sumr Spencer felt both guilty and warm.

She walked up the steps, where a dazzling woman dressed in English riding gear erged from behind the white columns.

"Sis, you’re already here?" Sumr Spencer looked up and saw Spring Spencer.

Spring Spencer had a riding crop in her hand, flicked it lightly, raised her chin in the direction of Hazel Winchester and Molly Zimrman, and asked, "It’s okay for Aunt Hazel to follow, but why did she bring her along?"

Sumr Spencer snorted lightly, "You should ask Mom about that."

Spring Spencer chuckled, dropped the subject, and said, "Since you’re here, let’s go inside together."

After two steps, she paused to remind Sumr Spencer and Hazel Winchester, "Big brother is here too, waiting inside. No matter what you see, don’t be too shocked. You know Dad’s temper better than I do."

Hazel Winchester didn’t mind at all; she smiled and said, "I know, Spring, thank you for the reminder."

Spring Spencer glanced at her with a smile and then turned to walk inside again.

Molly Zimrman was quite nervous.

She followed closely beside Hazel Winchester, her eyes constantly glancing at the decorations here.

Unexpectedly, although the villa looks European on the outside, the interior is wholly localized, resembling ancient aristocratic families.

Delicate rosewood screens divide the entire hall into compartntalized spaces.

The floor is dark brown hardwood, covered with a wool carpet featuring ruyi cloud patterns.

After walking down the long corridor, a human-sized double-sided embroidered silk screen greeted her.

The cats on the screen looked so lifelike, as if they could ow at any mont.

After rounding the screen, she was confronted with an ancient living room that could appear in any period drama without modification.

A wall opposite hung an ink peony painting; she didn’t have ti to see whether it was a genuine piece.

Below the painting was a narrow altar table, on which a bronze incense burner sat centerpiece without incense in it.

To the left of the incense burner was a pot of white callias, and to the right was a small Boshan censer.

In front of the altar table was a square-shaped Huanghuali Eight Immortals table, each side accompanied by Huanghuali official chairs draped with brocade covers matching the carpet’s pattern.

The hall’s left and right sides each had a row of square nanmu armchairs with cushions, looking both ancient and comfortable.

And on the seat to the left of the Eight Immortals table, sat an elderly man in a Tang suit.

His head lowered, drinking sothing from a small bowl; next to him, a woman was slightly bent, holding the bowl.

At the Eight Immortals table’s right stood Caron Spencer’s only son, Justus Spencer, expressionless.

After the old man finished drinking, the woman placed the bowl aside, skillfully took a candied fruit from a small jar on the Eight Immortals table, fed it to the elder, and gently said, "dicine leaves a bitter taste; eating a candied fruit will make it sweet again."

The elderly man chuckled, nodded, "Good, good, good, I’ll listen to you."

After speaking, he finally lifted his head and saw the four won entering.

Despite Spring Spencer’s advanced warning, Hazel Winchester, Sumr Spencer, and Molly Zimrman still widened their eyes and mouths as if they’d seen a ghost.

Hazel Winchester had been with Caron Spencer for decades and had never seen him this agreeable.

In their presence, he would always have the final say without ever showing a trace of fondness, even toward his legitimately married wife.

No one expected him to be so soft with that young woman.

Hazel Winchester felt a pang of jealousy.

Suppressing the unease in her heart, she quickly glanced at the woman.

The woman happened to turn, eting her gaze.

Yet the woman showed no intention of backing away; instead, she looked at Hazel Winchester and smiled faintly.

Hazel Winchester felt a jolt in her heart, wondering where the elder had found such a stunning woman...

Even though she didn’t seem particularly young, her eyes had the allure of spring water, and her voice was pleasing to the ear.

No wonder the elderly was still enchanted by the charms.

Hazel Winchester pondered, without revealing a hint on her face, smiling as she stepped forward, "Mr. Spencer, how have you been lately? I heard you’ve co here to recuperate, so I urged Sumr to bring over to look after you."
