Dane’s POV

My chest was still burning as I watched Hailee disappear with the boy. My boy. I could feel it deep in my bones, in my wolf’s restless growl. Slowly, I turned to Nathan. My voice ca out rough, trembling with rage.

"So you found her," I said, my eyes locked on his. "She’s here, in your pack. And you didn’t think to tell ? Even after knowing how I’ve been searching for her all these years?"

Nathan’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t answer. He turned, his broad shoulders stiff as he walked back toward the packhouse. I followed, my boots striking the ground with sharp steps.

"Don’t you dare ignore , Nathan! Why didn’t you inform ?" I barked.

He pushed into his office, but I was right behind him. The door slamd shut, the air suffocating with tension.

"Where did you find her?" I demanded, my voice echoing against the walls. "Tell —did she co to you herself? Did you drag her here? Where has she been hiding all this ti?"

Still, he said nothing. He just stood by the window, his back to , fists clenching and unclenching at his sides.

"Answer !" I roared. "If Hailee has triplets—then they are mine. They’re mine, Nathan. My wolf knows it!" My voice cracked, pain bleeding through the anger. "Where are the other kids? Where are they?"

Silence.

For a long, heavy mont, Nathan didn’t move, didn’t breathe. Then, finally, he responded.

"Dane," he said without turning around to face . "You are married."

The words struck like lightning, slamming back into the reality I’d been trying to push away. My chest heaved, and my hands trembled.

"And so fucking what!" I spat, my voice ripping out of like a roar.

Nathan finally turned, his eyes burning into mine. His voice was low and cold, but carried the weight of thunder.

"Let Hailee go, Dane. Leave her be. She’s not yours anymore."

"Never!" I snapped, stepping closer, my wolf clawing at my skin. "I’ll never let her go. Not Hailee. Not my sons. I’ll divorce my wife this instant if I have to, but I’m not walking away from her again." My chest heaved as I slamd my hand against his desk. "Where are they, Nathan? Where are my sons?"

Sothing snapped in his eyes—anger, raw and unrestrained. His voice ca out like a growl, shaking the room.

"Ten years ago, I was soft," he snarled. "That’s why I let you and Callum share her with . That’s why I held my wolf back. But not now. Not anymore."

He took a step forward, the power of his Alpha flooding the room. His jaw clenched, his hands trembling as his beast pressed against the surface.

"I am never sharing her again, Dane. Never. Not with you. Not with anyone."

My throat tightened, my wolf snarling back at him, ready to fight.

"And for the other boys..." he added, his frown deepening. "I don’t know what the truth is yet. But my wolf already claid Oscar. He is mine. And I’ll protect him—and Hailee—against anyone who dares to take them from . Even you."

My wolf howled in defiance, my fists curling so hard my nails dug into my skin. "I want to see them," I demanded.

The air in Nathan’s office was thick, choking, as we stood inches apart, our wolves straining against each other.

"You think you can keep her from ?" I growled. "You think I’ll just stand by and watch while you cage her here like so possession?"

Nathan’s eyes blazed. "She belongs here—with . Not you. Not anyone else."

"She was mine," I shouted, slamming my fist against his desk. "And if she bore my children, then nothing you say can change that."

We were toe-to-toe now, our breaths ragged, our wolves pacing like two storms ready to collide.

Then—A sharp knock cut through the tension.

Nathan’s head snapped toward the door. His voice was a low command. "Leave."

Silence. The person didn’t move.

I frowned as Nathan strode to the door, his jaw still tight with anger. He yanked it open—and my brows furrowed instantly.

Standing there was a boy. Around the sa age as the red-haired one I’d seen earlier. His features made my chest twist—his nose, the shape of his jaw, even the set of his mouth... they were almost identical to Ozzy’s. And his hair was red. And his eyes—goddess, his eyes were green.

Nathan’s face softened for a fraction of a second, the rage in him simring into sothing else entirely.

"Oscar," he said, his voice lower now. "You’re here."

My head whipped toward Nathan, my stomach dropping.

"Oscar?" I repeated, my voice trembling. "So... this is one of Hailee’s triplets?"

Nathan didn’t answer. He didn’t need to. The truth was right there in his silence, in the way he looked at the boy.

I stared at the child—at Oscar—and sothing inside twisted, confused and raw. He looked like Ozzy. Almost the sa. But my wolf...

My wolf was silent.

No growl. No claim. Nothing.

A frown cut across my face as I stared harder, my chest tight with frustration. "Why..." I whispered under my breath, my fists clenching at my sides. "Why isn’t my wolf claiming this one as mine?"

Oscar tilted his head, his green eyes flicking from Nathan to .

"Why are you both fighting?" he asked quietly, his inquisitive gaze on us. "I could hear your voices all the way down the hall."

Nathan stiffened, his jaw tightening, but said nothing. I stared at the boy—his posture, his steady gaze. He wasn’t scared; he was bloody staring right at us.

"You shouldn’t be here," Nathan muttered, his voice gentle, trying to send him away.

But Oscar didn’t move. He only tilted his head, his eyes narrowing slightly, like he’d just figured out the answer to a riddle.

"Tell sothing," he said slowly, his voice sounding more curious this ti. "Are you two fighting..." His gaze locked on mine, then slid to Nathan. "...over my mama?"
