Lights shattered around the vicinity of the rooftop where Adrian Rover was once on. That sa illumination covered Alex’s entire view as the temperatures started rising around.

Adrian’s body was teetering, creating that very explosion, as if a bomb was implanted inside of him. But that couldn’t be the case; it was most likely an incantation forced upon by the church, which Alex had nothing to go against just yet.

Alex gripped his weapon tightly, but it still wasn’t enough. For a split second, he felt a tingling heat radiating through the air.

"Timothy, cover the area."

As Alex looked to his left, it was Ron, who had a human-sized spider beside him.

"Don’t let the explosions be known. Erasure."

Cobwebs surrounded the area, and Adrian and Alex braced for impact. But the sound depleted, like nothing was ever there in the first place.

Alex looked at Ron, then looked back at Adrian, and Adrian’s body was gone.

The blood stains on his body, as a result of Alex’s weapon, weren’t lying on the rooftop anymore either. It was as if that ’self-implode’ activated so spell that’s able to erase an individual’s entire existence, as a result of a self-explosion.

The explosion itself remained inside the cobwebs, as if nothing had ever happened. There was no sound, and the light dimd rapidly.

Alex looked around for a second, but nobody noticed, and no one was around. It was late at night, and he expected as much. But Alex also knew the explosion and the burst of light would likely awaken others nearby.

But the cobwebs stopped those effects, sohow. It was now pretty obvious that Ron was more than what he let on. And Alex was highly curious, even more now, about what his newly tad human was actually capable of.

"Holy fuck, these church fellas are much more insane than I thought," Alex said, looking at Ron, "But thanks to your beast, I’m still standing. When did you even have the ti to summon him?"

Ron smiled, petting his tad creature right beside him, then kneeled before Alex.

"No worries, this right here is my partner in cri. It’s an S-Ranked beast, but not very well known, because it isn’t mainly utilized for hand-to-hand combat or front lines. I work more as an assassin, and it cos from my family’s long line of defense. Also, I’m part of the rare few who don’t need to create a summoning instilled by mana to present my beast. I’m capable enough to call out the na I chose for him," Ron said, unintentionally giving Alex far more information than he had ever expected to receive.

"Oh, cool," Alex stated, "Ron Von Vosterfold, very cool indeed."

After Alex uttered Ron’s complete na, system interfaces began appearing before him.

The mont Alex utilized [Mind-Control], it felt as though a contract had been ford—one that only he had the authority to command.

But sothing even more valuable than Ron’s rank was his beast. He possessed a Myth Beast—an S-Rank tad creature, exceedingly rare and scarcely known to society. Ron commanded an Arachveil Stalker, a creature said to be bestowed by the Spider Deity.

The Arachveil Stalker is a large spider about the size of a human, standing slightly taller when its legs fully extend.

Its body is smooth and dark, almost black like polished stone, allowing it to blend easily into shadows. The spider’s legs are long and thin, moving with quiet, controlled steps.

Across its body are thin silver patterns, similar to natural spider-silk markings. These faint lines sotis shimr slightly when the creature produces webs.

It has eight small glowing eyes, usually dim and calm, but they shine brighter when it focuses on sothing.

When it spins silk, the webs are much thicker and stronger than normal, almost like threads made from tal fibers.

Despite its size, the spider moves quietly and patiently, rarely making sudden movents. It often stays close to its master, watching its surroundings carefully.

Amongst all this, there was still a problem.

"But now, remains the issue." Alex whispered, sighing worrisoly, "How will we erase Adrian’s existence from the church. They’ll gain suspicion, knowing he won’t be able to report any notes back to them now that he’s dead."

"That’s completely fine, sir. I’ll be able to handle it." Ron smirked as he looked at his tad creature, "You understand the task? And have you gained information?"

The creature nodded twice, "Of course, master."

’It talked?’ Alex thought, but then it grew into sothing much more surprising than he initially would’ve imagined. ’In the sa voice as that of Adrian Rover, no less.’

"Please do not look at him with that surprised face, sir," Ron stated, "My tad beast can take on any individual’s persona and look as long as he gains enough information. They can also replicate the look of one’s tad creature through the use of cobwebs."

Ron looked at Timothy, who now took on Adrian Rover’s appearance and persona, "Play with the act, and I’ll continue instilling you with mana. You should understand your task." Ron declared.

"Understood, master." Then, this new Adrian backed away, disappearing into the night.

Ron averted his gaze back to Alex, "Now it’s ti to make my leave, sir. I’ll scout the nearby area to make sure there aren’t any misdeeds amongst your current life filled with the utmost normalcy."

Alex smiled; he was just so grateful. He felt spoiled, too spoiled at this point. A newly appointed personal guard? Count him in on all the fun.

Alex chose to remain calm and relaxed, "Oh yeah, do what you can, Ron, and please skip away the formalities. I don’t really work like that."

But as Alex opened his eyes again, Ron was already gone, back into the shadows.

’Guess that was a waste of my breath.’ Then he smirked, ’But now, the domination of the church’s hierarchy just feels so close, like we might actually be able to pull it off.’
