Chapter 892: Chapter 677: New Shadow Fragnts
Eye of Truth.
The previously shriveled eyeball now radiated dazzling brilliance, and the mark on Salam’s forehead grew increasingly vivid, as if a special connection had been forged between the two.
A ray of light shot out from the eyeball and pierced into Salam’s forehead, linking to a special space within his mind.
In an instant, the surrounding energy churned like boiling water, flooding into the connection. The once withered eyeball absorbed the energy, swelling rapidly in size.
So veins and blood vessels extended from the eyeball, then pierced into the void.
This abrupt transformation took Roger completely by surprise. According to Hillrenes, the Eye of Truth was the key to opening a specific realm.
When Roger located the correct site, he needed to draw energy in a specific manner to activate the special array engraved within the eyeball.
Yet now, he had only acted on instinct, sensing the familiar breath and then tossing the Eye of Truth.
More importantly, the man screaming before him.
Clearly, Salam had been reduced to a puppet in so twisted sense.
“What… What is happening?”
“My body… What have you done to my body?”
Roger’s expression darkened, but Salam remained oblivious, screaming frantically as his cries echoed throughout the space.
“So painful… So painful!”
The pain ca from his soul, from the depths of his consciousness—a tornt Salam could not resist. He was utterly unaware of the vast gulf in power between him and Roger.
Within monts, the eyeball, originally walnut-sized, swelled to the size of a standalone house.
As its size increased, the eyeball absorbed energy more fervently, expanding with every breath it seed to take.
Finally, it floated high in the sky, almost blocking out all light.
Crack!
Lightning streaked across the night sky.
The eyeball drew in energy, and within the black orb, eerie shadows flickered. Darkness spread across it, and the entire eyeball vanished into the night.
But in the next mont, a pupil darker than the night flashed, emitting energy that pierced straight through the heavens and earth, striking a distant mountain peak.
BOOM!
The dormant volcano seed cleaved in half. The surrounding environnt shifted drastically, and amid the cataclysmic upheaval, the earth split open with a fissure.
In the Abyss, a similarly gigantic eyeball erged, and when the two locked gazes, an intense clash erupted.
“Save , mighty…”
Thud!
A thin ray of light shot out from the eyeball, piercing straight through Salam, the imnse energy surge pressing forward until it reached Roger.
“Watch out!”
Anna shouted, a glimr of silver flashing on her forehead as a glassy surface materialized midair.
The Magic Mirror, partially repaired since their last encounter, showed so fine cracks along its edges.
Anna gritted her teeth and darted in front of Roger.
In the next instant, Roger’s figure flashed forward again, and his steady, confident voice echoed beside her.
“Don’t worry. I can handle this.”
Roger even turned back to glance at Anna briefly.
“Take care of yourself first.”
He flashed her a grin and then punched the surge of energy directly.
Without relying on any Bloodline Power, purely through physical force, Roger warded off the overwhelming energy surge without sustaining the slightest injury.
Roger frowned slightly, puzzled. Despite the apparent strength of the energy, it seed entirely anchored to this world.
In other words—
This was pure Fourth Tier power.
With that thought, Roger felt slightly reassured.
As for poor Salam, only his bare head remained, hovering in midair. Supplented by strange energy, he was in no mortal danger and even had enough vitality to shout furiously.
“Kill him! Please help kill him!”
Even though the entity behind him had just pierced through his body, Salam lacked the courage to harbor resentnt. He understood the entity’s imnse power, and his very survival depended entirely upon it.
“The eye… the eye!!”
A furious roar thundered, a single terse word brimming with complicated emotions.
“Who are you?”
“Where did you get… my eye?”
The entire space quaked violently, the Abyss expanding to envelop everyone within.
“Give it to !”
From within the Abyss, black energy instantly surged into Salam’s body. He let out a muffled groan but quickly his face lit up with sheer ecstasy.
“Power… What is this power?”
“So strong…”
Just monts ago, Salam’s body had been completely penetrated by the energy from the eyeball, leaving only his bare, floating head.
But now, muscles rapidly regenerated below his severed neck, black energy enveloped him, and he erupted in maniacal laughter. When the energy dissipated, a brand-new body erged.
Salam now stood nearly three ters tall, his entire body covered in black scales that glead with a tallic luster.
His humanoid limbs barely remained intact, yet sharp bone spikes extended from his elbows and knees. Two large lumps swelled on his back, and with a ripping sound, a pair of sticky black wings unfurled.
The scales continued to climb upwards, encasing his fragile head. Within a few breaths, Salam had transford into a monster clad in Dragonscale.
Evidently, his previous body couldn’t handle the sheer force, prompting the unknown entity to shatter and rebuild him anew.
Roger’s brow furrowed as he detected a hint of peculiar power emanating from the wings behind Salam.
