Chapter 871: Chapter 667: Disguise

“What did you find?”

Amanda didn’t rush forward. Tiny flas flickered up from her body as she surveyed the surroundings cautiously, asking with focused intensity.

Roger did not answer her question. The Mist surrounding them suddenly grew thicker, and Amanda’s vision blurred montarily. When she looked again, Roger’s figure had vanished from before her eyes.

Without hesitation, Amanda’s body shifted sideways to the left. At the sa ti, a wave of fire erupted outward from her as its center.

The flas weren’t a searing bright red but instead looked ethereal, like a cloud of white smoke. Wherever they spread, the grass and plants showed no signs of being scorched.

Soon enough, Amanda frowned deeply. Her senses confird that Roger, who originally stood in front of her, had completely disappeared.

Without shouting to expose her position, Amanda moved in small incrents while flas continuously blossod around her.

Her right hand hung slightly downward. The silver band encircling her wrist detached itself, emitting a faint glow that transford into a shield of flas, encasing her in protection.

“Bang!”

Just then, Amanda heard a violent crashing sound not far from her location, accompanied by heavy, strained breathing.

“Seems like Roger…”

Amanda’s heart tightened. But before she could act, the Mist was suddenly torn apart as a burly figure leaped out from within.

“What’s going on?”

Recognizing Roger’s face, Amanda stepped forward quickly.

“Follow !”

The man in front of her looked grim. Without giving any explanation, he grabbed Amanda’s arm.

“We’ve been attacked. It’s Muska and Manu!”

“Muska? Why would he attack us? Is it just because of the earlier conflict?” Amanda’s face showed a trace of confusion.

For Fourth Tier Transcendents, conflicts might arise between peers, but unless there was a significant interest at stake, differences rarely escalated into irreparable disputes.

“I don’t know. There’s no ti to think about it. We need to leave quickly. These two are hard to deal with!”

In the ti it took to speak, the duo’s distance had reduced to less than two ters.

“I heard the sounds of combat earlier. How are you? Are you hurt?” Amanda asked, her face full of concern.

“It’s nothing serious, just so minor injuries. But it took quite an effort to shake them off. I suspect the Mist around us is their doing. This environnt puts us at a severe disadvantage.”

Seeing the man’s disheveled appearance, Amanda subtly shifted her body, discreetly avoiding the hand extended toward her.

At that mont, the dense Mist not far away churned, as if sothing was trying to force its way through.

“Run!”

Roger shouted, his face visibly filled with worry and urgency as he reached for Amanda’s arm again.

A soft sensation spread from his palm as he grabbed Amanda and pulled her along, sprinting away at breakneck speed, instantly covering a distance of over ten ters.

But then, a strange feeling from his hand made him whip his head around sharply.

The red-haired girl stood in the distance, her face expressionless. However, the arm in his grasp wasn’t hers at all.

“Amanda, what are you doing?”

Amanda’s voice was cold and calm. “I think I warned you before, Mr. Muska.”

“Stay away from .”

“What are you talking about… Ah…” Before he could finish his sentence, “Roger’s” expression changed drastically, and he let out a muffled scream.

Flas spread from his palm to his arm, enveloping him entirely in a matter of seconds.

The air filled with the stench of burnt flesh. Within re breaths, his burly form began to transform, revealing his true appearance.

“My Illusion Technique was flawless—height, build, scent, voice—each detail perfectly replicated.”

Muska’s figure, scorched and singed, looked utterly miserable.

Clearly, the flas Amanda released weren’t ordinary. Muska’s injuries were recovering much slower than usual.

But overall, they seed to be only superficial wounds—agonizing and humiliating for him but having an almost negligible impact on his combat strength.

“If you’d launched a sneak attack on outright, I might not have been able to avoid it,” Amanda sneered coldly.

“But your mistake lies in constantly trying to get close to —or should I say, touch .”

Her face showed a hint of disgust.

“And most importantly, you’re too weak. If it were the person I knew, they would never choose to run away!”

As she spoke, Amanda suddenly leaped into the air. At the sa ti, a sharp, slicing sound ca from the ground beneath her feet, as an unseen force swept past where she had just stood.

“Is sneaking up on the only thing you know how to do?”

Amanda mocked.

Muska’s body suddenly vanished into the air. The surrounding Mist thickened, and his voice echoed from all directions.

“I inherited the bloodline of the Feathered Serpent. This is my instinct and my way of battle!”

Suddenly, a serpent’s head, the size of a car, appeared to Amanda’s left. She instinctively twitched her wrist, and flas surged upward to et it.

But the seemingly intimidating serpent’s head disintegrated in an instant. Simultaneously, a slicing sound ca from below, forcing Amanda to react swiftly.

“Boom!”

This ti, the ethereal-looking attack proved devastating. The flas before Amanda were shattered instantly, and the opponent’s strike landed directly on the spinning fla shield.

Cracks ford visibly across the shield’s surface, nearly breaking under crushing force. Amanda’s expression shifted slightly as fiery wings erged from her shoulders.
