Chapter 607: Chapter 536 I do not allow Chapter 607: Chapter 536 I do not allow Change the topic and stall for ti.

Uma was currently using the face of Tamara after her transformation, delicate and beautiful with a graceful figure, but in the end, it still was an unmistakable Western face.

Transcendents from the Eastern and Western Worlds typically operated within their own realms. As a Fourth Tier, Uma’s appearance could easily lead to misunderstandings.

And now, all Roger needed to do was to get back to Senka Higurashi’s ho as quickly as possible and then deal with the trouble, taking her and Michihiro Morita’s granddaughter away.

“Who are you talking to?”

An icy voice ca from the other end of the phone, but the next second, with a click, Roger completely lost the connection to Uma.

“That guy.”

Roger’s face grew serious. Even among Fourth Tier Transcendents, the gap between their powers could be vast. What’s more, the body Uma was controlling was under great suppression here.

If one could fight and retreat, that would be one thing, but to confront head-on and drag out ti…

Dismissing the thought, Roger imdiately headed for Senka Higurashi’s ho.

In the courtyard.

Seeing Roger depart, Senka Higurashi went down to the underground chamber.

There, Yukiko had already packed her belongings and carried all the healing dicines Senka had prepared for her.

“I hope you won’t need to use any of this.”

Senka Higurashi said with a smile.

Their expressions were relaxed, but both were well aware that the journey ahead was likely to be fraught with danger. The days of convalescence might well be the last bit of peace they had.

“Take care.”

Both spoke at the sa ti.

Senka Higurashi reached out and activated a secret compartnt, fingerprints matching, the wall slid open revealing a very narrow gap.

“If I had known earlier that this leads directly outside, maybe I would’ve sneaked out alone last night,” Yukiko said with a smile.

She knew that Senka Higurashi was actually the one who hated goodbyes the most.

In Senka Higurashi’s life, the most important person to her always disappeared after bidding farewell, never to return.

“I had to ensure your wounds were fully healed.”

Senka Higurashi walked Yukiko to the secret door.

“I can only take you this far.” She looked up, “Soone is coming from outside.”

“Alright.”

Yukiko approached nonchalantly, as if intending to give Senka Higurashi a big hug, but the latter deftly dodged.

“Don’t even think about it.”

After saying this, she left without looking back.

Yukiko shook her head helplessly, entered the secret door, and the room quickly went dark.

Just as she opened the door, Senka Higurashi saw Aoki Kazuo entering from the direction of the main gate.

“I t Roger on the way here. Is he going out?”

Aoki Kazuo made small talk.

“Mhm.” Senka Higurashi just nodded and kept silent. She was always a woman of few words, and friends were even fewer. Yukiko’s departure wouldn’t make her feel lost.

But goodbyes are always hard to feel good about for anyone.

Aoki Kazuo seed to sense sothing too.

He sat opposite Senka Higurashi and picked up a cup without invitation.

“That Red Prajna is a cunning one. It’s been a while, with not a trace to be found.”

“It’s strange. Normally monsters from Everworld don’t make trouble in the living world. Has sothing changed over there?” Aoki Kazuo mused aloud.

As he spoke, he glanced at Senka Higurashi, “By the way, how effective were the healing dicines I brought you last ti?”

He pulled out a wooden box while speaking.

The box, wide enough for three fingers, was crafted from fine Pine Rosin Wood. Although the design was plain, the surface was covered with a layer of specially made paint.

It was made from the ground shell of a Kappa, capable of providing a certain degree of sealing effect.

“The incident last ti was due to my mistake. I didn’t investigate the enemy’s strength in advance. Inside this…”

Before Aoki Kazuo could finish his sentence, a loud bang suddenly ca from the doorway.

Crackling sounds followed.

The door shattered, and a woman dressed in tight leather walked in from outside.

Aoki Kazuo’s face showed annoyance as he stood up, but when he saw the figure entering, his expression subtly changed.

“Kanako Sanjo?!”

“It’s you! What are you doing here?”

Aoki Kazuo’s voice darkened, he was usually a mild-mannered man, and such an expression was rare for him.

“I told you, Aoki Shrine is Lingyuan’s place. You’re not welco here. If you wish to stay, control your people.”

Aoki Kazuo said coldly.

“I’m not here to see you.”

Kanako’s gaze swept over Aoki Kazuo’s face and then she brazenly surveyed the surroundings.

Several figures appeared behind her.

Their auras were only slightly weaker than hers.

“Who are you?”

Senka Higurashi stepped forward, looking at Kanako Sanjo in front, “Please leave.”

Additionally, Senka pointed to the broken door.

“My door may not be worth much, but everything here was handcrafted by my father. So before you leave,”

“I think you owe an explanation.”

Senka Higurashi had an inkling of what might be happening, but she showed no signs of weakness in her deanor.

“Heh.”

Kanako laughed, a blood-red glint in her eyes, and a purple bat slowly materialized on her shoulder.

“Yukiko Morita!”

Kanako opened her mouth, and though her voice wasn’t loud, the terrifying sound waves pierced through the eardrums, the powerful voice carrying far and wide.

“You better still be here.”

“Otherwise, you’ll only see your friend at their funeral.”
