Chapter 591: Chapter 528: Smiling Face Chapter 591: Chapter 528: Smiling Face The white figure beca as light and thin as a sheet of paper in the night wind and then pierced through the darkness with extre speed.

Imdiately after, Aoki Kazuo pulled out a palm-sized paper doll from sowhere; the craftsmanship of the paper doll was quite crude, only the basic shape could be discerned, but the facial features and clothing were all a blur.

He pressed his hands together with the paper doll clasped in between; when he separated them, a greenish glow flashed by and an additional figure had appeared beside him.

Roger looked over and saw a delicate yet sowhat austere face; the woman before him was exceedingly beautiful but emitted an unreal vibe, as if she had stepped right out of a painting.

At that mont, a rumble ca from a place entwined with red light in the distance, Aoki’s expression changed, he let out a stifled grunt, and the woman standing beside him said.

“Zhi is dead.”

“That quickly?”

What Aoki had just perford must be a kind of Onmyoji Technique that could infuse specially crafted paper dolls with Spiritual Power and manipulate them to complete various tasks.

Zhi was especially fast, evidently fitting for so reconnaissance activities, but to be destroyed shortly upon approaching was enough to demonstrate the might of this Prajna.

“It’s him, and that female ghost. She went east, part of Zhi’s body is left on that woman.”

“Leave her to you!” Aoki Kazuo shouted, leaping over the railing, the woman by his side ca closer and passed under his armpit, her chest pressed against his back, hugging him.

The woman’s body beca light, aside from her head and hands which remained, the rest of her body unfolded to the sides, turning into a pair of large paper wings.

Aoki Kazuo’s body fell rapidly downward; even though it was late, the streets still had so pedestrians.

However, oddly enough, it seed as though everyone was blind to Aoki and the woman behind him.

Roger glanced at Higurashi Chika in her tight-fitting outfit; Higurashi Chika also looked back at him.

After about three seconds of silence, Roger shrugged his shoulders, spread his palms, “Don’t look at .”

“I can’t fly.”

Roger noticed a twitch by the corner of Higurashi Chika’s eye, but she quickly recovered to her normal state.

“Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

She muttered under her breath, Higurashi Chika then took out a small piece of paper, spiritual power surged from her, and she gently tapped the paper with her index finger.

A greenish glow flashed across the paper, a familiar force, clearly one Aoki had sealed within it.

“Follow !”

Before her words fell, Higurashi Chika’s body had already darted out, and above her head, the tiny piece of paper unfolded, turning into a butterfly.

The Paper Butterfly might look small, but it moved swiftly; however, since the two of them lacked the ability to fly, it took a bit of ti to get from the top of the building to the ground.

The passersby seed oblivious to the Paper Butterfly floating above Higurashi Chika’s head, while Higurashi Chika directly drove the car with Roger in tow, speeding along under the guidance of the butterfly.

The atmosphere inside the car was sowhat tense; Roger took a deep breath and still spoke up, “Uh, I’m sorry I wasn’t much help just now. To tell the truth, I am not familiar with Onmyoji Techniques…”

“It’s okay, it’s not your fault,” Higurashi Chika kept her eyes forward, “It’s because I didn’t communicate with you in advance.”

“That day at Ai Asami’s house, I saw that you could release Onmyoji Techniques without symbols in a very short ti, so I assud you could easily traverse distances by leveraging paper dolls pre-sealed with power, reaching our desired destinations.”

Roger nodded.

To be honest, when Aoki first chose such a place, Roger really thought the guy was just trying to show off.

Stand tall, see far.

Upon discovering the trace of Prajna, one could utilize the power of flight to reach the target area with incredible speed.

Simplistic in its arrangent, yet it was cunningly connected.

Moreover, that brief encounter allowed Roger to witness so of the mysteries of Onmyoji Techniques – the Cultivators of Sunrise had ways of manipulating Energy that surpassed those of Western Transcendents by innurable folds.

“We should still make it in ti!”

Higurashi Chika pressed down on the accelerator; the weather was cold and the streets quite deserted, with not much traffic, she raced along, finally stopping after reaching a certain area.

She opened the car door and followed the Paper Butterfly fluttering in midair into the residential area.

The place where Roger and she now found themselves had deviated from the city, being at the outskirts near a small hill, with rows of houses built up along the slope from the foot to the peak of the hill.

The scenery appeared pleasant, yet this area was rely where the middle and lower-class workers lived.

From a distance, Roger saw a figure drop from the treetops into a courtyard.

“She’s over there!”

The two quickened their steps.

Before they could get close, Higurashi Chika suddenly spoke up; she buzzed with energy, her Spiritual Power compressed before bursting forth.

“Ito Rieko!”

Roger stood by Higurashi Chika’s side but could barely hear the sound that she reproached with; her voice was very faint, yet it drilled directly into Ito Rieko’s ears.

The woman staggered, unable to help but clasp her head, and collapsed to the ground in agony.

With that mont of delay, the two of them had already traversed a distance of over ten ters, flipping over the wall of the courtyard.

Just then, the paper folded above Higurashi Chika’s head suddenly exploded, the shredded pieces enveloped the entire area like dust.

Higurashi Chika dashed in front of the house’s entrance.

“Ito Rieko.” She breathed steadily.
