Chapter 384: Chapter 384: Claudia’s Hope (7) Chapter 384: Chapter 384: Claudia’s Hope (7) Pugil Port, deep underground.

Abraham soaked in the pool water, having grown a bit taller than just a short while ago; his face had shed so of its childishness too.

Suddenly, his tightly closed eyes snapped open, his brows furrowed together, and a hint of confusion flashed across his face.

“Dead?!”

The water churned as Abraham stepped out, most of his body looking indistinguishable from a normal human’s.

Touching his forehead with his index finger, Abraham carefully sensed again.

“The eggs I placed in them have completely burst; this ans they and their hosts were killed together,” he muttered under his breath, drawing a bloodline across his chest with his fingertip.

The next second, the wound split open, and a black worm the thickness of a finger squeezed out.

Abraham crushed the worm, letting the stinking black fluid drip down.

The black fluid dispersed in the water, seemingly striving to coalesce into a pattern.

But gradually, the energy contained within grew weaker and weaker, until at last it failed to form the scene Abraham desired.

“I can’t even receive the last fragnt of consciousness?!”

“Who exactly killed them?”

A young face appeared in Abraham’s mind, but he imdiately shook his head.

“Impossible, that boy doesn’t have such strength.”

“Did he absorb the other remaining part of the Pale Blood?” Thinking this, Abraham clenched his fists tightly.

If it weren’t for this accident, he would have already freed himself from his constraints and started a new life in a new and powerful body.

“Could it be that those two caught the boy, discovered the secret on him, and sought to escape my control, which led to a backlash and their mutual destruction?”

Abraham pondered.

It was only now that he realized, due to the hasty escape caused by the failure of his plan, he had lost not only power but also the influence he had built up over many years.

With William and Lusfan both dead, it was as if his left and right arms had been severed. Possessing great power, yet he had no subordinates to command.

“Prepare a batch of materials for !”

Abraham thought it necessary to establish so contact with the outside world.

“Also, look into…”

“Who exactly killed those two idiots, William and Lusfan?”

The woman hiding in the corner raised her head in shock upon hearing Abraham’s words.

……

Eld, Dublin Hilltop Manor.

Claudia stripped off her broken clothes and walked into the room naked, her snow-white feet stepping on the slightly firm woolen carpet. She took a silk robe from the wardrobe and casually draped it over her body.

With a frown, Claudia felt the changes in her body and slowly lay down on the armchair.

The sunlight filtered through the glass, casting a halo over her body. At such tis, she could usually calm down quickly.

But this ti, shortly after lying down, Claudia sat up again, walked barefoot to the wall, where masks of various expressions hung.

“Click!”

The face sunk in, and the mask on it fell off automatically. Claudia waved her hand, and a new mask detached itself from the wall and snapped onto her indented cheeks automatically.

Her body also changed with the mask, her slender height shrinking slightly, yet her figure beca much fuller, the white glow of her skin taking on a wheatish hue, adding a healthy, lively aura.

“No, this isn’t right!”

“It’s not the masks!” Claudia said, frustrated, lifting her head as the mask fell off once more, changing back to the one she wore before.

A thousand faces for a thousand people; the current Claudia didn’t need masks to alter her physical features—she could do so with just a thought.

But what puzzled Claudia was the unprecedented change her body was undergoing.

It was refreshing yet vaguely unsettling.

“This feeling…”

She walked over to a full-length mirror, looking at the strikingly beautiful woman in the reflection, the slight blush on her cheeks making Claudia feel sowhat unfamiliar.

In this mont, she finally realized what that unknown energy surging within her was.

“Desire, so this is what desire is,” she thought.

She recalled the amorous entanglents she had seen in the hall. In the past, she was rely an indifferent Observer, to whom others’ desires were like food.

But the transformation happening within her made her truly experience this restless emotion.

She had always considered herself an Observer, yet she had never thought she would beco one driven by desire, one standing on the stage.

At the thought, when Claudia instinctively wanted to absorb the desire stirring within her and convert it into energy for cultivation, a face flashed in her mind, and she abruptly abandoned the idea.

“Maybe I could give it a try.”

“The true feeling of being driven by desire…”

She waved her hand and strode out of the room.

anwhile, Henrik, who had just finished cleaning up with Roger, dragged his tired body back to his room.

“How long ago was it that I t those lovely Mountain Won?” Henrik pondered while counting on his fingers.

Through the window of his room, he could see a forest near the Hilltop Manor.

“I wonder if I can call out to them in such woods, or should I go further afield to try?”

Henrik hesitated.

“Snap!”

As he was deeply engrossed in thought, the door suddenly opened, and Claudia, clad in sheer gauze, strode in.

Henrik’s eyes widened.

“Miss Claudia… I think you may have entered the wrong room,” he said.

“No mistake, I’m here to see you!” Claudia asserted.

For the first ti, her face showed a lively expression, and her eyes glimred with a familiar sparkle that Henrik recognized.

He had seen that look too many tis.

It was the harbinger of a battle.

As Claudia drew closer, a peculiar scent from her wafted into Henrik’s nostrils. He was taken aback at first but quickly identified the aroma.

“Life Essence from a Night Demon’s twin horns?”

“Does this stuff also affect won?”

He quickly pieced sothing together.

Obviously, during the fight with Lusfan, so of the Essence had inevitably ended up on Claudia, and it was this substance that had caused certain changes in her body.

“Wait a mont!”

Henrik suddenly pushed Claudia away, “Dear Claudia, I feel compelled to remind you that your current abnormal state is entirely due to…”

“I know!”

Claudia interrupted Henrik by placing her hand to his lips, inching closer with an increasingly intense aura.

“That doesn’t matter.”

“Right now, I just want to experience the feeling of surrendering to desire,” she said with a slight lift of her brows.

“What’s the matter, are you afraid?”

Henrik snorted.

“Afraid?”

“I’m just afraid you’ll get hurt!”

Before he could react, he was engulfed in her embrace, and amidst the whirlwind, he witnessed the wondrous transformation occurring in Claudia.

“Good heavens!”

“My guess was indeed correct!”

At the sa ti, Roger cursed softly downstairs as he cleaned up the aftermath.

“What the hell?!”
