Chapter 249: Chapter 249: Geralt of Rivia Chapter 249: Chapter 249: Geralt of Rivia Watching Dickinson’s figure disappear, Roger returned to the coffee shop once more, sitting alone by the window and observing the quiet and peaceful town outside.

“Foreigner…”

“Being rejected by a world, this feeling truly isn’t very wonderful.”

“It turns out there are many Otherworldly Souls in this world just like .”

According to what Dickinson said, there currently appear to be only two thods to resolve the conflict between body and soul.

The first is to rapidly increase one’s strength, and the second is to stay in Cursed Land as much as possible, utilizing the imbalance of external rules to weaken the conflict between body and soul.

Both thods have their own limitations and cannot fundantally solve the issue of conflict.

Although Dickinson said there’s no complete solution for the conflict right now, that’s only temporary; perhaps it’s just that his level and strength aren’t enough.

How could a being with power and a soul comparable to that of a deity settle in a small place like Bordeaux?

In the end, it all cos down to strength.

Rapidly accumulating strength is the only way to uncover more secrets of this world, and upon reaching a certain level of growth, many problems might just resolve themselves.

After entering the Transcendent Realm, Roger thought he could relax a bit and enjoy the blissful life of a Demon Hunter.

But who could have expected that the unexpected news he received would spur him to continue moving forward?

“It’s necessary to make contact with that so-called organization.”

Roger had his own judgnt in his heart.

Since Dickinson did not represent the Hunters Guild, and his own identity was not exposed, he could try to undertake that transcendent mission after Ingmar and the others returned from New Moon City and he learned so information about it.

He was still missing several Alchemy Materials, and he could go to New Moon City to take a look, and if he really couldn’t find them…

he would have to seek help from Dickinson and that mysterious Foreign Spirit Assembly.

Just then, the phone vibrated with a light sound; it was a call from Terry.

“Regarding the female Night Demon you asked the teacher to help investigate, we’ve got a bit of a lead.”

Terry got straight to the point.

“The teacher found a master of divination. That woman must have so sort of spell protection on her—ordinary divination can’t take effect at all.”

“Later, we tried a Gwent Card and then found a bit of a lead.”

“Through the final interpretation of the cards, we believe that the female Night Demon should be in New Moon City.”

“New Moon City?”

“Why would she go there?”

“That would be in the territory of the Hunters Guild.”

Roger said, sowhat puzzled.

“New Moon City is just our na for that mid-sized Cursed Land, but in reality, it’s much bigger than we imagine.”

“With such complicated rules in Cursed Land, honestly speaking, the Hunters Guild cannot control all of the exits, and it’s not surprising that one or two loopholes occasionally erge.”

Roger thought of the place he had discovered underwater; his face revealed a hint of understanding.

“Although New Moon City is directly controlled by the Hunters Guild, the Female Sorceress Association also holds another exit in their hands.”

“Besides… with that female Night Demon’s ability, slipping into a place shouldn’t be too difficult.”

“That’s all we can determine through divination. As for how to find her, you’ll need to figure it out yourself.”

Roger nodded his head to show he understood, exchanged a few pleasantries, and then hung up the phone.

There were still many things waiting for him to do.

Even though he had a secret passage to enter New Moon City, Roger didn’t want to use it for the ti being; he knew too little about it, and acting rashly could risk exposure.

He already had so ideas in his heart.

Perhaps he needed a new identity.

Geralt of Rivia.

Hmm… that seed like a nice choice.

Leaving the coffee shop, Roger tidied up a bit, then drove to Bordeaux, completed the remaining paynt for the house purchase, had soone clean it up briefly, and moved into his new ho in Bordeaux.

He made so simple modifications to the house to ensure it could perfectly sync up with the Hunter’s Cabin after migration.

On the first night in his new ho, Roger saw ghosts wandering around the house in his sleep.

He did nothing, and the dominoes on the table dissolved on their own, Anna ripped the uninvited guest to shreds emotionlessly.

Along with the ghost and its story, all were swallowed into her belly.

The next day he awoke to a bright sunshine, and the darkness in the room had completely vanished. Using the temporary migration feature, he arrived at the Mist Hut.

There were several monsters in the mist he hadn’t seen before, and Roger had previously killed so to hone his swordsmanship.

These were pale-skinned, extrely fast humanoid creatures that moved silently in the mist and could switch between vapor and physical form.

They were quite difficult to handle.

Mist Demons.

With the experience accumulated from his swordsmanship, his Viper Swordsmanship progressed quickly, but he hadn’t yet found a clue for the secret techniques of the other two swordsmanship styles.

Perhaps he needed to visit so true masters in swordsmanship, and in New Moon City, he might find such individuals.

After a full day of training, night fell, and Roger arrived at the Wandering Hunter Bar on ti. In his usual spot, he saw Henrik and Ingmar.

The latter looked sowhat weary, with bandages wrapped around her, and as Roger saw her, she was sitting there, gulping down strong liquor.

“How are your wounds?”

“It’s just a minor trouble, I need at least half a month of rest,” Ingmar sighed.

“I consider myself fairly lucky. Out of the ten Demon Hunters who went with us to New Moon City, four left their lives there, and the rest were all injured.”

“Such a high casualty rate?!”

Roger was sowhat surprised.

Ingmar nodded, “That place is more dangerous than we imagined. For many years, the elite hunters of the Hunters Guild have guarded it.”

“It’s hard to imagine how many people the Hunters Guild has lost in order to maintain the current stability.”

After taking a big swig of liquor, so color returned to Ingmar’s face.

“Let give you a brief rundown. It won’t be long before word of this spreads throughout Bordeaux,” she said.

“The area of the Cursed Land is vast, and from what we know, it’s nearly indistinguishable from the Bordeaux region in the real world.”

“That indicates the world synchronization is thorough, and the rules are well established.”

“During the synchronization process, the place drew from Bordeaux’s geographical environnt and historical background from over a hundred years ago.”

“Anything that surpasses that era tends to be rejected by the Cursed Land, and moreover, there actually exist self-aware humans with emotions and rationality there.”

“New Moon City truly lives up to its reputation.”

“There you might find everything that once existed in the Bordeaux area a hundred years ago.”

Upon hearing this, sothing stirred in Roger’s heart.

“Over a hundred years ago, that period seems to coincide with Anna’s family history…”

He suddenly understood sothing.
