Chapter 129: Chapter 129 The Moving Tomb

“Familiar?”

“Have you been here before?”

Moor glanced at Huda. Huda’s family had lived in Baytown for many years and should be extrely familiar with every plant and tree in the area. It wouldn’t be surprising if he had casually co across this place in the past.

However, Huda shook his head.

“I have seen a similar scene and illustrations in the notes left by my ancestors. At that ti, I only considered it a story, and I never thought it would actually exist.”

The group walked down the hillside.

The sun had set, and the woods had beco dim. Unbeknownst to them, a faint mist had begun to spread over the graveyard.

“A graveyard of such extensive area is indeed very rare in Baytown,” Huda went on to explain as he saw the confusion in Moor’s eyes.

“Bordeaux City is very different from the other cities you have visited. Geographically, the entire Bordeaux City can be considered one large swamp.”

“When driving through the city, you must have encountered sudden large pits. This is due to the unique geographical structure.”

“Therefore, for several hundred years, in order to prevent the coffins buried underground from being flooded, the locals have mostly adopted the practice of hanging coffins. They would construct family graveyards for placing the caskets.”

“Although Baytown’s geographic structure is sowhat different due to its proximity to the coast, the customs passed down over hundreds of years aren’t so easily changed overnight.”

“That’s why a graveyard covering such a large area here is considered extrely unusual.”

“Another reason is the word of mouth; people living here believe that corpses soaked in swamp water bring misfortune.”

“It can easily give rise to terrifying monsters.”

Huda did not hurry to walk down but looked around the hillside.

“A very strange place.”

“It seems to be man-made.”

A seriousness crossed Huda’s face.

“Having lived here for so long, have you really never discovered this place before?” asked Moor, with a glance at Huda. “Don’t forget why we’re here.”

Huda stopped in his tracks, “Do you think I’m being alarmist?”

“As I said, this is also my first ti seeing this graveyard. Before this, I had only read a little description and seen similar illustrations in my family’s notes.”

“This is a moving graveyard!”

“According to the records in the notes, my ancestors encountered this graveyard in Swamp Town.”

Moor paused, but she quickly grasped the implication, “In order to achieve their purpose, could soone have conducted the sa rituals in different locations?”

“Impossible.”

Huda shook her head, “The structure of a graveyard can be replicated, but that tree…”

She pointed at a large tree at the end of the valley, “It’s exactly like the one drawn in the notes!”

“We need to be careful,” she declared, her eyes intensifying, “Dispel!”

She cast another spell to prevent interference from unknown energies.

Exorcists have exceptionally strong spiritual power; moreover, their physical makeup seems to be quite different from normal people.

They are more suited to being possessed by spiritual bodies.

Because of these traits, exorcists can actively allow spiritual bodies to enter their own bodies and then use special thods to activate them, gaining the abilities of the spiritual bodies for a short ti.

There are also internal branches among exorcists. For example, Huda, who controls a spiritual body that dwells in her body for extended periods, requires special ntal fluctuations and seal gestures to awaken the spirit before using its abilities.

Peter, on the other hand, as previously demonstrated, is separate from the spiritual body in his daily life. It is only when needed that he uses ntal shocks and seal gestures to summon the spirit into his body.

Awakening Spirit and Spirit Summoning.

While they may appear similar, the two schools have embarked on entirely different paths in subsequent explorations.

Both thods have their advantages and disadvantages, and there are significant disagreents between the two factions.

The three of them cautiously observed their surroundings, but nothing happened even as they reached the bottom of the valley and approached the wooden cabin.

“Taylor, go check it out!”

Moor pointed to the cabin shrouded in darkness not far away.

“Be careful.”

After saying that, a special lody floated out from his throat.

Upon hearing this sound, Taylor twisted his neck, his thin body visibly swelling at a speed visible to the naked eye, and soon, he had transford into a muscular, strong man.

Transcendents like Taylor, created by special thods to stimulate and manufacture, have extrely poor control over their own strength.

However, the song of a Siren holds the power to bewitch and unlock potential, and through control, it could indirectly activate Taylor’s abilities.

The two complented each other’s capabilities.

“Snap!”

Taylor grabbed the doorknob and pulled hard, but oddly enough, the flimsy wooden door did not budge.

A flash of restlessness crossed his eyes, and he increased the strength in his hands, but even so, there was no change.

Moor’s gaze sharpened.

With the strength Taylor had shown, even an iron door would have been slightly deford, but the one in front of him…

Whoosh!

Just then, a faint sound of splitting air ca.

“Taylor!”

Moor shouted, and as Taylor’s body bent low and lunged forward, his hands were already clutching a pair of daggers as long as a forelimb!

In a few movents, he had reached the bushes not far behind the cabin.

But just when everyone’s attention was focused on the darkness behind the cabin, a dark shadow suddenly burst out, longsword unsheathed, piercing toward Huda, standing on the outskirts!

“Howl!”

Although Huda’s physical condition was much better than that of ordinary people, he was nevertheless advanced in age and could not react in ti; but when the dark shadow ca within two ters of Huda…

A ghostly pale skull suddenly appeared on the body of the old woman, and a sharp ntal howl spread out fiercely!

This incident happened so suddenly that both Moor and Taylor, who was further away, were affected, but the first to react was Huda.

The old woman turned around in panic, just in ti to see Roger, who had just recovered from the Evil Spirit’s Intimidation.

It was also Roger’s strong spiritual power that saved him; for an ordinary Demon Hunter, that ntal Shock would have left the person dazed for several seconds.

A few seconds at such close range, and the outco could almost be predicted.

“Is it you?”

“The kid who stayed at Adeline’s house!”

As she stepped back, she made a strange Seal Gesture, the Evil Spirit within her restless and agitated, half of its body separating from Huda’s.

“Intimidation!”

Huda growled low, and her hands swiftly made another Seal Gesture, “Bewitch!”

After all this, her aged face turned pale, and she cried out:

“Moor, co help quickly!”

Moor’s abilities also leaned toward the spiritual, and she had greater resistance to the Evil Spirit’s howling, so she quickly raised her hand, her pistol aid at Roger not far away.

But just then, he saw the Steel Sword in the young man’s hands trembling rapidly, his vision blurred, and without knowing why, he shifted the gun slightly and pulled the trigger!

“Bang!”

Blood splattered!

A large stain of blood spread from the back of Huda’s heart.

The old woman turned her head painfully, uttering a wretched scream.

“Moor, you bitch!!”
