247: Chapter 236: Secret Infiltration 247: Chapter 236: Secret Infiltration [Moon City – Federation Cold Storage]

This city, due to special reasons, cannot achieve self-sufficiency in food production.

Every month, a batch of food materials is transported from the Capital City, and so ats need to be preserved in the cold storage.

Every functioning company, school, or public organization receives food supplies periodically, while so special areas even have food transported to them daily.

This provides a large number of transportation jobs for the local residents.

Every day, one can see strong workers coming to the cold storage to move goods.

Such a stable inco is very rare in Moon City; not only does it et the basic material needs, but one can even enjoy so special pleasures in a place like Moon City.

After all, this is Moon City, and even such places involved in the city’s food supply have an unknown side.

At present,

An elderly master with a face full of horizontal flesh is leading a similarly robust youth through an internal passage in the cold storage area, heading to a lesser-known depth.

They need to pass through two rolling gates that require a password to enter along the way.

After several detours,

A cold storage room reinforced and enclosed by a black rolling gate appeared before them.

The master opened it by face recognition, and the escaping cold air faintly carried screams similar to those of living people.

The “at” stored here is wrapped in black airtight film.

They placed an entire ton of at on the cart and then headed back to the loading point.

A black refrigerated truck was parked at a loading area different from the others, a place so secluded that hardly anyone cos by.

Moreover,

Both the driver’s seat and the two n were equipped with firearms, which are banned in other cities.

After all, if Pseudo-Persons got their hands on guns, they could massacre civilians on a large scale in public.

Just as the two were finishing loading and preparing to depart,

A couple, who apparently wandered by, just happened to pass in front of the truck.

It should be noted that this place is basically on the edge of the cold storage.

Although they, the master and apprentice, had seen other transporters pass by occasionally over the years, they had never seen such a couple.

Out of caution,

They had already reached for the guns at their waists, glaring fiercely at the couple, ready to shoot at any suspicious movent.

However, the couple seed to really just be passing by and quickly disappeared around the right corner.

Since that was the case, they did not waste any more ti and both took their seats in the driver and passenger seats.

The master skillfully started the car and, out of habit, looked into the rearview mirror, only to find the couple who had clearly just passed by squatting behind the seats.

Before reaching for the guns,

The man and woman each strangled the necks of the two n, causing them to struggle futilely and pass out.

“Master, shall we not kill them?

They clearly know what kind of at this is and still choose to transport it, right?

It’s okay if you don’t want to do it yourself, I can handle such trivial matters; I can completely dismber them and throw them into different garbage recycling areas within half an hour, and no one will ever find out.

After all, I have been to this cold storage several tis, and I have all the routes and perfect corpse disposal spots in my mind.”

Luo Di did not correct this form of address.

“Find a less frequented icehouse and toss them in.

Whether they live or die is not our concern.”

“Understood, master.

You can count on my work; it won’t be discovered.”

It took Wendy less than fifteen minutes to return to the driver’s seat, and in her hand, she carried two warm, freshly made face balloons, which looked exactly like the features of the two they had just encountered.

“Master, don’t worry, I just used balloons for mold casting; I didn’t peel off their skin.

Although peeling would have been more effective, I didn’t do it without your permission.”

“That will do.”

Wearing the balloon masks, the two imdiately took on the appearance of the couple.

Even though this disguise wasn’t as good as the monitor’s, it was barely passable.

Wendy drove towards the delivery destination, a place she was once very familiar with, the place she most wanted Luo Di to know about.

The vehicle continued to the very end of Moon City, also the farthest edge from the Capital City.

If there were disturbances here, it would take even longer for support from the Capital City to arrive.

“Master, this place is known as the ‘Moon’s far side.’

Few humans are active here, and most of those residing here are Pseudo-Persons…

Look at these buildings, every window is sealed shut; who knows what vile things are happening inside.”

However, we have nothing to fear.

“No Pseudo-Person would dare attack our vehicle.”

The vehicle turned into a narrow lane, nearly brushing against the city wall as it traveled.

In front of the car window, a large building complex began to gradually appear, with distinct characters on the side of its gate.

[Orphanage]

It was an orphanage with no na, one that Luo Di couldn’t even find on the map.

It required precise location positioning and zooming in to display the building’s icon, yet still no na was listed.

Wendy, with eyes wide, began to mutter to herself, “How nostalgic, I’ve grown up here since I could rember, waiting until I turned fifteen to officially leave after the ceremony…

Just getting near this place makes my skin crawl.”

Luo Di could clearly feel the surge of emotions in Wendy’s mind through that grey matter—the emotions had reached an unprecedented peak, with various negative feelings bursting forth uncontrollably.

Whir!

A grey cover.

All negative emotions were suppressed, and Wendy’s deanor returned to normal, her face filled with apology, “I’m sorry, Master…

Night and day, I think about killing everyone in the orphanage.”

“Continue the disguise.”

“Yes.”

The vehicle made its way to the back entrance of the orphanage.

Surveillance identified the transport vehicle’s surface coating, and the heavy electronic gate opened to both sides.

The orphanage, a place with an ominous atmosphere and reeking of blood, ca fully into view, featuring Gothic-style architecture and divided into many areas, encompassing a vast expanse of land.

Wendy was obviously familiar with this place and quickly drove the refrigerated truck to the orphanage’s kitchen storage.

The storage opened.

Only a single apprentice chef ca to receive the delivery, and even this lone “apprentice” had a rather unique appearance.

Wearing a half-wrapped black tal mask, the muscular contour beneath the chef’s attire was clearly visible, and the eyes were filled with killing intent.

And from underneath the mask of this person, you could hear their heavy breathing.

There was no communication as they began to unload the goods.

Just as a whole ton of at looked to be unloaded, the elder teacher Wendy was impersonating spoke with so effort, “This piece of at seems to be frozen here, could you co and give a hand?”

The apprentice chef, visibly annoyed, jumped onto the refrigerated truck, and reached out to push the old man away.

Little did he know,

the mont his palm touched Wendy’s shoulder, he froze.

Imdiately afterward, a copious amount of blood flowed from the heart, and the body knelt to the ground.

‘Heart Piercing’

Wendy completed this action with her bare hands in an instant, there was no ti to react, and her other hand swiftly covered the man’s mouth to keep him quiet.

The next second,

a human head balloon perfectly imprinted was tossed to Luo Di, who was silently observing everything beside her.

The entire event took place inside the vehicle, out of sight from the orphanage’s caras.

Quickly,

Luo Di, disguised as the apprentice chef, jumped down from the refrigerated vehicle, pushing the cart of ingredients towards the kitchen area.

anwhile, Wendy continued to impersonate the delivery elder,

and the apprentice who had suffered the Heart Piercing was fitted with a balloon, disguised to resemble a young delivery person, taking the passenger seat.

Wendy even considerately inflated several balloons inside his body to prop it up, making it impossible for caras to distinguish whether he was dead or alive.

With that,

the refrigerated truck left with successful identification, and Luo Di entered the orphanage as an apprentice, the plan a success.

But Wendy didn’t drive straight back.

Instead, she took the refrigerated truck to a city Corner she was familiar with and then walked back to the orphanage on her own.

While Luo Di blended into the kitchen,

she used her familiarity with the orphanage to locate a gap in surveillance along the edge of the surrounding wall, quickly climbed it, and vaulted over without being captured by surveillance caras, infiltrating the premise undetected.
