Chapter 786: Chapter 774 Declaration Once Again

All the Lainino people discussed in terror.

If the purpose of this Alien Civilization coming here is indeed interstellar migration, there are only two possibilities: the first is a population explosion, an explosion to the extent that none of their planets can accommodate them!

The second is that they had encountered a catastrophe, forcing them to build Super Carriers and flee their Mother Star. Both scenarios are undoubtedly extrely dangerous.

“This must be a species that holds breeding in extrely high esteem. If we give them a Planet for nothing, they will still have a population explosion. Who knows, in a few decades, they might ask for a second one. If we give them a second Planet, they will ask for a third!”

“That’s why I firmly disagree with the concession of planets.”

“But if we don’t concede planets, what can we do? We must buy so ti; our current military strength is severely inadequate.”

Peace had lasted far too long, and it was impossible for countries to maintain large armies for an extended period, hence the current predicant. Even if they were really planning to go to war, how to explain it to the general public was another huge problem. Fighting a war isn’t just about having money; it also requires manpower.

In the mindset of the Lainino Civilization, if a civilization rely for interstellar exploration ca to such a distant place, it certainly wouldn’t make sense, even impossible. Therefore, they simply hadn’t considered other possibilities…

“Let’s do it this way, I think we should concede a planet, but we can concede the most remote one…”

“I agree too.”

The national machinery was urgently put into motion, and all the financial tycoons started to allocate funds en masse, frantically manufacturing spaceships.

But what use was this little ti? It was no different from a last-minute scramble.

So, as long as this Alien Civilization did not exterminate them, most Lainino people were willing to concede planets and feign subservience… As for what to do in a few decades, they could only take one step at a ti.

“I propose that the military forces of Lanying Country take the initiative to test the strength of this Alien force…”

“In the process of testing, we can produce a large number of military weapons… What we lack now is ti! Ten years, just ten years, and we can build an army large enough!”

The leader of Lanying Country turned his head, too lazy to bother with argunts; after all, whoever wanted to go could go—they certainly wouldn’t.

With a total of 50 military spaceships, their country’s fleet was among the better ones within their civilization, but in comparison to that mountain-sized spaceship, wouldn’t it be like an egg smashing against a rock?

As for how many spaceships could be produced in that period and whether they would have the ability to contest the Alien force, nobody knew. Because the Lainino people simply did not know the military strength of the Alien Spaceship.

This Hawkish individual was still shouting loudly: “…We should not appear too weak; this is our Planet! If we show ourselves as too weak, the other party will likely make excessive demands. Although we do not understand the Alien Civilization, from the perspective of psychology, what does it count for if we surrender from the start?”

A minority leaned Hawkish, a small fraction toward the Dove Faction, but most of the participants did not speak up, leaving it unclear what they were thinking.

Even the leader of the strongest nation on the Planet just sat with a grim face, lost in contemplation… because the military advisers recognized the Titan Level Spaceship at first sight and imdiately had an answer.

If war truly broke out, their chance of defeat was 99%, and the remaining 1% chance of success was dependent on a miracle. Therefore, they needed to drag things out; if they had a few years to prepare, and could drastically increase production capacity, then perhaps the situation would be much better.

Actually, giving such odds was still because they did not understand the technological strength of a Level 4 Civilization and had overestimated their own capabilities.

If it really ca down to a fight, for humans, the difference between a Level 1 Civilization and technology-less Natives was not significant. Just one Curvature Spaceship leading a large fleet of drones could defeat all enemy forces…

In summary, while the leader was anxious, there was also an inexplicable confidence…

This was a trendous challenge that occurred once every ten thousand or even a hundred thousand years, but with the challenge ca opportunity. As long as the ultimate outco wasn’t the extinction of their race, the global powers would face a major reshuffling!

For a civilization with such rigidly stratified social classes, this opportunity was incredibly precious! Which ambitious politician wouldn’t want to break free from capital control and gain real power?

Not just him, ard with all sorts of thoughts, all participating mbers had their own secret sches, each wanting to push other forces out as a shield.

Suddenly, a technical staff mber spoke up, “Report! The other side has responded to our ssage!”

In an instant, the arguing Lainino people all fell silent, their eyes fixed on the large screen.

“Forward the ssage here!”

“Yes!”

“Respected Lainino Civilization, greetings. To alleviate your suspicions, we hereby issue this statent: our fleet is rely passing through this Star Domain; we will not occupy your native planets nor settle here. Please rest assured. We possess three War Stars, abundant resources, and sufficient living space; we are an interstellar alliance ford by multiple civilizations.”

“As we pass by this area, we hope to investigate the ideologies and social backgrounds of lower-level interstellar civilizations and also look forward to collecting native biological specins from Life Planets. We hope to enlist your help and are willing to offer fair compensation for work…”

“If your civilization has technology that ours has not yet discovered, we can also engage in a series of exchanges. We are willing to provide adequate compensation.”

Below was a list of simple trade items, basically involving trades from Level 1 or Level 2 Civilizations, but for this Level 1 Civilization that had long seen technological stagnation, this was considered decent technology.

The Lainino people held their breath, their focus concentrated on the list.

“Primary Photon Chip production line, Second-level Civilization Technology, priced at 435,000 points. Detailed specifications as follows: Its computational capacity per second is…”

So simple paraters were introduced in the middle, but just these were enough to make these white-haired gorillas’ breathing grow heavy.

“Fully automated universal factory (primary version), Second-level Civilization Technology, priced at 590,000 points. Detailed specifications as follows…”

“Primary Power Armor Control System, priced at 440,000 points…”

“Primary nano scientific materials, priced at 600,000 points…”

“Primary Life Extension Technology (suitable for DF112 class intelligent life)”

“High Purity Gold, one ton = 500 points…”

“High-purity rhenium elent, one ton = 600 points…”

“High-purity antimatter, one kilogram = 50,000 points…”

“…”

These points, naturally, were the compensation offered to the natives for their labor. As long as they helped, they would receive a certain number of points in exchange.

Upon reading this line, all of the high-ranking Lainino individuals plunged into a long silence, their breathing even seeming to stop.

“Is this for real?” one high-ranking leader couldn’t help but blurt out skeptically at a crucial point. Then, realizing his question was foolish, he promptly shut his mouth.

“It can’t be fake if it’s real, and it can’t be real if it’s fake. If we could earn so points and exchange them for content from the scientific research, wouldn’t we then know the truth?”

“Do they really have such good intentions?”

As high-ranking leaders, having seen much darkness in the world, they naturally wouldn’t fully trust the content, yet they felt deep down that it might be reliable…

Otherwise, there’s no need for the Alien, with their overwhelming military might, to go through the trouble of creating this trade table. Even if the Alien wanted to stall for ti, they would not need to use this thod. The Alien had revealed themselves voluntarily; there was no motive to delay.

Especially upon seeing that the other party possessed three War Stars, all the Lainino people had already fallen into all sorts of wild fantasies…
