"Miss Kendall, actually this project is really..."
"Sure, let’s work together."
Frederick Whitman didn’t react at all.
Natalie Kendall agreed?
So decisively?
Once he realized it, he was overjoyed and quickly poured a full glass of wine and drank it in one go.
"Thank you, Miss Kendall!"
He never expected to secure a partnership with the Beckett Group so easily.
To think they were just a small, inconspicuous company under the Vaughn Group, nearly dismantled a few years ago.
If this collaboration with the Beckett Group goes smoothly, they would finally hold their heads high.
Thinking of this, Frederick Whitman and the other company executives grinned widely.
The result was that by the end of the dinner, each one of them was heavily intoxicated.
Isaac Vaughn hadn’t drunk much tonight, just slightly tipsy.
After returning with Natalie Kendall, he asked, "Why did you agree to collaborate with Frederick Whitman? Was it because of ?"
Natalie Kendall didn’t reply, just snuggled up to him, full of coquettishness in his arms.
A long ti passed.
She suddenly raised her head and stared into his eyes.
Isaac Vaughn felt strangely anxious, trying to hide it by kissing her eyelids, "What’s wrong?"
"Isaac, besides forgetting that my mom tried to kill , have I forgotten anything else?"
Isaac Vaughn was taken aback.
Anxiety turned into panic.
He looked at Natalie Kendall, his palms sweating.
"You, why suddenly... Did you rember sothing?"
Natalie Kendall shook her head, "So, have I really forgotten sothing else?"
"It’s not important."
After a while, Isaac Vaughn finally spoke in a hoarse voice.
He held Natalie Kendall’s face, gazing into her deer-like innocent eyes: "The past doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is now."
They locked eyes.
Natalie Kendall didn’t say anything more.
Soon after, she fell asleep.
But Isaac Vaughn watched her peaceful sleeping face, sleepless all night.
——
Natalie Kendall stayed in Rhovan for two days, then returned to Janton.
A week later, Frederick Whitman brought the project proposal to the Beckett Group.
Unexpectedly, his mission got off to a bad start.
He was stopped before he could even make it upstairs.
After all, he was a president, in Rhovan, he was almost like a star, didn’t everyone show him so respect?
But coming to Janton, it was a complete failure.
Frederick Whitman suppressed his anger and said, "I’m here to discuss a collaboration with your Chairman Kendall."
The receptionist maintained a polite smile: "I’m sorry, without an appointnt, I can’t let you go upstairs. If you really have an appointnt with our chairman, why not give them a call?"
"Fine, you’ll see!"
Frederick Whitman sneered, taking out his phone.
But as soon as he unlocked the screen, he suddenly rembered.
He didn’t have Natalie Kendall’s contact information.
Helpless, he could only call Isaac Vaughn.
Who would have thought, he called five or six tis, and Isaac Vaughn didn’t pick up.
"Uncle, what’s wrong?"
Vivienne Jordan ca over and asked.
She had co with Frederick Whitman this ti.
A business trip, and a chance to visit ho.
Frederick Whitman’s face was ugly.
Just then, the elevator not far away opened with a "ding" sound.
Natalie Kendall and Tristan Jordan ca out one after the other.
"Miss Kendall!"
Frederick Whitman was delighted, hurrying over.
But before he could reach Natalie Kendall, security stopped him.
"What are you doing, what are you doing?!" Frederick Whitman was furious.
Natalie Kendall glanced over, her eyes flickering slightly.
Tristan Jordan saw Frederick Whitman, and also saw his sister, Vivienne Jordan.
But not knowing the situation, he chose to remain silent.
Natalie Kendall walked over and asked Frederick Whitman, "President Whitman, why are you here?"
Frederick Whitman raised the project proposal in his hand, "Miss Kendall, I’m here to deliver this specifically."
Natalie Kendall didn’t take it, Tristan Jordan accepted it for her.
"Tristan?" Frederick Whitman finally noticed Tristan Jordan, very surprised, "Why are you here?"
Natalie Kendall: "You two know each other?"
Before Tristan Jordan could speak, Frederick Whitman said, "I’m his uncle."
Tristan Jordan frowned slightly.
Natalie Kendall said nothing and walked forward.
Frederick Whitman frowned, wanting to follow and say more, but was stopped by Tristan Jordan.
"We’ll contact you if there are any results."
"Tristan, are you working with Miss Kendall now?"
"Yes, I’m her assistant."
"That’s great!" Frederick Whitman was delighted, pointing to the proposal in his hand: "Then you must help your uncle."
Tristan Jordan neither agreed nor refused, only calmly said, "You should go back first."
With that, he turned and quickened his pace to follow Natalie Kendall, exchanging a glance with Vivienne Jordan in passing, aning see you at ho.
——
The Jordan family.
Vivienne Jordan was eating the small yellow fish fried by Mrs. Jordan herself, golden and crispy.
Hearing movent at the front door, she ran out of the kitchen.
"Brother."
Tristan Jordan nodded, loosening his tie.
Vivienne Jordan complained: "Brother, what’s going on? Why didn’t you tell you’re working at the Beckett Group? Aren’t you a doctor anymore? Didn’t you love being a doctor?"
Tristan Jordan removed his tie, sat on the sofa, and rubbed his temples.
Vivienne Jordan scooted over, sitting next to him, "You’re assisting Natalie Kendall, does she have sothing going on?"
Tristan Jordan was resting his eyes but opened them to look at her upon hearing this, "Why do you ask?"
Vivienne Jordan shrugged, "Just a few days ago, I ran into her in Rhovan, and she acted like she didn’t know . We clearly t before."
Tristan Jordan’s eyes flickered slightly.
"Oh, uncle asked to tell you to help facilitate his collaboration with the Beckett Group. Since you’re now Natalie Kendall’s assistant, your word surely holds weight."
"Whether the collaboration succeeds depends on multiple factors."
Vivienne Jordan pursed her lips.
After dinner, Tristan Jordan returned to his room.
Mrs. Jordan cut so fruit and asked Vivienne to bring it up to her brother.
Vivienne Jordan took the fruit platter to her brother’s room, knocked and entered, not seeing her brother, but hearing the water in the bathroom, likely taking a shower.
She put down the fruit platter and was about to leave when she noticed so docunts on the desk. The na "Natalie Kendall" instantly caught her eye.
Unable to resist, she picked up the docunts and began to read, her brows furrowing tighter as she read.
The water stopped.
Tristan Jordan walked out drying his hair.
When he looked up and saw his sister in his room, and then noticed she was looking at his things, his gaze turned sharp, his voice stern: "What are you doing!"
Vivienne Jordan looked up, "This, what is this?"
Tristan Jordan took a big stride forward, yanking the papers from her hand, his voice cold: "Who allowed you to look through things that aren’t yours?"
"I..." Vivienne Jordan licked her dry lips and asked her brother, "Is what’s written on this true? Natalie Kendall has traumatic amnesia?"
No wonder she didn’t recognize her.
Tristan Jordan stuffed the docunts back into the drawer, gazing at Vivienne with cool authority: "You’re not to reveal anything you saw, not a single word, understood?"
Vivienne Jordan bit her lip.
"Is that thing also true?"
"Vivienne Jordan!"
"Isaac Vaughn has an agreent with Natalie Kendall’s grandfather, and he’s not really with her for real reasons..."
"Vivienne, Jordan!"
