A black car ca to a stop, and soone pushed the door open and got out.
At that mont, Isaac Vaughn held his breath and didn’t blink an eye.
But the person who got out wasn’t Natalie Kendall.
Lucas Lowell approached with a smile and punched the person on the shoulder, "Brother, you’re late."
The two started chatting.
Isaac Vaughn withdrew his gaze and silently entered the hotel.
After he left, Lucas Lowell glanced back at the hotel door to confirm there was no sign of him anymore, and let out a breath of relief.
His friend hooked an arm around his shoulder, "Wow, bro, you ca out to personally greet . I’m touched, really."
"Get out of here." Lucas Lowell punched him again, "You think you’re that important that I’d personally greet you?"
"What do you an? You didn’t co to pick up?"
"Just go in by yourself." Lucas Lowell disdainfully pushed his friend, urging him to hurry up and go inside.
Just then, another taxi pulled up.
Lucas Lowell’s eyes lit up, and he went to greet it.
The car door opened, and Natalie Kendall, dressed in a white suit, got out.
Seeing Lucas Lowell, she offered a gentle smile.
Lucas Lowell warmly hugged her shoulder. "Finally, you’re back."
Natalie Kendall lightly tapped his back, "Congratulations."
"Co on, my wife and kids are upstairs."
"Alright."
Natalie Kendall followed Lucas Lowell into the hotel.
While taking the elevator upstairs, Lucas Lowell told Natalie Kendall that Isaac Vaughn had also co.
Over the past six months, he had collaborated with Isaac Vaughn three tis, all very pleasant experiences, and their relationship had indeed improved sowhat.
Natalie Kendall nodded nonchalantly, indicating she knew.
Lucas Lowell said, "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everything’s arranged. If you don’t want to see him, you won’t. The mistake at the wedding won’t happen again."
Natalie Kendall smiled briefly.
The mont she saw the little princess, Natalie Kendall was utterly chard.
Compared to before, the little princess had grown quite a lot, a pure delight.
No wonder Lucas Lowell treasures her like a jewel, afraid she’ll drop if held in his hand, or lt if kept in his mouth, cherishing her as if she’s his eyelids.
Natalie Kendall washed her hands before gently touching the little princess’s tiny hand.
After playing with the child for a while, she handed gifts to Lucas Lowell and Mia, and then prepared to leave.
"You’re leaving already? Not staying a bit longer?"
"I’m staying for about a week this ti. We’ll find ti to et later. Today is the baby’s hundredth-day banquet, you have enough to keep busy."
Natalie Kendall was right.
Lucas Lowell escorted her to the elevator.
At the elevator, Natalie Kendall said, "I’ll go down by myself. You should go back."
"No rush, I’ll watch until you get in the elevator."
Natalie Kendall watched the elevator coming up from below and chatted with Lucas Lowell for a bit more.
With a "ding," the elevator door opened.
But both the elevator in front of Natalie Kendall and the one next to it opened simultaneously.
She nodded with a smile at Lucas Lowell, "I’m off."
Then stepped into the elevator.
At the sa mont, a tall figure stepped out from the next elevator.
Lucas Lowell was startled when he saw Isaac Vaughn co out of the other elevator, imdiately stepping aside to block his view.
"President Vaughn, are you here to see the child?"
Lucas Lowell said as he stepped forward to hook Isaac Vaughn by the shoulder, enthusiastically leading the way, "This way."
Isaac Vaughn glanced at the elevator door behind Lucas Lowell, which was now closed and heading downward, and he was a bit dazed.
He wasn’t sure if he was just imagining it.
Just as the elevator door opened, at the mont he was about to step out, he seed to hear Natalie Kendall’s voice.
It was this mont of distraction that made him slow to step out and miss seeing who went down in that elevator.
"Did she... not co?"
As Lucas Lowell led him towards the room where Mia and the child were, Isaac Vaughn asked.
"Who?" Lucas Lowell’s gaze flickered as he feigned ignorance, "Who are you asking about?"
