From the start, the boss monsters and the local custors’ purpose was to drive the challengers into one spot and eliminate them all, not to fight or hunt the challengers one by one.

How insidious!

If the monsters knew what Leinster was thinking, they would have spat out a mouthful of blood.

That’s a slander! This is just an event triggered by specific conditions, okay?

If you guys want to clear the Ruin, it is bound to happen!

Unfortunately, the monsters couldn’t talk and the smarter ones didn’t bother to talk to these ant-like challengers.

That’s how the survivors were gathered at one place with four boss monsters creeping in from four directions, plus their prospective armies and the entire mall’s local custors.

Leinster could only see a sea of monsters of all kinds and had long lost counts of how many monsters there were.

It’s over. Without a large-scale AOE skill, they would never make it out alive!

Hyo Eun saw Leinster and the scythe guy in the crowd and she imdiately left the boss monster behind, quickly standing next to the two people, her face equally grave.

"The boss monster is difficult to kill. It’s as if it’s not designed to be killed by challengers."

Even the level four elevator monster wasn’t as difficult as these boss monsters who commanded tons of other monsters.

Seeing the ghost mother’s sudden appearance and the two ghost babies floating around her, Leinster almost jumped three feet high, but he quickly bit his lips and smiled stiffly.

"Yeah. Does anyone have a bomb or sothing? At least create a path so that we can escape."

They didn’t even know whether they had gathered enough "dragon balls" to summon the guardian spirit and kill it!

Hyo Eun looked at the other challengers who were deathly silent and shook her head.

"I don’t know. At least the veterans I’m familiar with don’t have any explosion-related abilities."

Whose obsession was to make things explode? Oh, usually, middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Hearing this, the surrounding challengers clenched their fists tightly, their faces full of despair.

They also don’t have explosion-relayed skills!

Damn it. All of them would be wiped out!

Just when the challengers felt that the boss monsters were already a few ters away from their places...

The entire supermarket suddenly shook hard!

Ggrrrkkkk—

The ceiling shook, dust fell from the ceiling, raining down the challengers and monsters.

"Ah!"

The challengers fell to the floor, shelves crashed and hit the challengers.

So shelves even smashed the level two monsters to death and injured countless level two challengers.

"Ugh! What the hell?"

"Ahhh! My leg! Soone help ! My leg is under the shelf!"

Groans and moans of pain echoed throughout the area and many challengers’ oil lamps died on the spot, plunging more places into the darkness.

Amidst the chaos, a dim crimson light suddenly flashed right at the fresh at section—

Inside a huge refrigerator.

The light attracted the attention of all the challengers, including the monsters.

The monsters who were growling and about to pounce on the injured challengers paused on the spot, their bodies trembling from head to toe.

Then, the level two monsters quickly kneeled and kowtowed in the direction of the red light!

Hundreds of monsters suddenly kneeled and fervently smashed their heads to the floor, roaring one after another.

"Grrrrr!"

"Raaaaa!"

"Pyakkkk!"

"Ciiii!"

The whole scene suddenly beca so bizarre that the challengers montarily forgot their pain, only staring at the crimson light blankly.

Only Leinster furrowed his eyebrows and twitched his ears.

Did he hear it right? The monsters just said—

—Guardian! Guardian!

—Guardian...is...here!

—Welco...back...guardian...

—Guardian...guardian....

Leinster almost doubted his hearing.

What’s that crimson light had to do with the guardian?

They had not even collected all the "dragon balls".

They still lacked a few bones!

But the crimson light grew brighter and brighter, bypassing the refrigerator’s closed door and slowly creating a path so narrow that only one person could go through.

The red beam of light slowly grew longer and longer, until it touched the monsters closest to the light.

The mont the crimson light touched the level two monster, the monster’s skin instantly lted and evaporated on the spot.

"Graaaaa!!"

The monster roared in pain, but its eyes were looking at the crimson light with feverish gazes, so intense that it could drill a hole in a tal.

"Graaaa— "

Until the monster completely turned into ashes, the monster only cried out in excitent, its voice echoing in Leinster’s ears.

—I’m...chosen! Noble...sacrifice...

Leinster, who had never seen such cult-like behaviour, got goosebumps all over his arms.

The hell? What kind of idiot would be happy to die for a re crimson of light?

The monsters in his hotown were all full of pride.

Even the weakest one like him would never submit to other monsters or follow other monsters around like slaves.

The monsters here...they must have been brainwashed!

The light touched more and more monsters, but the other monsters outside of the range looked at this scene with envy, without even an ounce of fear.

Their envy was so strong that for the first ti ever, Leinster sensed other emotions from them except for malice!

Aside from envy, a strong feeling of awe and devotion rushed out of every single monster, so sweet that Leinster’s face turned pale with fright.

Ughhh! It’s so cloyingly sweet!!

But these emotions fell into the category of love, the rarest emotions among his many unlocked emo gauges.

The little alien happily sucked all the emotions in the air and quickly filled up his Love Gauge back to 300.

Nice!

With that, he bought the Angel’s Kiss Skill, and while the monsters were distracted, he secretly healed the poor boy— Sealed Demon King.

The boy’s wound rapidly closed, leaving only the flesh injury without showing the bones.

But just when Leinster had finished healing the boy, the crimson light suddenly shone in his direction and his danger alarm instantly erupted, like a thunderclap in daylight.

DODGE!
