Chapter 92: Birthday Gift
"My birthday?" Lin Qin was startled by ng Chao’s reminder, suddenly rembering that his lunar birthday was on the 25th day of the twelfth lunar month.
But it had been such a long ti since he celebrated his birthday. Ever since his parents divorced and got caught up in their own lives, no one had rembered his birthday. It had been so long that he himself forgot about it completely.
The surprising thing was that ng Chao actually knew he celebrated his lunar birthday instead of his solar birthday. After all, most official docunts only listed solar birthdays.
Seeing Lin Qin’s shock written all over his face, ng Chao felt a pang of sadness. He gently ruffled the younger man’s hair and promised, "From now on, I’ll celebrate your birthday with you every year."
Lin Qin nodded enthusiastically, "Alright, we’ll celebrate together."
[From now on, we’ll also celebrate Lin Xiaotu’s birthday every year!]
[Lin Xiaotu and ng Chao will always, always, always be together!!]
[Lin Xiaotu and ng Chao will always, always, always be together!!]
The comnt section was instantly flooded with colorful ssages of love, the fans’ most heartfelt wishes for Lin Qin and ng Chao.
Though Lin Qin and ng Chao couldn’t see the comnts, they seed to feel the blessings from their fans. Both turned to the cara and said, "Thank you."
"I prepared a birthday gift for you. Want to see it?" ng Chao said, holding Lin Qin’s hand as they walked toward the living room.
Lin Qin’s eyes went wide, curiosity plainly written in them.
On the table in the living room sat a gift box. No one knew when it had been placed there. The box wasn’t very large—about the thickness of two books—and was beautifully wrapped.
The comnts were spamming with calls for a proposal, and the caraman caught on imdiately, focusing on the gift box for a close-up shot.
"What’s inside?" Lin Qin asked eagerly.
Still maintaining an air of mystery, ng Chao said, "If you want to know, open it yourself."
Lin Qin couldn’t hold back his excitent. His hands trembled as he began untying the ribbon. He was so nervous that he almost didn’t have the strength to pull it apart.
With shaky hands, he opened the bow and lifted the lid of the box. The gift he was so excited about finally revealed itself.
Inside the box lay two books, lying quietly. The title was simple: "The Book of Lin Qin and ng Chao."
Lin Qin had thought it might be a ring, or perhaps sothing else he liked, but he never imagined it would be two books like this.
"The Book of Lin Qin and ng Chao." From the title alone, it was clear that this was a book ant just for them.
Lin Qin reached out and carefully took out one of the books, handling it like a precious treasure. As he flipped open the first page, he realized it was a personal biography of himself with ng Chao’s annotations interwoven.
He had only ever thought of this project as an idea, never expecting that ng Chao would have it all completed. Lin Qin even noticed a publication number on the cover, aning the book was officially publishable.
Lin Qin was filled with surprise and joy. When ng Chao had first suggested publishing a book combining Lin Qin’s biography and ng Chao’s annotations, Lin Qin had been excitedly anticipating the project.
He’d planned to revisit the idea during the Lunar New Year to prepare it with ng Chao, but he hadn’t expected to receive it as such an incredible birthday gift.
Though it wasn’t an engagent ring, this book carried just as much significance for the heart.
"The Book of Lin Qin and ng Chao." Lin Qin absolutely loved the title.
ng Chao sat down beside Lin Qin and said, "After the New Year, this book will be officially published. From now on, our nas will be forever intertwined through this book."
Lin Qin felt his eyes grow moist. Hugging the book, he looked up and shared a kiss with ng Chao.
Tears finally spilled from his eyes, mingling as their lips and tongues entwined. Tears weren’t supposed to taste sweet, but Lin Qin found them to be indescribably sweet, as if every drop reached into his heart and soul. He felt as if he were floating on clouds, light and euphoric.
[So romantic!! Why is ng so unbelievably romantic?]
[Lin Xiaotu is so blessed. I’m genuinely envious.]
[When will I et soone who understands this well, soone who can prepare surprises like this for ?]
[Waaah, it’s so sweet, but why do I want to cry?]
[My mom just asked why I’m kneeling to eat this dog food.]
[Doesn’t anyone want to know when "The Book of Lin Qin and ng Chao" will be released? I want to buy it! Will it include their love story? Ahhh, my inner fangirl can’t hold back any longer—release it already!!!]
[Please, release ’The Book of Lin Qin and ng Chao’ soon! I can’t wait!]
The comnts were abuzz, both moved by Lin Qin and ng Chao’s love story and eagerly anticipating the release of their book.
After a frenzy of comnts, viewers were disappointed to realize over two hours of the live stream had already passed.
The live stream was only scheduled for three hours, aning it was nearing its end.

The Spring Festival Gala was playing on TV, a festive sea of red with vibrant singing and dancing. ng Chao sat with the Chu Family, smiling warmly as he faced their tests.
