The aura of the five settled down and they opened their eyes. Now that they had passed the threshold, the world of Faust had reduced its suppression on them for having stats that were far beyond their stage. because even though they have Grandmaster level stats, they could even use Adept level spells.Â
All spells and tricks they had used in that previous battle were at the Interdiate stage maximum, yet they still managed to clinch victory!Â
So how the hell did they manage to win? The lads did not know, and truthfully Darius didn't either.Â
You seriously didn't think he had expected a bunch of 5 Journeyman with Grandmaster level stats who had only been seriously training for around 2 years to beat 100 Grandmasters each whose life had to be counted in centuries and millennia, did you?Â
It was as ludicrous as an 11th reincarnator appearing on Faust and being able to not only outsmart but also overco Darius despite the latter reaching his current ans.Â
No, according to his calculations they should have been able to persevere the first five days, only to lose out the second half, after having shown their hands. Their deaths should have been a natural conclusion to their fights, though given his supply of Lunar Dew resurrecting them would not have posed any problem.Â
… and yet the seemingly impossible had happed, so Darius naturally would not go back on his words. With slight anticipation, he waited for them to wake up and state their newly unlocked elent, after they had unanimously chosen the Material elent last ti around.Â
"Master, I chose the Wind elent this ti." Ash revealed with a bashful smile.Â
"Master, I chose the Darkness elent." Reina revealed respectfully.Â
"Master, I chose the Earth elent for myself." Johnathan spoke with clenched fists.Â
"Master, I chose the Light elent." Jas revealed with a creepy grin.Â
"Master Darius, I decided to claim the Psychic elent." Anthony revealed with a casual smile.Â
Darius listened to them all and nodded, a tiny smile around the edges of his lips. "Explain to the reason for your choices."Â
Ash began. "I chose the Wind elent because, during my battles, I realized that it would synchronize with my Sword Energy very well, allowing to cast it out farther and faster than any other elent, even the Lightning elent."Â
Darius raised a finger and fired a gust of wind at Ash, which the lad quickly dispersed using his own newly acquired elent. "Not bad, it should serve you well."Â
Reina then took the floor. "I chose the Darkness elent because I need its ability to weaken targets and bind them. Not to ntion that it can help cloak when I am trying to snipe a target."Â
Darius snapped and sent a spike of darkness towards Reina which she countered hastily using a wall of darkness. "Suitable, the reason makes sense since you already have the Wood elent."Â
Jonathan beat his chest bravely. "I took the Earth elent because I fell in love with Gunner's battle style. I don't want to just be an explosive fighter who deals damage, but also an immovable wall that cannot be breached."Â
Darius humd and dropped a block of earth from the roof onto Jonathan's head, which the lad calmly caught after coating his arm in Earth Energy.Â
"Great choice, the best so far. It will balance you out nicely."Â
Jas was next. "I chose the Light elent solely because I want to understand my nesis. It is the antithesis of everything I am and want to be, so if I am to survive against it and its users, I must know its ins and outs intimately."Â
Darius fired a beam of light which Jas allowed to strike his body, before he slowly healed himself using the Light elent. "Your dedication to understanding your weakness is admirable. You even went so far as to receive my strike head-on to asure the damage it can deal. You have my blessing."Â
All eyes turned to the last and most significant, Anthony. He calmly spoke his reasons as well. "I decided to take the Psychic elent despite already possessing so psychic abilities because it is the pathway to not only discover the truth of how the mind affects the world, but how it affects itself."Â
Darius' eyes narrowed as he released a wave of psychic power to strike Anthony, which manifested as a purplish-blue light that was blocked by a psion barrier that Anthony erected calmly.Â
"Excellent, I hereby permit you to use whatever materials you require to conduct your research. It will be up to you whether you wish to share your findings with or keep them to yourself."Â
Anthony was touched by this, but he never had any intentions of keeping secrets from his master, he was not an ungrateful fellow. He knew that Darius didn't care since he and his various resources could likely find the answer faster than Anthony, but it was the gesture that counted.Â
Done with their elents, Darius decided to check their upgraded stats.Â
