Chapter 201: Chapter 201 : Flower Demons’ Lair (2)

Against Xie Jianyu’s expectation, Zhang Fengxi did not show any reluctance at all.

"Let’s go back to report our findings to the Golden Dragon Palace then," Zhang Fengxi said decisively.

Xie Jianyu stared at Zhang Fengxi in disbelief.

"Wait. Zhang Fengxi, did you hear

correctly?"

Either that, or he, Xie Jianyu, was the one who heard wrong.

"I heard you loud and clear," Zhang Fengxi smiled while caressing Xie Jianyu’s cheek. "And I fully agree."

Xie Jianyu grabbed Zhang Fengxi’s wrist when the latter removed Xiao Huang from Wangshu’s back.

"Wait. Why?"

"Why what?"

"You..."

Xie Jianyu squeezed Zhang Fengxi’s wrist.

"You love him," he choked the sentence out, getting rid of the ball of thorn that was lodged in his throat for a long ti. "I know that he is the love of your life, so why..."

Zhang Fengxi reversed their position in one swift motion. With one arm circling the oga’s waist and the other arm pressing the latter’s body in his chest, Zhang Fengxi held Xie Jianyu in a tight embrace.

"Jianbao, have you ever lost the love of your life...?" Zhang Fengxi asked.

"..."

Xie Jianyu did not have any answer for him. After all, the one he loved was still dwelling among the living, his body warm against his, his heart beating steadily against his own.

"I did, twice."

Once in his past life.

And then another in this life, during the Three Realm Spear’s trial.

Two tis he held the dying Xie Jianyu in his arms.

Two tis he heard the man drew and released his last breath.

Two tis he heard his na spilling out from the oga’s blood-sared lips.

The first ti it happened, he was too consud by vengeance to even mourn for Xie Jianyu’s passing.

The second ti it happened, it broke him.

He ca to realize that he could not afford to lose Xie Jianyu.

Many months later, he realized sothing else.

He could not live without Xie Jianyu.

Zhang Fengxi pressed a chaste kiss against Xie Jianyu’s forehead. Hidden behind its delicate nature were all the sorrowful emotions that Zhang Fengxi felt in two lifetis.

It was not sothing that Xie Jianyu could understand on a whim. He might even think that Zhang Fengxi was struck by a Nightmare Curse.

"I don’t want to lose you for a third ti, Jianbao," Zhang Fengxi whispered. "This ti, you are not leaving

behind."

"..."

Xie Jianyu grew stiff in Zhang Fengxi’s embrace.

Lose him?

What?

Who left whom behind?

And were they not just talking about the love of Zhang Fengxi’s life?

How did Zhang Fengxi end up talking about him?

Did Zhang Fengxi just...?

No.

No, no. Impossible.

Zhang Fengxi could not possibly refer to him when he talked about the love of his life just now.

Xie Jianyu drove away all the wishful thinking with full determination. Maybe Zhang Fengxi inhaled too much of the air in Ghost Island that he started hallucinating. Either way, this was not the right ti to succumb to fantasies.

"We need to go," Xie Jianyu thus said hastily, completely disregarding Zhang Fengxi’s words. "If we don’t go now, Liu Wenyuan is going to die."

The alpha was stunned by Xie Jianyu’s answer, but Xie Jianyu’s red face and flustered behavior told him that the Crown Prince heard him just fine.

The alpha smiled to himself in resignation.

He proclaid his love to Liu Wenyuan many tis in front of Xie Jianyu in the past. It would take more than just one sentence to convince the Crown Prince of his love.

He himself needed a long ti to realize his feelings.

"Your wish is my command, Your Majesty," Zhang Fengxi replied cheerfully. "I shall accompany you wherever you want to go."

Xie Jianyu gave him an annoyed look.

He was sad when Zhang Fengxi did not care about him, but at the sa ti he felt uncomfortable when Zhang Fengxi was especially caring.

It scared him.

One did not yearn for kindness when one never tasted kindness. The one who gave it might just do it out of pure generosity. The one who received it, though, might take it too seriously.

Xie Jianyu was afraid of being greedy.

He did not want to expect more, because he knew that he was just going to be disappointed.

Sullenly, Xie Jianyu climbed on Wangshu’s back and pulled at his reins.

"Let’s go," he said curtly before riding off.

"Rawr!"

Xiao Huang transford into his regular size and nudged his owner to quickly climb on. He did not want to lose the unannounced race against Wangshu.

Zhang Fengxi chuckled to himself. He swung himself upward and chased after Xie Jianyu.

"Jianbao, wait for ...!!!"

Willow Village, the village closest to the Enchanted Forest, closed their tall and sturdy gates after dusk. It was done both to prevent the Flower Demons from sneaking into the village and also the villagers from sneaking out due to the demons’ temptation.

This of course made the Flower Demons extrely unhappy. Worse even, news already spread about them in the surrounding area, so that even wanderers knew not to get too close to their lair!

"Aaaah," a beautiful demoness in bright purple silk pouted while lying on a sturdy tree branch, high above the ground. "I haven’t had any man since... a week," she complained.

"Aiyah, Rongrong, stop complaining. Eldest Sister already said that we should stop being lazy and find n instead of expecting n to co to us."

Rongrong, the first Flower Demon, smacked against the tree trunk unhappily.

"Seriously, Xiangxiang, what is the use of being a pretty demoness if I still have to go and find n??? Ck, n these days have it so easy!"

"Sssshhh!!! I hear sothing!"

Rongrong shut up right away. Both Flower Demons strained their pointy ears to listen to any sound at all.

Sure enough, Xiangxiang did not hear wrong. There was the sound of one animal... no, two animals approaching. Not so wild animals but mounts.

Rongrong and Xiangxiang exchanged delighted smiles in anticipation of a great al.
