"Hahaha!"

"Excellent. Truly excellent!"

"To encounter a warrior like you... this is my fortune!"

Verethragna slowly rose from the ground.

There was no anger on his face.

Instead, a wild, unrestrained grin spread across his features, filled with pure exhilaration.

There was a saying.

Seeing once was better than hearing a hundred tis.

Before today, Verethragna had judged Shirou Emiya's strength purely from the pressure of his presence. His aura alone had marked him as dangerous. But without a true exchange, there had always been uncertainty.

Now, that uncertainty was gone.

Shirou Emiya's reactions.

His movents.

His composure in the middle of divine combat.

All of it told the sa story.

The young man before him was a warrior forged in slaughter, one who had crawled out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood. This was not a warrior shaped by this peaceful era.

At that realization, Verethragna felt genuine interest.

Where had he co from?

What kind of battlefield had created him?

Those thoughts surfaced-

And were imdiately interrupted.

Lightning tore down from the sky.

Verethragna twisted aside at the last mont, narrowly avoiding the descending strike. His body rose into the air as he looked upward with a hint of irritation.

"Do not disturb my enjoynt, King of Gods!"

"Hmph."

kal's voice thundered in response.

"You are truly infuriating."

"Weren't you the one who unilaterally declared war earlier?" kal continued coldly. "And now you complain that I interfere?"

"Simply detestable."

Annoyed beyond tolerance, kal shifted his focus completely.

He no longer spared Shirou Emiya even a glance.

His entire killing intent locked onto Verethragna.

"Pursue. Banish."

kal's divine words echoed through the storm.

"Pursuers, beco the weapons of my fangs."

"Chase the God of War of the East."

"Let him witness my wrath."

As his authority manifested, two massive cudgels shot into the sky.

Pursuer.

Banisher.

They tore through the clouds, chasing Verethragna relentlessly.

At the sight of them, Verethragna's expression finally changed.

Without hesitation, his form shifted.

Flas erupted as he transford into a phoenix, his body blazing as he streaked across the sky at full speed. He did not dare face those two cudgels head-on.

He knew them too well.

Pursuer and Banisher were divine artifacts bestowed by the God of Craftsn, Kothar-wa-Khasis.

Back when kal was still known as Baal, he had used these very weapons to lure the Dragon King Yam from his throne.

And then kill him.

It was through that victory that kal had ascended to the position of King of Gods.

As an existence standing alongside Zeus and Odin, kal's divine weapons were no less terrifying. Though not as widely known, their power rivaled Zeus's lightning and Odin's Gungnir, the Spear of Eternity.

Their lethality was unquestionable.

In the original tiline, Godou Kusanagi, newly awakened as a Campione, had been struck down by these two weapons the mont he encountered kal.

If not for his Ram incarnation, which possessed resurrection abilities, his story would have ended there.

...

Under kal's focused assault, Verethragna was instantly forced into a perilous situation.

Storms raged.

Lightning crashed endlessly from the sky.

But those were not the true threat.

Hidden within the tempest were Pursuer and Banisher.

Those two divine artifacts were not rely blunt instrunts of destruction. They possessed authority over storms and lightning themselves.

They could perfectly conceal their presence.

Waiting.

Patiently.

For a single opening.

"What a cunning King of Gods," Verethragna muttered.

With ten incarnations, Verethragna also possessed control over powerful winds and lightning. Though his mastery did not match kal, the sovereign of the sky, he was still capable of resisting.

For now.

"Then let cut them down."

Verethragna extended his hand.

A golden longsword ford instantly in his grasp, its blade radiating divine brilliance.

"Pursuer and Banisher," Verethragna declared, his divine words echoing across the battlefield.

"They are weapons gifted to you by the God of Craftsn, Kothar-wa-Khasis."

"As Baal, you used them to lure the Dragon King Yam from his throne."

"You slew him."

"And through that conquest, you ascended as King of Gods."

As his authority responded, golden orbs began appearing around Verethragna.

One.

Two.

Dozens.

They hovered briefly, then transford.

Each orb reshaped itself into a golden sword.

And then-

They shot forward.

Dozens of blades streaked through the storm, aid directly at Pursuer and Banisher.

"You hateful golden stench!"

kal roared in fury.

No god could remain calm in the face of weapons capable of severing divinity itself. The re presence of those golden swords was an insult to his existence.

At that mont, kal abandoned all restraint.

Shirou Emiya was completely ignored.

His entire attention focused on Verethragna.

Because if even one of those swords struck true, he would be the first to fall in this three-way battle.

For a King of Gods, that outco was unacceptable.

The battlefield descended into chaos.

Around Verethragna, hurricanes scread.

Rain poured in sheets.

Lightning shattered the sky repeatedly.

Divine authority collided head-on.

"Now's my chance."

Shirou Emiya had already formulated his strategy against the Heretic Gods.

But in a three-way battle like this, every side restrained the others. There had been no opening for him to act.

Until now.

With Verethragna and kal locked in a fight to the death, that opening finally appeared.

"Trace on."

Shirou Emiya spoke quietly.

Instantly, magical energy surged through his body. Reinforcent spells activated one after another, stacking continuously.

Every ounce of his focus went into a single purpose.

Projection.

Not just replication.

But surpassing the original.

"The Noble Phantasm I project..." Shirou Emiya thought calmly, "...has already exceeded its original form."

A blood-red spear appeared in his hand.

Its surface glead ominously, the tip radiating a chilling light that pierced the night.

"O spear that overturns causality," Shirou Emiya murmured.

"Let the great God of War witness your power."

As reinforcent magic surged, the weapon began to change.

The spear's form elongated.

Compressed.

Refined.

Until it transford completely.

A blood-red arrow.

Its tip burned with a deep crimson glow.

Shirou Emiya raised the Rimuru Bow.

He nocked the arrow.

Drew the string taut.

The mont the string reached its limit, blood-red magical energy erupted, dyeing the surrounding night in scarlet.

Killing intent blood.

Pure.

Unmistakable.

"That-!"

A violent chill raced through Verethragna's body.

His instincts scread.

Every divine sense he possessed focused downward.

And in that instant, he understood.

The nature of the attack.

"The weapon of Cú Chulainn," Verethragna muttered, his eyes widening slightly.

"The Child of Light of Ireland."

"A demonic spear that overturns causality."

His gaze sharpened.

"The target..."

"My heart?"

"Impossible."

Realizing the danger, Verethragna abandoned his clash with kal without hesitation. He intended to strike first, to descend and kill Shirou Emiya before the attack could be released.

But he was too late.

From within the storm, Pursuer and Banisher burst forth.

They slamd toward him rcilessly.

"Never."

kal's will was clear.

At this mont, their interests aligned.

Verethragna had to fall first.

After that, kal would personally deal with the blasphemous madman on the ground.

"Damn it!"

Caught in the relentless assault, Verethragna was completely restrained.

He could not advance.

On the ground, Shirou Emiya had already completed his preparation.

The bowstring trembled.

"Yield your heart."

Shirou Emiya's voice rang out, steady and resolute.

"Gae Bolg."

The string was released.

The blood-red arrow shot into the sky.

Straight toward Verethragna's heart.
