----------------------------------------------------------

This was the world of Campione.

So then, what exactly was a Campione?

A Campione was a King. One who wielded Authority stolen from the gods they had slain, ruling over the mortals of the earth through that power.

A Campione was an Overlord. One who had personally killed the gods of the heavens and seized the supre divine authorities that only gods were ant to possess.

A Campione was a Demon Lord. Because among all mortals living in this world, none possessed the power to contend with them.

And that-

Was a Campione.

"To actually end up in the world of Campione... that's honestly worrying."

Despite the words, not a trace of worry appeared on Shirou Emiya's face.

What surfaced instead was pure joy.

Genuine joy.

Shirou Emiya was overjoyed from the bottom of his heart.

He was extrely familiar with the world of Campione. In his previous life, when he had been soone who devoured fanfiction without restraint, Campione had been a frequent guest in countless crossover stories. He knew this world well. Too well.

After all, the thod of gaining power here was absurdly simple.

Defeat a Heretic God.

Beco a Campione.

And in doing so, obtain power on par with a god.

That power was known as Authority.

Authority was not a re enhancent. It was a power that allowed a complete transformation.

"This is a world where I can undergo a full tamorphosis."

With his hands tucked into his pockets, Shirou Emiya walked calmly down the street. His expression was relaxed, casual, no different from an ordinary passerby.

But beneath that exterior, his heart was anything but calm.

It churned.

The existence of Authority was simply too tempting.

If he were honest with himself, Shirou Emiya did not believe that the Campione world was necessarily stronger than the DanMachi world in terms of overall combat power and world-level strength.

At first glance, the DanMachi world seed weaker. Its gods were sealed, unable to exercise their full authority, which gave the illusion that their combat power was unimpressive.

But that was an illusion.

A complete misunderstanding.

The gods of DanMachi were undoubtedly terrifying existences. If they were ever released from their restraints, their full power would be more than sufficient to cleanse the surface of the earth entirely.

That fact alone spoke volus.

There was also sothing else.

When the gods in DanMachi bestowed titles upon LV.2 adventurers, they often handed out nas that were excessively chuunibyou. Titles so embarrassing that even the patron deities themselves struggled to endure them. So were so awkward that rely hearing them caused secondhand embarrassnt.

Yet many adventurers loved those titles.

They embraced them proudly.

That alone proved sothing important.

The worlds that the gods observed were clearly not limited to the DanMachi world alone. Perhaps the DanMachi world was rely the place of their birth.

If that was the case-

Then the status of those gods skyrocketed instantly.

Good heavens.

Were those seemingly useless gods actually multiversal-level beings?

When comparing DanMachi adventurers to Campiones, Shirou Emiya did not believe that Campiones would always co out on top.

If Authority was set aside, the physical bodies of Campiones-despite being capable of battling gods-were only comparable to steel.

Only steel.

And that was where things beca interesting.

Even before reaching LV.6, Shirou Emiya's muscles had already reached the level of steel. Now, they were even harder.

In the DanMachi world, weapons were not optional.

They were vital.

Without high-grade weapons, adventurers could not even cut through the skin of high-level monsters, let alone penetrate their muscles. Power alone was not enough.

But Authority changed everything.

With Authority, the advantages that DanMachi adventurers relied on beca much harder to maintain.

And that-

Was the true terror of Authority.

After making a brief comparison, Shirou Emiya ca to a quiet conclusion.

Adventurers were very similar to the Steel Heroes of this world.

Both were beings with overwhelmingly powerful physical bodies.

"A powerful physique combined with powerful Authorities..."

That image ford clearly in his mind.

"...will make even stronger."

This was not just growth.

It was evolution.

A superior evolution.

"This is a stronger transformation than ever before."

"It's the ultimate transformation."

As the thought settled, Shirou Emiya's lips curved upward slightly.

His objective in this world had already been decided.

He would slay a god.

He would beco a Campione.

...

"I'm back."

Carrying several bags in his hands, Shirou Emiya returned to his residence in this world.

"Welco back, Lord Shirou."

The mont he opened the door, Shuna was there, standing neatly as if she had been waiting the entire ti.

"Here."

Shirou Emiya handed over the bags.

"These are clothes I bought for you two. Want to try them on?"

Shuna had already prepared clothes before, but those were based purely on descriptions provided by Shirou Emiya and Rimuru.

That alone made the results obvious.

Both of them had been otaku-level beings before their transformations. Rembering detailed designs of won's clothing had never been their strong point.

So this ti, Shirou Emiya had taken the initiative.

On his way back, he had purchased so characteristic clothing from this world to give Shuna better references. After all, clothes made by Shuna were far more suitable for them than anything produced by ordinary craftsn.

"Yes. Thank you very much, Lord Shirou."

Shuna accepted the bags, glancing at them a few tis before asking naturally,

"Lord Shirou, have you obtained any information about this world?"

"Of course."

Leading Shuna inside, Shirou Emiya walked toward the living room. Little Rimuru was sitting there, focused on the computer.

He gently rubbed her head.

Then he smiled.

"This world is very interesting."

"I'm extrely satisfied."

"As long as you're satisfied."

As his secretary, Shuna understood Shirou Emiya well. She knew he was constantly pursuing strength and seeking further self-improvent.

Seeing him this pleased with the world, she smiled as well.

"Then what should we do next, Lord Shirou?"

"What should we do?"

Shirou Emiya's lips curved upward again.

"Naturally, we prepare to leave."

"Our next destination is Italy."

"There, we'll face the most difficult battle."

His target had already been chosen.

The Heretic God Verethragna.

The sa god who would later be slain by Godou Kusanagi.

The reason for choosing him was simple.

Among all the Heretic Gods in this world, Verethragna's whereabouts were the easiest to pinpoint. All he needed to do was wait on Sardinia Island in Italy.

Many Heretic Gods existed in the world of Campione. But most had yet to appear, while others had mysterious movents that made them extrely difficult to track down.

Although Shirou Emiya possessed Super Intuition, information still mattered.

And when it ca to information, he knew far more about Verethragna than any other target.

In battle, gathering intelligence was essential.

As for the fact that Verethragna was originally the god slain by the protagonist-

Shirou Emiya did not care.

He was not that pedantic.

Even though he chose Verethragna as his prey, he had no intention of stealing the Protheus Stone Slabs or replicating the protagonist's path to becoming a Campione.

That was not his style.

He would invite the god to battle openly.

Then he would defeat him.

And plunder his Authority.

That-

Was Shirou Emiya's way of battle.
