The mont that figure appeared, just its presence caused physical and ntal suppression on everyone. Or almost—because Darian wasn't affected in the slightest.

Taking advantage of the blue demon freezing up, he casually waved his hand, and the two giant skeletons were sucked into his inventory without the slightest effort.

"Fuck…"

Near Darian, Niara grunted as she stared at the newcor. Her scalp went numb; she had never felt suppression at that level in her entire life.

"Hahaha, patiently wait for your deaths!" the red demon laughed excitedly, even after seeing Darian steal the skeletons. He was completely confident it would be impossible for Darian to escape while carrying those things.

In truth, out of the five altars, four were fake. They only really needed one to summon him. When the other altars were destroyed, all the energy flowed into a single one, making the summoning even faster and more efficient.

This was a safety trap prepared in case sothing went wrong. It was obvious the Spiritual Sovereigns' planning had been extrely ticulous. They hadn't underestimated Darian or left anything to chance, and they always kept contingency plans.

"Please, Immortal Celestial Heze. In the na of the debt to my race, please grant one of our wishes." Suddenly, the older Alv, who commanded the place, spoke in a respectful tone.

At that instant, Darian's eyes changed.

The sea-blue eyes of the figure gently turned toward the Alv. He didn't radiate an overwhelming or imposing aura. Even so, everyone felt completely dominated by his presence.

Then, those calm eyes shifted abruptly.

A flash of fury appeared. With that, the entire environnt changed, as if the world had turned gray and somber.

Niara swallowed hard when she recognized it. It felt like a Demonic Beast, but at the sa ti, it wasn't… and it also resembled a Primordial Beast, like a Dragon. It was confusing, and she couldn't make sense of it.

"You really used my treasure to create pills of this level?" The figure's words made the Alvs feel like they were suffocating.

"M-my lord… this… the Spiritual Sovereign had no choice. This Darian is too sinister and poses a huge threat. We were forced to use the Artifact's energy to create the pills."

The Alv spoke in a trembling voice, nearly desperate. It was clear they were talking about the terrifying pills the Alvs had swallowed.

"I made it clear that the essence could only be used on Demonic Beasts. I agreed to hand it over as a symbol of goodwill because you promised to use it to build good karma with certain races that possess fiend atavism. That was thousands of years ago. If you had done that, you would have countless extrely powerful allies by now. But you betrayed your word and chose to hoard everything for yourselves, using it in this ridiculous and suicidal way."

He spoke slowly, but each word made the Alvs more and more terrified.

"M-my lord… please forgive us…"

At that mont, Darian rembered sothing very old Caliris had once told him about the Alvs' past in that universe.

In one of the very first Rank S missions the Alvs participated in, they once had to save a young half-Leviathan who was struggling to deal with an immortal enemy that had appeared in his universe.

The Spiritual Guardians had to help him defeat the immortal by dealing with his powerful army. In the end, the young Leviathan barely won and was left gravely injured. His wounds were so severe that everyone thought he wouldn't survive. But…

After his victory, that entire universe froze, and an unbelievable figure appeared softly. It was the father of that young Leviathan, an Immortal Celestial.

He had been watching his son, but didn't help him win the battle, since everything that happened was the boy's own fault. Once his son had won, he wouldn't let him die, so he intervened.

As thanks to the Alv Spiritual Guardians, the Immortal Celestial gave them two things. One of them was a Supre Artifact of an unimaginable level, but with very specific uses. The Immortal Celestial himself made them promise they would only use it for certain purposes.

As for the second thing… no one knew exactly what it was.

Caliris had said that the story was ancient and that she had never seen this Supre Artifact of the Alvs. So there was no way to know what had been promised, or even whether the story was real. Maybe the Alvs had exaggerated and spread it on purpose.

Now… Darian knew it was all real. And the second thing was, in fact, a favor from that figure. That was the Alvs' secret weapon of preservation. They could summon this entity and ask for his help in any situation.

"Immortal Celestial Heze! Please, we will discuss our punishnt for using your treasure later. In the na of my race, we promise we will give you an answer regarding that. But now…" The Alv spoke very seriously, then turned his gaze toward Darian.

"Please fulfill the favor you owe us. We need you to capture this human nad Darian and deliver him to the Spiritual Sovereign."

The figure let out a dry snort, still clearly displeased. Even so, his fluctuations were obvious. He was soone who kept his word.

As he slowly turned toward the target, his eyes changed. He noticed that Darian had the protection of Heaven's Will and was a missionary.

A glint appeared in Darian's gaze.

"Sir Heze, correct?"

"That's my na. You are Darian, correct?" he replied smoothly.

Darian smiled brightly. Then he turned to Niara and spoke slowly:

"It's a pleasure to et soone so important, who helped save the entire world in the last war. I'm a disciple of Lady ru. This is my wife here, and a disciple of Lady Yinou."

At that instant, the figure narrowed his eyes.

Heze was a na Darian rembered reading in a book. He was the son of a Heavenly Leviathan.

That term was equivalent to the Chaos Dragon. Primordial Beasts existed in every universe and, as a result, there were thousands of the sa species. For example, Dragons, who were present in practically every high-level universe.

But there were huge differences in power among Primordial Beasts of the sa species. In the past, the Queen, who ruled over the entire world and all living beings, made absurd changes to the laws of the world, sacrificing countless things to create the most powerful Beasts of all.

Everyone who erged in that era was a species that had been selected and nurtured to be unique, and that would naturally never appear again. Because of that, they adopted specific titles to differentiate themselves from others of the sa species.

The Chaos Dragon and the Heavenly Leviathan were examples of that.

As for Heze, he was a figure the current Heaven's Will had t in the past, when he was still very young. It recruited him into its group. In the end, he fought by its side in the Great War. In other words, he was an old acquaintance of ru and Yinou.

Heze stared at Darian and Niara.

Just knowing the nas of those two won was already almost impossible. As for Darian, he couldn't see anything clearly, so he focused on the Dragoness. It only took a single second for him to notice the cores within her and her entire anomaly. That was sothing impossible to be created by mortals. Right away, he had his confirmation.

Seeing the silence and the shift in the air, Alv's expression changed completely.

He had never imagined things would turn out like this. Did that terrifying lifeform really know the people Darian had ntioned? A bad feeling crept over him.

"Lord! My race summoned you, and we are counting on your promise! You must not go back on your word now, karma will affect you!" Alv spoke very seriously.

They had so knowledge and knew that the world's karma was extrely important to figures at this level. So his words were a clear, veiled threat.

At that mont, Heze let out a sigh.

"My words will never be taken back. You helped my son, and I will fulfill my promise," he said, still staring at Darian.

His eyes carried a freezing pressure. At that mont, Niara's eyes widened, feeling that he would truly capture Darian.

Out of pure reflex, she activated the Immortal Chaos Essence, trying to open a channel back to her universe. But…

"!"

The figure made a simple gesture with his hand. With that single motion, all the power within Niara was completely sealed. Her eyes widened in terror; there was absolutely no chance to resist.

"There's no way around it, promise is a promise. Sorry for being a little rude," Heze said calmly. Then the world around Darian changed.
