Gaddol coughed up three mouthfuls of blood. The attack had almost torn him apart, and his internal injuries were extrely severe. But he could still heal them with so ti.
This ti, his defeat was absolute. There was nothing he could say against it. Looking at Darian, he took a deep breath and declared, "I lost."
Darian nodded, "Not bad. You actually admitted defeat instead of trying to make excuses or curse out. You can still be considered a man."
The others didn’t feel anything special hearing that. But Gaddol felt a chill. Just now, he really *had* been thinking about cursing Darian or coming up with an excuse, provoking the Tribe’s anger so he could use it as a reason to kill Darian.
However, when he saw Darian’s calm face, he felt a little scared, so he simply admitted defeat obediently.
"If you were the Tribe leader, the entire Tribe would be influenced by your attitude and start seeing everyone else as inferior. If you were actually skilled, that’d be different — you could subdue every power around you to satisfy your desires. Maybe then you really could lead the Tribe to so montary glory... but the karma that would bring would drag everyone to total destruction one day. Unfortunately or not, you’ll never beco soone truly capable, because you don’t understand what defines a powerful person," Darian said lightly.
No one said anything, not even the elders. Only Darian’s words kept echoing.
Gaddol beca furious hearing Darian say he would never beco soone powerful, but quickly suppressed his rage.
"Thulon, co here." Darian gestured with his hand.
Thulon hurried over. He looked at Darian with reverence. In his eyes, Darian was like a god.
"Close your eyes," Darian said.
Even though he didn’t know what Darian intended to do, Thulon obeyed and closed his eyes.
Darian pressed his finger to Thulon’s forehead. With his other hand, he held a small Artifact specialized in generating ntal power.
Thulon’s body stiffened imdiately, becoming completely motionless.
"What?! Darian, how dare you kill him!" Everyone saw that Thulon’s vital aura had completely disappeared. Only the dead lack that in their bodies.
When everyone was about to attack Darian with everything they had, the Tribe leader shouted, "Shut up! Just watch, Thulon is fine."
Only then did everyone stop, still confused.
Even though the Tribe leader didn’t know exactly what Darian was doing, he felt certain Darian wouldn’t be that stupid. Not even an idiot would kill a Tribe mber right there in their holand.
Darian’s actions scared Thulya and Lutecia, but they both believed Darian wouldn’t harm Thulon.
Thulon remained motionless. Darian’s gaze swept through the Tribe mbers until it stopped on the elders.
"Maybe you guys don’t want to accept what I said earlier. So I’ll show you, in practice, what soone truly powerful needs."
As his senses swept through Thulon’s body, Darian felt the youth’s earth-heart — the core of a Golem’s life. At that mont, he was sure: Thulon’s earth-heart was special. But it was like a raw diamond that needed to be cut properly.
Darian didn’t hesitate anymore and used the ntal power of the artifact, invading Thulon’s ntal sea.
He was going to use a ntal technique he had read years ago. He studied it carefully because he found it interesting and useful; since he had total control over life energies, he could use it easily as long as he had an external power source.
Darian looked at everyone again. "Even though I feel like a bit of a fraud doing this, I still advise you to watch closely."
After saying that, Darian released Thulon’s three life energies again. They began circulating slowly, but he still looked like he was in a strange state.
"Dark clouds cover the sky. A storm of rain falls. Millions of invaders are flooding into the Tribe, with blood-stained blades in their hands..." Darian’s soft voice echoed in his ears.
Thulon’s face twisted, and his heart trembled. As Darian spoke, he was transported into a scene. The Tribe was covered by black clouds, pouring a torrent of rain. He could feel a cutting cold. He saw countless fierce invaders grinning sinisterly as they advanced toward him.
In the real world, everyone was stunned. Around Thulon, they saw a terrifying ntal power spiraling in a hypnotic way. Just looking at it made their own minds grow hazy.
"What ntal power..." one of the elders muttered, not knowing whether to be afraid or surprised.
Everyone realized Darian was using a hypnosis technique on Thulon. He was living an illusion so real it had to be indistinguishable from reality.
Darian’s voice continued softly: "The enemies are too fierce and strong. We can’t stop their rciless slaughter. We can only watch as the Tribe mbers fall one by one..."
Thulon’s body began to tremble. Terror and fury overtook him.
"The elders have fallen. The forr Tribe leader has also been killed. Sister Lutecia... also died protecting everyone. Aunt Thulina wielded a saber to shield you. Her blood still stains her clothes red. Her eyes are filled with longing..."
"NO!"
Thulon let out a heart-piercing scream. Blood ran from his mouth because he’d clenched his teeth too hard.
The Tribe leader and the white-eyed elder finally nodded, recognizing exactly what thod Darian was using.
"I’ll kill them all!" Thulon roared. His veins bulged, his face twisted, and blood dripped from his fists.
His gums were cracked from clenching so hard, but he didn’t notice. His whole body trembled, unable to move. It was as if he was trapped in a nightmare.
"Kill? What will you use to kill them? The enemies are so strong that not even the Elders could stop them. You think you alone can stop them? You’re nothing but an ant before those invaders. You don’t have even the slightest ability to resist..." Darian’s words echoed like a decree from hell.
The illusion was unbelievably realistic. As Darian spoke, scene after scene unfolded in Thulon’s mind, intensifying his emotions.
"Blood stains the ground, and corpses lie everywhere. Your eyes are filled with unwillingness. The only ones left are you and Thulya. She’s badly injured and lying on the ground. She looks at you with worry..." Darian’s soft voice echoed through the area.
"Don’t co here!"
Thulon suddenly shouted. His arms spread out. From his posture, it looked like he was shielding Thulya, who was behind him.
"You’re trying your hardest, but you’re still too weak. You can’t defeat your enemies. You can only watch as those evil invaders get closer and closer to your beloved Thulya..." When he saw Thulon move, Darian’s eyes lit up. His voice beca even softer.
Thulon twisted around wildly, flailing his arms in the air as if he were fighting enemies, "You can’t hurt her!"
"Do you want to get stronger?" Darian’s voice suddenly changed. Now he sounded holy, divine, and absolutely unquestionable.
"I want to get stronger! I want to kill all of them!" Thulon kept swinging his arms frantically.
"There’s a treasure inside your earth-heart. If you open it, you’ll instantly get stronger, strong enough to kill all those powerful enemies, strong enough to protect Thulya," Darian said pragmatically.
"I can’t open it. I’ve tried for so many years, but still couldn’t. It’s impossible! What should I do?!" Thulon yelled, his voice full of pain and panic.
Darian sighed and turned to look at the Tribe Leader and the elders. All of them felt their faces burn.
Over the past years, they’d always pressured Thulon to beco stronger. As a result, that created a heart demon inside him, and he no longer had any hope of unleashing his full talent.
They were filled with regret. They hated themselves for being so rigid and conservative. If they had tried the thod Darian was using, creating a critical scenario so he could ascend... maybe Thulon would’ve awakened his power long ago.
When they realized Thulon had fully given up, they felt an uncontrollable desire to crawl into a hole. It was their fault. They should’ve prioritized his ntal well-being and guided him at his own pace.
Darian snorted, "You couldn’t do it before, but that doesn’t an you can’t do it now. Hurry, Thulya’s life is in your hands..."
An urgent tone appeared in Darian’s voice. He needed to test if the repressed energy inside Thulon could be released.
"I’ll save her!" Thulon roared. He tried to connect to his earth-heart. But after several failed attempts, his aura started becoming chaotic.
Noticing that, Darian suddenly changed his tone, "Thulon, I’m Darian."
"Big Brother Darian, save !" Thulon cald down when he heard his voice. His chaotic aura began stabilizing bit by bit, and the signs of collapse disappeared.
"I can’t help you. The only person who can help you is yourself," Darian said emotionlessly.
"But..."
"There’s no ’but’. Do you trust ?" Darian asked.
"Yes."
"Good. Listen carefully. There’s a huge power inside your earth-heart. It’s heavily locked right now and can’t be opened. But with so many enemies in front of you, you need to open it. This is the only way to protect Thulya. The thods you tried before were wrong. Now I’ll teach you the right thod."
Darian didn’t open his mouth. He sent the ssage directly into Thulon’s mind.
This whole ti, he’d analyzed Thulon’s earth-heart and noticed it only needed a subtle push.
The elders were bewildered.
"Big Bro Darian, it’s working!" Thulon said, ecstatic.
When Thulon tried sothing almost random inside his mind, Darian shifted a bit of the three life energies into the earth-heart, opening it. But only he knew that.
"Very good, Thulon. You’ve already condensed one hundred percent of your energy. But to activate your potential, you need to condense two hundred percent," Darian said.
Two hundred percent? How was that even possible? Everyone was dumbfounded.
"If you don’t know where that energy cos from, look at Thulya behind you. She’s watching you with worry but also encouragent. She’s not worried about her own life, but about yours. Are you really willing to let her fall into the hands of your enemies?!"
Darian’s voice grew increasingly firm.
"You can unleash your greatest power when you’re protecting the people you love. Show your fangs. Let out your roar. What are you waiting for? Burst with your power!"
"!"
Thulon’s eyes suddenly shot open. They shone with an intense erald glow, as bright as a beacon.
"This... this is the Blessing of the Golem God!" The Tribe Leader suddenly stood up, trembling.
**BUZZ!**
The world began trembling, and the earth under their feet pulsed with a powerful light. Grass and nature began sprouting and growing rapidly before their eyes.
Every mber of the Tribe, except the Leader, knelt down on the ground in awe.
’Blessing of the Golem God? So that was it... I rember the Golem God created an absurd technique in that book. Looks like so Golems can use it properly, others can’t.’ Darian thought, understanding.
Seeing Thulon stabilize, Darian murmured softly, "Your enemies have been annihilated. You can sleep. When you wake up, everything will be in the past and feel like a dream. When you awaken, everything will be normal. You’ll see that everyone in the Tribe is alive. Aunt Thulina and Thulya are beside you. Everyone is taking care of you..."
Thulon’s furious aura cald down, and he slowly closed his eyes.
With a quick, almost desperate step, Thulya ran to him and grabbed him in her arms, hugging him tightly.
