"Adrian Blackwood. Please step forward."
I stepped forward until I was standing beside her, acutely aware of the sudden change in classroom atmosphere. The casual conversations died down as my classmates turned their attention toward with obvious curiosity.
"Please perform your strongest strike. Don’t hold back, I want to see your true capabilities," Sylvia instructed, her tone professional despite whatever preconceptions she might have held about my character.
Although Sylvia clearly had a poor impression of based on the original Adrian’s reputation, that didn’t prevent her from doing her job as an educator and genuinely working to help improve.
This was one of the traits that made respect her as a person in my previous life. She helped all the students she could and made sure they achieved the highest possible achievent.
I nodded my head in acknowledgnt at her words.
Naturally, I was going to perform a genuinely powerful strike. While I wasn’t planning to reveal my absolute strongest techniques, I decided to significantly surpass Marcus Ironhold and the other students in the class.
I couldn’t allow my previous reputation as a lovesick simp to continue defining how others saw . That would be terrible for my new plans inside the academy.
Even now, I could hear my classmates whispering to each other about how I was likely going to embarrass myself in spectacular fashion.
"This should be entertaining," one murmured quietly.
"I heard he never trained seriously before coming here," another noble added with an equally low whisper.
"Probably going to swing the sword like he’s chopping wood," a third voice chid in.
Of course, they were speaking incredibly quietly, and the only reason I could hear them was due to my enhanced vampire senses. Otherwise, their conversations would have been completely inaudible.
I took a deep breath and selected one of the training swords from the available rack. Students weren’t permitted to use personal magical weapons in the training room, this policy ensured that variables remained controlled and that improvent ca from enhanced skill, technique, or personal power rather than superior equipnt. It was also for the safety of the equipnt in the training room.
I gripped the standard blade and settled into a proper combat stance, drawing upon both my recent training with my father and the knowledge I gained from the Sky’s Secret Sword Art.
The knowledge of the {Null Strike} form had improved my overall my swordsmanship too. It wasn’t just knowledge of that specific stance, but also positioning, footwork and various other things.
Then, activating my {Blood Control} trait, I accelerated my blood flow, pushing my physical capabilities beyond the normal enhancent provided by my {Supernatural Physique} trait.
The sensation was incredible and familiar, I felt my power grow exponentially as my enhanced circulation supercharged every muscle fibber in my body.
From the corner of my eye, I caught the look of genuine bewildernt spreading across Sylvia’s face.
She was clearly shocked by my sudden power increase. Being a Commander Rank awakener herself, she was naturally extrely sensitive to mana fluctuations and could definitely sense my physical enhancent, though she couldn’t determine the exact chanism behind it. She most likely assud it was so kind of temporary buff trait that I possessed.
The whispers from my classmates had completely stopped as I prepared to strike.
I took a single step forward and burst toward the training dummy with explosive speed, closing the distance in a fraction of a second before delivering a devastating sword strike.
I deliberately avoided activating my {Null Strike} technique, keeping that as a hidden trump card for situations that truly demanded it. Even without revealing one of my most powerful ability, I knew my current attack would overwhelm the majority of the other students in my class, if not all of them.
The training sword connected with the dummy’s reinforced surface with a thunderous impact that echoed throughout the entire training hall.
After the strike landed, numbers began appearing on the magical display screen that asured impact force and damage potential.
The highest score before my attempt had been 6,000 points, achieved by Marcus Ironhold with his Earth Bear bloodline.
I stared at the screen as the numbers continued climbing higher and higher before finally settling on a final result.
[9,242]
The mont that number appeared, shocked murmurs erupted from my classmates like an explosion of disbelief.
"His attack power... it’s over 9,000!" one student exclaid, his voice cracking with amazent.
"That’s impossible," another whispered, staring at the display as if it might be malfunctioning.
"How did Adrian Blackwood, of all people, achieve that kind of power? Even when he dashed towards the dummy, I barely saw a blur." a third voice added, clearly struggling to reconcile this demonstration with my previous reputation.
Expressions of pure shock painted across every face in the room, including Elen’s. Her blue eyes were wide with surprise as she processed what she’d just witnessed.
Marcus Ironhold, whose previous score I had demolished, was staring at with a mixture of respect and wariness. His Earth Bear bloodline was renowned for physical power, but he specialized more in defense than offense.
He didn’t seem overly concerned about my attack power since tanking was his specialty, but there was definitely newfound respect in his gaze.
The aura radiating from my combat state was clearly affecting everyone present. My classmates instinctively took small steps backward, their bodies responding to the killing intent I had unconsciously released during my attack. I imdiately retracted it and cursed inwardly.
The events from yesterday seed to have affected more than I’d realized. I needed to be more careful about controlling my predatory instincts.
Even students who had been dismissive or mocking monts before were now looking at with cautious respect. The social dynamics of the classroom had shifted dramatically in the span of a single demonstration.
Sylvia herself appeared to be revaluating everything she thought she knew about my power and potential. Her striking blue eyes studied with interest and curiosity.
