Chen Guizhi intended for them to get the marriage certificate before they left.

For Liao Hong, this was the most unexpected joy.

His eyes sparkled as he looked at Shen Yixiang.

Truth be told, he had liked her for quite so ti but, due to his own background and status, he hadn’t dared to aim too high.

Shen Yixiang had gone to the south to study for over a year and had greatly strengthened her professional skills, along with her natural talent and hard work; now, she could hold her own in the factory.

Many people in the factory knew that Shen Yixiang was "royal relatives," the younger aunt of one of the bosses.

It wasn’t until Shen Yixiang gave him so hints that he caught on. They hadn’t been courting for long, and now suddenly, blessed by a hint from his future mother-in-law, happiness couldn’t co too quickly!

Shen Erniu looked over after Shen Yixiang said those words, not agreeing with her, "There’s no rush, we can discuss it when we get back."

Chen Guizhi then said, "If we co back, it will be too late. These two going out together are not yet husband and wife; if others find out, there will be gossip. I think it’s more proper to get the certificate first, then leave."

Shen Yixiang imdiately nodded in agreent, "Okay then, we’ll first get the certificate and host the banquet when we co back."

Everyone looked at her sowhat surprised; she was so forthright.

Yang PeiMin also felt it was too quick. If after getting married they found they were incompatible, the regret would be great. But this was a matter for the two of them. Shen Yixiang was no longer a child and had been in society for so ti. So long as she had thought it through, he would not say anything.

And so, the two of them quickly obtained their marriage certificate, although they would wait until their return from Beijing to consummate the marriage.

No matter what, the new house still needed to be arranged. Shen Yixiang felt that first and foremost, they needed to have a house of their own; only then would the marriage feel right.

This was sothing they would need to discuss among themselves, whether the money for buying a house would co from one of them or both together.

Another bustling discussion ensued.

By evening, Shen Yiyue also ca over, with a partner in tow as well. These two sisters were really sothing, such an incredible coincidence couldn’t be planned.

Fanfan, the little rumor monger, hurried to find Yang PeiMin first, "Mommy, mommy, my aunt Yiyue is coming over again with a guest. Is there soone’s birthday today?"

Yang PeiMin smiled and patted his head, "No, but today is a happy day."

With that, she took her son and stepped out into the hall.

Indeed, they saw an unfamiliar man.

After graduating, Shen Yiyue stayed in her hotown’s urban area to beco a teacher. The man she brought was also a colleague who had started working a few years before her, now twenty-seven years old. He hadn’t found the right person before, which had delayed his search for a partner.

Nowadays, many people got married before 25, so people like them were really not that common.

Shen Yixiang’s partner seed quite refined and elegant, always with a gentle smile on his lips. When speaking to people, he would capture their gaze intently, unlike the type that Shen Yixiang had chosen.

Shen Yiyue whispered to Yang PeiMin, "This is the guy I told you about before. He has been pursuing for a long ti and helped with many things behind the scenes. He’s quite impressive, knowing how to ’moisten things silently, like boiling a frog in warm water’..."

Yang PeiMin nodded with a smile, fully agreeing.

"It’s amazing how you sisters do it, not looking at all, and then bringing soone ho on the sa day, making mom and dad so happy."

Regarding their plans to visit the capital for the parade review, Chen Guizhi brought up the subject she had ntioned to Shen Yixiang, but this ti Shen Yiyue shook her head, "These days, dating and courtship are all out in the open. It’s normal to go out and have fun together; who would be so idle as to ask if you’re legally married?" As long as they don’t sleep together, that’s fine—of course, Shen Yiyue didn’t say that last part out loud.

Yang PeiMin couldn’t agree more.

The dinner nu was sumptuous, prepared together by Yang PeiMin and her sister-in-law Shen Yiyue.

"Speaking of which," Yang PeiMin remarked, "it’s been quite a while since the three of us sister-in-laws cooked together. It reminds of when you first ca into the family."

"Ti flies so fast," Shen Yiyue mused. "In the blink of an eye, we’re all discussing marriage and weddings."

Yang PeiMin teased with a laugh, "It sounds nice when you say it, but as soon as you turn around, you forget what you’ve said."

The sisters laughed too.

"Should we wait for Yingzi? She’s supposed to co tonight as well."

"I heard Yingzi is pregnant; she’s probably not coming, right?"

Yingzi got married earlier this year to a man who was a stranger at first. It wasn’t like the caring colleagues like Shen Yixiang and Shen Yiyue had been; there was a foundation of friendship. Once, during a rainy day, Yang Peiying went out with an umbrella to deliver food. That day, due to the increase in delivery orders caused by the rain, the restaurant was understaffed. Without a word, Shen Yixiang joined in to help. Hurrying along, she tripped near the custor’s place, spilling the boxed al she was carrying, and—to make matters worse—one of her feet got stuck in a drain. Although Yang Peiying, who was used to physical work, was strong, this ti she truly couldn’t help herself. Her foot was stuck, and she needed to think of another way to get it out.

Fortunately, a man saw her and pulled her up. "Where do you live? I’ll take you ho," the man offered.

Yang Peiying shook her head, worried about her delivery custor, and hurriedly said, "No need, I actually ca to deliver food. I’ve dropped the al; I need to talk to the custor."

"Where are you delivering to?" he asked.

Yang Peiying gave the address.

The young man laughed, "Isn’t that ?"

Yang Peiying was surprised. "Really, it’s you?"

After confirming the information, Yang Peiying quickly felt embarrassed and started to apologize profusely.

"See, should I give you money for this, or should I get you another al?" he asked earnestly.

"Don’t trouble yourself with another trip, especially in this rain. How about I just go back to your restaurant and eat there?" he suggested.

Yang Peiying quickly nodded.

On the way back, they walked and chatted together.

The young man was quite talkative, often leading the conversation.

He asked Yang Peiying, "Do you work at Yingzi’s restaurant?"

Yang Peiying nodded.

"You look quite worn out, coming out in such heavy rain, and you’re a girl, too. Isn’t there anyone else from the restaurant?"

"Today, because there are so many deliveries, we’re short on staff."

"Ah, I see, no wonder a girl like you had to co out. Now that your clothes are wet, can you go ho to change?"

"No need, there are clothes at the restaurant."

"Is this considered your uniform? It looks quite nice, much better than what other restaurants have."

Yang Peiying nodded; indeed, she was wearing her uniform.

"Is it easy to work as a waitress? Is the pay good? I’ve heard that your current restaurant treats its staff very well and that the business has always been booming. They’ve even opened two branches already, right?"

The young man initially didn’t realize that Yang Peiying was the restaurant owner and kept thinking she was just a waitress.
