Chapter 479: Chapter 479: Ho

Shen Yiguang just said Tuantuan was much smarter than her second brother.

The second child was a total foodie; he was always happy after eating, looking sowhat adorably clueless.

But when the two little ones were together, they would actually fight, tugging and pulling at each other, aware of each other’s existence even at just six months old.

anwhile, Lele still didn’t have the awareness of an older brother. He was quite curious about the twins, sotis vied for affection, but Yang Peimin mostly encouraged him to learn to share and interact with the twins.

However, Lele was a bit reluctant to play with these two who couldn’t speak or move; he was more keen to play with neighboring children aged two or three, often trying to join in their conversations and mingle with them.

Yang Peimin found it amusing and said to Chen Guizhi, “Is it not the case that all children like playing with older kids and dislike taking care of the younger ones?”

Chen Guizhi nodded in realization, “You’re observant, it really is like that. Playing with older ones helps them learn to speak faster. They can’t really talk to the younger ones.”

That was called a huge gap.

Now the twins were fully on solid food. The two of them could share an apple, which was blanched in hot water and cut in half, one half for each, and fed to them with a small spoon scraping the apple pulp. At that ti, two people were needed to feed them; otherwise, if they took turns, the one who hadn’t eaten yet would get upset.

Fanfan had a better appetite than Tuantuan; he wanted more after finishing his half, while Tuantuan couldn’t finish his, but they wouldn’t let Fanfan have it, fearing he might overeat.

Tuantuan had grown too, his little face filling out, but he still wasn’t as sturdy as Fanfan, perhaps because Fanfan, being a boy, naturally had a slightly bigger skeleton. It was easy to tell them apart, as Tuantuan looked more delicate and fair.

Sister-in-law Cheng took care of them with great affection. Yang Peimin had one day off a week and also gave Sister-in-law Cheng the day off to go ho to be with her family. Yet, on the third day, she would co over early, saying she missed the three children.

When Yang Peimin was going back to her hotown, she gave Sister-in-law Cheng so ti off, paid her salary, and gave her a New Year’s bonus, asking her to return after the holidays. Sister-in-law Cheng was sowhat reluctant to leave.

The family mbers were handling luggage, then Shen Yiguang, Yang Peimin, and Yang Peiying carried a child each, their hands full with items the children needed for the car ride, and they grandly headed ho.

It had been two years since her last visit ho; Yang Peimin missed Yang Dahai and the others, the place she first saw when she opened her eyes, her roots. No matter how far she went, she would always co back to check on it.

The car ride was not easy with three children, especially since Lele was at a fussy age. Fortunately, Shen Yiguang, acting the stern father, sowhat intimidated Lele from being too naughty.

After two days in the car, Yang Peimin felt dizzy, not to ntion the children. Lele was fine, actually quite happy and lively, but the twins, being younger, started to cry more and wanted to be held all day, refusing to be put down even during sleep.

The adults took turns carrying them, finally arriving at their destination.

Shen Erniu received the news early and had called his daughters back ho, cleaned up the house, prepared a lavish al, and even cooked porridge for the children.

The villagers also knew that his wife, son, and daughter-in-law were coming back, aware that they hadn’t returned for two years. Various children and won, with nothing much to do, gathered at his house to watch the excitent.

Yang Peimin did not expect so many people at ho.

Oh dear, her own appearance.

Luckily, her hair was still neatly combed and her face was clean, though she looked tired and spiritless.

Chen Guizhi was already smiling before she even entered, standing tall having shaken off the exhaustion from the car. She greeted the villagers cheerfully.

“Oh my, aunty, you’ve finally co back! Look how you’ve beco whiter and plumper after two years in the city; you must be living a good life.”

“Well, look here, three grandsons added to your family in these two years I haven’t seen you. I heard the younger twins are boy-girl twins? Let see, let see, oh my, they really look handso, just like their mother.”

“Your eldest grandson looks so good, just like Ah Guang. Look how lively he is; you must be the one raising him at ho, he’s so well-nourished.”

Shen Yiguang just chuckled, “Aunties and sisters-in-law, don’t just stand around in the yard. Let’s go inside. We’ve been traveling by car for days, so let’s wash up and then have a good chat. Please, go in and have so tea first.”

“Right, right, let’s hurry inside and put the kids on the kang where it’s warm.”

Everyone crowded into the house.

With so many people, it was crowded, and the neighbor’s kids were also jumping around chaotically.

Yang Peimin brought the kids in and set them on the kang, leaving Xian Yingzi and others to tidy up.

Several elder sister-in-laws from the family gathered around to play with the kids.

“Lele, Fanfan, Tuantuan, look here, I’m your second aunt.”

“Third aunt…”

Lele sat next to Yang Peimin, curiously observing this group of strangers.

When Shen Yixia and others extended their hands to hold him, he just shook his head.

Everyone laughed.

“Look at him, he’s not having it.”

“Of course, he still doesn’t know who you all are.”

“Lele, what’s this? It’s candy! Do you want so? If you want it, co and let your second aunt hold you,” Shen Yixia said, holding out candy as a bribe.

Lele didn’t have much interest in candy; he took after Yang Peimin and didn’t like sweets much. Previously, Chen Guizhi had given him a little when she saw the neighbor’s child eating so. Though Lele had tried it a few tis, he didn’t like it and wouldn’t even take it. He preferred eating biscuits.

Lele still shook his head at the offer now.

“Wow, my nephew has such strong willpower—good for him, just like his dad.”

Yang Peimin laughed, “He doesn’t like it.”

“What does he eat then?”

“Biscuits, the salty kind. He loves those.”

“Ah, this auntie doesn’t have any of those at ho. Looks like I need to buy so for pampering my nephew next ti.”

Shen Yiqiu couldn’t care less about that and had already bent down to pick up Tuantuan.

Having three boys herself, she could hardly walk away from such a soft, cute, little niece.

“Look at our Tuantuan, I’m your third aunt…”

Shen Yichun brought in so hot water, and Yang Peimin quickly thanked her and took it, fetching a clean towel to wipe down the three children’s faces, hands, and feet twice. It was only around two in the afternoon, and she planned to bathe the three kids soon, changing them from head to toe—and herself as well, since she was on the verge of not being able to stand it anymore.

They had filled their stomachs at a restaurant before coming.

However, Shen Erniu was still worried they might be hungry; food was already prepared and kept warm at ho, so he imdiately instructed his daughter to bring it out for them to eat.

It didn’t matter much—the old man’s kind gesture made it fine to eat a little.
