Chapter 471: Chapter 471: Delighted
When she got ho, the house was absolutely buzzing.
Shen Yixiang proudly said, “Our family has a genetic trait for twins.”
Chen Guizhi repeatedly called out to her, “Hurry and send a telegram to your dad to tell him the good news.”
Shen Yixiang smiled and agreed.
“With two kids on the way, your belly doesn’t look big at all—you better not think about eating less,” Chen Guizhi said laughingly, looking at Yang PeiMin.
Yang PeiMin quickly nodded her head.
Carrying twins brought its pressures, but it was also a joyful experience.
Shen Yiguang tried every ans to co ho earlier, even cutting short the ti it took to return by driving fast.
After Yang PeiMin found out, she was startled and quickly told him, “That’s too dangerous. You need to think more about your children; they don’t want to be without a father.”
Shen Yiguang verbally agreed, but when driving, he still fell into his old habits, of course, without letting Yang PeiMin know.
Her classmates and roommates also found out she was pregnant again, and so even asked her if she was about to give birth.
Yang PeiMin was a bit amused and exasperated.
Her peers once again voluntarily took on many of her burdens, ensuring she was spared from physical tasks in class. Shen Yiguang, worried about her getting hurt at school, spoke with Shen Yixiang to arrange his work hours flexibly, carving out more ti to accompany Yang PeiMin, ideally picking her up and taking her to school.
Shen Yixiang didn’t argue, but she rembered Yang PeiMin’s last pregnancy with Lele, how her poor care almost led to a miscarriage, and beca very nervous.
Seeing her like this, Yang PeiMin felt she caught the anxiety, so she said to Shen Yiguang, “Let’s not bother Yixiang. She’s more nervous than I am. How about this, we pay soone instead? Soone who’s had children, more experienced, who can remind what not to eat. They don’t have to accompany to class, just walk with during the commute.” It wasn’t that she was overly anxious; it was just that he was still very busy, and with her traveling between school, ho, and the factory, it was helpful to have soone by her side to carry things.
“Actually, no need to hire soone. My assistant can do it,” Yang PeiMin decided without waiting for Shen Yiguang to agree. Her new assistant was perfect for the job due to her maturity, reliability, and attentiveness. The assistant, nad Chen Rong, was three years older than her and a mother of two. With a junior high school education, she was a male classmate’s sister. Once, when Yang PeiMin casually ntioned needing an assistant, a classmate had suggested his sister, who had been seeking employnt without success due to evening childcare needs and job overti demands. After eting her, Yang PeiMin noticed her neat appearance, determined eyes, and was instantly three parts satisfied. Still, she tested her writing and communication skills, finding them more than adequate, and promptly hired her.
The last ti Yang PeiMin nearly fainted during a eting, Chen Rong had swiftly caught her, sothing that Yang PeiMin greatly appreciated.
Shen Yiguang also knew about her assistant and consented.
Naturally, the assistant couldn’t attend her classes with her since the school wouldn’t allow it, but she would co with her before and after classes.
Then, her roommates, seeing this setup, asked with a laugh, “Pei Min, have you changed people again? Is this your elder sister-in-law or your sister?”
“Neither, she’s my friend.”
“Wow, having a friend co to pick you up after class? That’s just too good, isn’t it? Doesn’t she have to work or take care of family?”
“I specifically asked her to co help out. I’ve been feeling a bit unwell lately, a bit dizzy. I’m worried about fainting unnoticed while walking, and since she is available, she’s co to keep company,” explained Yang PeiMin.
Feng Erxi looked at her belly and nodded, “Looks like you’re about ready to give birth. It’s good to have soone looking out for you.”
Yang PeiMin shook her head with a smile, “Not really, almost five months now, but it does seem soon.”
“Goodness, five months and it’s that big? Pei Min, your family must eat incredibly well,” Tan Yan exclaid.
“It’s twins.”
“Oh my, congratulations then!” her roommates offered their blessings.
“Pei Min, you’re too incredible. So take three years to have two, and you’re going for three in the sa ti.”
“Really, how many do you plan on having by the end of four years of college? Can you keep up with your coursework with all these kids?”
Yang PeiMin’s face turned slightly red, clearly a bit embarrassed, “It’s all going well.”
Cheng Aihua countered Tan Yan’s comnt, “So people don’t attend class much yet still do better than others; that’s Pei Min, right? She’s already started a studio. Have you seen the skincare products outside the mall? Those are produced by her studio. I also saved up and bought a jar of face cream; the effect is really good, much better than any I’ve bought before, and for the sa price. I’m saving to buy a lipstick now. Pei Min, we are roommates, so give a discount when I buy from you.”
Yang PeiMin responded with a smile, “Co over to my place, and I’ll give you one.”
“That’s great; maybe I’ll co by and see if there’s anything I can help with at your house,” Cheng Aihua offered playfully.
“I’ll have to think about it,” Yang PeiMin said, nodding with a smile.
Tan Yan, unable to stand their friendly rapport, pressed, “Did you make those products yourself, Pei Min? Or did you develop them with your classmates? The cost must be low, right?”
Yang PeiMin had not even spoken when Cheng Aihua defended her, “How could the cost be low? Think about the effort it takes; hiring people, buying materials, and there are certainly many herbs and other ingredients involved; that’s why it works so well. Haven’t you noticed my skin has improved a lot in the past few months and even gotten whiter?”
Everyone nodded; indeed, it was true.
Tan Yan had nothing more to say.
Yang PeiMin invited them to co over for a al whenever they were free, even though a one or two of them weren’t as close, the others were nice, and it was fortunate to have been roommates. There wasn’t much ti left before graduation, and soon they’d all be heading their separate ways. Keeping in touch ant more friends in this foreign world, and she hoped to have more friends to talk to.
