I woke up in a much better state. After last night I thought about what I felt for Shiloh and I admitted it to myself, I feel pretty relieved that ca from nowhere. I didn’t know if I should be honest with Shiloh about my feelings, after all he still had Hanahaki inside him.

I walked into the office and slled the sweet cookies from inside my room, no need to guess who was already there. I walked in and found Joshua munching on a strawberry cake, on the table were a few different cakes.

"Why did you co so early?" I asked him, taking off my coat and hanging it up. I rolled up the sleeves to my elbows and sat in my work chair, checking on the few people who were runaways or disappeared after a year without pay their debt to us.

My hands stopped moving, I turned my eyes to Joshua with a surprised face. The boy was still spooning the strawberry cake and eating it with gusto.

Joshua scooped up another strawberry cake on the plate and ate it, now his eyes turned to the cake rather than to .

"He was seen coming to Madam Rose’s residence a few days ago, but then just disappeared."

I frowned, "Disappeared just like that?"

Joshua nodded, "He went inside the residence and never ca out, but according to the insider I paid for, he left the house the sa day he ca."

"Then he must have known he was being stalked."

If what Joshua said is true, it ans that all this ti we couldn’t find out his whereabouts was because he knew he was being targeted and soone probably helped him to escaped.

"Can you guess who is helping him?"

Joshua shrugged his shoulders, "He’s too slick to act alone, but this plan of mine only a few people know about."

"Few people? Who are they?"

Right, I didn’t even know that Joshua was investigating Gil as well.

"I won’t tell you, I’m looking into it."

If he wasn’t my younger brother, I would have killed him right here and now. I sighed, my head filled with Gil. It’s not that I’m deliberately not looking for him, it’s just that I don’t know what to do if Gil gets caught.

I had promised to free Shiloh, but because of the feelings I have now.... Should I let him go free?

"You’re going to marry your Oga?" Joshua’s question made look up from the paper on the desk to him who was now sitting in front of . I glanced at the table and all the sweet cakes were gone. He was sipping strawberry milk in front of .

"Don’t pry into people older than you their lives, don’t you have to go to class? Why are you still here?" I said, trying to change the subject.

"Father wants you to visit the main house."

I froze, the last ti we t wasn’t so good. Father’s words hurt and I didn’t want to see him for a while, I was too busy with myself. I’m too old to quarrel with my own parents.

"I can’t right now, I have so much work."

Joshua glanced at the desk, piling up files not lying. He shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey, since when did you go back to smoking? Didn’t you quit a long ti ago?" I asked then before he walked away.

He walked over to the sofa and picked up his bag that was lying there.

"The doctor wouldn’t let eat a lot of sweets, he said it would lead to diabetes. So I went back to smoking, but it doesn’t taste as good as it used to. So do you think I should die from diabetes or from lung cancer instead?"

I didn’t answer his stupid question, he chuckled as he walked out of the office and waved.

Joshua was once found overdosed by our subordinate who had assigned to follow him in high school by my Father. It wasn’t because he was using drugs but because he was being drugged by people who hated our family.

When he was found naked with needle wounds all over his body, the guilt of not being able to protect him was exactly the sa as when I made Ford pull the trigger of the gun and kill himself. I felt more and more hatred for my own family.

"George..." I called out to George, as he walked into the room. "Joshua said he saw Gil go inside Madam Rose’s residence, find out what they’re up to. I have a feeling that this will have sothing to do with Shiloh."

George nodded and walked out of the room.

I spent my ti inside the office today, so of the people we were looking for were found. I had the people found gathered in the warehouse where we carried out the executions, I will kill them tomorrow. Today I’m just going to tidy up so files, and go ho.

George and I left the room and were walking towards the elevator when a woman ca down the stairs, she looked surprised to see us. I didn’t recognize her, she bowed and I just looked at her. George pulled up as the elevator opened, the woman looked shocked with a rosy face.

"What? What’s wrong?" I asked when the elevator doors closed.

George called soone, "Ron, please check Boss’s floor. There is a woman who is experiencing HEAT coming into Boss’s office."

I was surprised to hear that, HEAT? That woman is an Oga and is experiencing HEAT?

"Is that woman really experiencing HEAT?" I asked George who took out a box of injections from his pocket, usually we Alphas would carry inhibitors to stop the effects of Oga pheromones. Because if we didn’t do anything about it, Oga pheromones that are HEAT will trigger us to enter the RUT.

"Yes, you don’t sll it, do you? It’s very pungent, if you get attacked and everyone knows about your illness, it will be bad." George said again.

I paused, right, only a few people knew about my illness. No one knows why I can’t control my pheromones, this is sothing I haven’t told Shiloh either. This kind of thing didn’t happen once or twice, a few tis when I was unlucky I t Oga who accidentally slled my pheromones and got HEAT and almost attacked .

Alpha Dominant pheromones are so strong and sotis trigger other Ogas to enter the HEAT. I sighed, damn it, if only my illness could end soon. I also wanted to sll Shiloh’s pheromones.

For twelve years of having this illness I lives like a BETA, I don’t have any greed to be able to sll pheromones again. But now that I am with Shiloh, there was a lot of greed inside that ca out. I want to be able to feel the pheromones again, I want to be able to sll Shiloh, I also want to co ho on ti, I want to see him, I want to be with him all day, having a picnic or just reading a book at the Greenhouse and also, I want to protect her.
