Superman had wanted to warn Viktor not to believe anything Reverse-Flash said.

But after hearing news about the Flash’s whereabouts, even Superman couldn’t hold back and actually took the initiative to question Reverse-Flash.

Moreover, most of the Justice League mbers had already decided to resign, and Batman was too stubborn to ever admit he was wrong.

The top priority now could only be to find the Flash, who had mysteriously disappeared overnight.

"Sorry, I don’t want to tell you anything. You don’t respect a professor enough."

Reverse-Flash said coldly to Superman, making clear he’d only talk to Viktor.

Viktor pointed at the pink-skinned alien Superman, dangling by one arm like a dead dog.

"You should take him back first. The Justice League hasn’t completely disbanded yet, and there must still be sowhere to hold him. And that girl from yesterday should be awake by now, right?"

"Damn it... Kara has probably already gotten her superpowers by now."

He rembered how hard it was for General Zod to control his powers when he first arrived on Earth.

If Kara accidentally fired heat vision at sothing...

However, Superman looked at Reverse-Flash and hesitated. Viktor tried to reassure him and said:

"If Mr. Thawne wanted to hurt , he wouldn’t have saved just now. That would’ve been pointless."

Afterward, Viktor looked worriedly at the dozens of Yellow Lantern rings floating around.

Even Batman might not be able to secure so many yellow rings all at once.

Their psychological influence barely affected him, but those rings were pretty dangerous for most people in this world.

Rachel silently opened a purple-black portal.

"My magical space can store a lot of dangerous items. I don’t think temporarily keeping a batch of unclaid ’cosmic weapons’ will be a problem."

Viktor’s eyes lit up.

He pointed, and over a hundred yellow rings flew into Rachel’s dinsional space.

After a mont’s thought, Viktor also yanked the yellow ring off Sinestro’s hand and tossed it in as well.

Superman finally flew off with Sinestro in hand but paused to warn Reverse-Flash one last ti.

"You’d better not try anything—"

Then Superman spotted Flash’s damaged helt on the ground and shook his head.

"Honestly, I can’t tell anymore which of you two is more dangerous to the other."

Reverse-Flash snorted coldly and didn’t say another word.

Viktor simply waved at Superman.

Once Superman disappeared into the sky, Viktor suddenly let out a soft gasp as if he’d just realized sothing.

"Damn... wasn’t I supposed to ask Superman to pass this to Batman?"

He pulled out a bloodstained letter from inside his clothes.

Reverse-Flash looked at it without thinking, and he suddenly realized he’d been caught.

He looked up to find Viktor staring at him thoughtfully.

"Mr. Thawne... you seem pretty interested in this letter."

Reverse-Flash slowly lowered his folded arms.

The figure of the young man in front of him began to overlap with that of the emperor from a thousand years in the future in his mind.

The faint crackle of electricity around him began to be vigilant with a trace of fear he tried to hide.

"What do you an?"

Viktor smiled and lightly tossed the thin envelope in his hand.

"From the mont that Flash showed killing intent toward , I realized for the first ti just how powerless I was on the ground against a speedster who truly wanted dead. I stayed on full alert until the mont I killed him."

Viktor raised a finger and tapped his temple.

"So I rember every single word he said before he died. Mr. Thawne, before Flash completely lost his mind, he described you as soone who changes people’s futures in small ways that no one notices. And you’re also soone from the future."

He raised the envelope to eye level and slowly turned his body until the edge of the envelope blocked the upper half of Reverse-Flash’s hazy face.

"Sorry— I grew up getting ganged up on. I notice if soone is watching, even from blind spots. When I got this letter just now, I didn’t need to turn around to know soone’s eyes had locked onto . I still feel it now even through this envelope, your stare still irritates ... let guess... is my future a threat to you?"

After a brief silence, Reverse-Flash’s mouth curved into a slow smile beneath the envelope.

He was scared of the emperor of the future, but not the boy in front of him who looked only fourteen.

He was scared of the emperor of the future he might beco... but he wasn’t scared of the kid in front of him right now who looked like he was only fourteen years old.

"So you’re going to kill ... for a future that isn’t even guaranteed to happen?"

Reverse-Flash lowered the envelope, looking a little bored.

"No. Honestly, even if I’ve gotten stronger again, as long as my feet are on the ground, I still don’t have a good way to deal with speedsters like you."

After witnessing how that Flash died just now, Reverse-Flash wouldn’t make the mistake of flying in the air in front of him.

’He’s a notorious DC villain with practically no bottom line. Why hadn’t he tried going further back in ti to kill ?’

Viktor’s thoughts began to wander.

Viltrumite physiology still kept consciousness lingering even through a pierced heart.

There had been plenty of chances before Viktor ever touched a ring.

’Moreover, the best ti to attack would’ve been the period when I was recovering at Tom’s cabin.’

Suddenly, a few simple pieces of logic flashed through his mind, and he finally ca to the most unbelievable but also the most obvious answer:

That man who saved him had been nearby the whole ti.

As for whether Tom was that mysterious Superman, Viktor still wasn’t completely sure. He clearly rembered that Tom could be injured with callused, scarred hands from years of fishing.

’No matter what he’s been through, no matter how strong he becos... Superman’s heart is always kind. He saved even soone like without hesitation.’

In Reverse-Flash’s eyes, Viktor suddenly looked up at the sky for no reason, then looked back down and studied the envelope.

Even though a large spot of blood covered the stamp, the pen-written na was still barely readable:

"Thomas Wayne."

"What did you do to this letter?"

Viktor suddenly asked.

Reverse-Flash clicked his tongue.

"When that crazy Flash left his ’girlfriend’s’ place, he left the letter on the table. I picked it up and brought it with . After Flash started falling, I slipped it back into his suit."

"If I hadn’t gone through all that trouble, you wouldn’t have even gotten that wound on your chest. I’m a lot faster than he is, but are you really the type to snoop through other people’s privacy?!"

Viktor had already torn the envelope open while Reverse-Flash was explaining, and scanned the bloodstained letter inside.

He shuddered in disgust, then stuffed it back into the envelope.

"Snooping on Batman’s privacy is just... returning the favor."

"Now, Mr. Thawne, please tell where the Flash of this world went. I actually like him quite a bit."

Viktor very suddenly switched back to being polite again.

"And also... that war you ntioned earlier..."

After ntioning the word "war," Viktor quickly t Rachel’s eyes, and she gave a small nod.

Now Viktor had a pretty good idea of why that Flash had seed so completely out of his mind.
