"There are robots everywhere... but the robots are directly connected to us..."
"Albert said these robots are occupying our brains for computing, but how can machines occupy human brains? Shouldn’t machines use chips?"
"I don’t know what’s going on, but ever since my body was modified by the Rocksen Group, I’ve been in a daze, only when sleeping can I barely rember anything..."
"Why did I accept the modification? This wasn’t even sothing I agreed to! The Rocksen Group launched an employee insurance service, and I thought it was health insurance when I signed up—"
"Later, I was sent to an oil refinery, the place was filled with thick black smoke like on an alien planet, I couldn’t see anything, could only work based on the guidance of the work helt, and before long I fainted..."
"After fainting, I woke up on an operating table, they said my body was too weak to support the work..."
"But it’s okay, they’ve removed my necrotic lungs and other organs, totaling 160,000 US Dollars! How could I possibly repay!"
"That bastard Ellis passed a bill with a presidential order, if soone has debts that aren’t cleared, they can’t terminate their employnt contract with the company, and the equipnt on them doesn’t belong to until the debt is cleared, so I’ve been working in a haze until..."
Until he was sitting in a military truck with an army of robots being attacked by iron riders on the highway.
The highways had been completely blown to pieces, the rails were fully sealed off, these routes that during peaceti were tools for promoting exchange, in warti easily turned into weapons sending bullets into the heart of the nation.
Not to ntion the first barrier of the European Union is Greece...
In both the Cyberpunk World and the Marvel World, this country doesn’t count as a powerful barrier, without aid from other countries, it’s a mont before being breached.
In reality, Greece is already almost entirely paralyzed.
The Greek representative was sweating profusely, although their army was nominally still operational, losing modern equipnt, the command efficiency was not high, facing new types of military combat units, the outco was predictable.
Once occupied by these combat robots, life would be hard to bear.
At the sa ti, these were among the few people during President Ellis’s rule that people could co into contact with, clearly their lives were not good, not matching up to at least the state of rapid economic growth President Ellis claid.
Though in economics it’s often discussed that people fear giving up work due to huge loans, letting their credit collapse, becoming holess, directly writing into law that labor contracts cannot be dissolved is really... bold.
This contract is entirely a modern version of a slavery contract, a slavery contract based on "debt."
This information has already been sent to the European Union, and voting is underway.
On the platform, Speaker Schulz is doing his best to persuade the silent parliant:
"...our alliance has already fallen into a semi-paralyzed state because of the cyber storm, this is a fact known to all."
"In such circumstances, the state, the company, public service institutions all cannot function properly, our citizens at this mont are living in fear, fearing having no job tomorrow, no food, fearing soone similar would break into his house to rob!"
"To restore normalcy to the country, we must introduce new technology—"
"Perhaps soone wants to ask, why don’t we choose to introduce Rocksen Group’s technology, and avoid potential war risks at the sa ti..."
"Let tell you why."
Speaker Schulz pointed to images on the platform, pointing to the captured survivors:
"This world has already been torn into two halves by President Ellis’s illegal conduct, now you can also see his terrifying ambition:
Establishing a cage that only serves them through violence and cybernetics.
Just sitting here, we’re already at odds with the world he’s forging: We are here, proving that we are still willing to abide by the law, respect social order.
But I hope you rember:
Schulz stood straight, facing the hundreds of mbers below, and, unable to contain himself, raised his fist:
"We are humans, proud humans, despite individual differences, we have helped each other, set examples for thousands of years, the society Ellis dreams of has been defeated by us countless tis—
Even he knows that transforming humans into living computers without freedom isn’t an honorable act, so he’s never ntioned it;
Because he knows the order he’s created is just suffering woven by greed;
He knows more that this suffering has been defeated ti and again in humanity’s millennia of progress;
He knows it, so he fears, and because he fears, he hides the current situation—
His lies indicate that he will inevitably fail in the end!"
As Schulz reiterated over and over, the atmosphere was abuzz, people started nodding in agreent, eventually erupting into eager praise and cheers, the entire parliant beca engulfed in an excited state.
Those mbers who always liked to propose peace felt helpless in a tsunami, they wanted to raise their hands to refute but found no one cared about them—
So even realized, even if they raised their hands, even if they wanted to refute, they didn’t know what to refute!
Refute that being here doesn’t an they abide by the law? Refute that they’re not human?
The more they thought, the more they felt it wasn’t necessary to refute, nor was there a way to refute!
Schulz raised both arms, face flushed:
"Do not place our fate in the hands of these machines, in slavery, in those abnormal people—"
"They shall not seize our freedom unless they crush us!"
"And they will never succeed!"
In the impassioned parliant, everyone raised their arms: This eting had no voting machines, but everyone clearly expressed their stance!
This scene was entirely recorded by Christopher standing by with his prosthetic eye, at this mont, looking at these unfamiliar neighbors, he actually felt a sense of kinship.
Perhaps it’s because after more interaction, he realized they too are human.
This world indeed has been divided into two factions:
Two forces are spreading their order and propositions within their respective camps, binding those without direction in their own way.
In the world of President Ellis and the Rocksen Group, cybernetics, and violence are the foundation of order, in this world, there are only efficient production machines and ticulous "order" executing their monopoly plan unerringly.
But in this world, despite a slow start, the order of this world isn’t achieved through machines.
People should wield tools, not be controlled by them.
[Christopher: Your Majesty, just as you imagined, it passed unanimously.]
[Lille: Begin deploynt as planned, Rocksen will soon realize there’s a problem, we must prepare to counterattack before the end of the month.]
[Lille: It is ti to take the offensive.]
