The jail is a big building made of heavy stone in the western border part of town. Several guards are around the entrance, with big walls to turn it into almost a small fortress inside of the city.

Not many people walk around here, probably because it is a jail.

None attacks us when they see us. Either they have received no mo we are enemies and my theory that not every guard is in on this is sound. Or, simply... They are told to lie low before shit hits the fan.

We walked around it, searching for Ash, before we reached the back of the jail, close to the city wall.

"Whare is that old man?" I ask.

"Hey! Fox!" Soone whispers.

I turn around, looking for the source of the voice. I seem to be the only one noticing that soone was calling at least for a fox.

Then I see the old man... In a manhole that is barely lifted in the ground.

I walk towards it and lean against a nearby stone wall.

"Old man." I say while trying to act like nothing.

There are guards around, but not at hearing distance.

Aurelia looks at in confusion.

"Act like we are talking." I say while gesturing with a tilt of my head towards the hole in the ground.

She looks down, and notices.

"You know, old man, it fits you being down there!" She laughs.

"I wish I saw the beating he gave her!" Karina says, laughing. "It is so rare to see her trash talk without being in a fight."

Maybe she wants to prompt him into a fight.

"Very funny, brat." He answers. "Is that priest a healer?"

"I am... Why, are you hurt?" Lisa asks.

"It is not ... Is that chicken guy." He looks around once more. "He got pretty beat up. Oswald keeps asking him how he knew about the people that were going to die."

"And did he say sothing?"

"Yes... Maybe you will want to ask him, but he said sothing about Kroneus speaking with him."

"Eh?!" Lisa blurts out.

I give her a stern look and she covers her mouth. We both look at the guards that are nearby. They look this way, but start ignoring us again.

I am not sure if I should be worried or not. These could be in his pockets, or totally unaware of what is going on.

"Kroneus? He is not one to be telling people about the future." She continues with a lower voice. "Why would he do that?"

"Yeah, it makes no sense... Oswald has not believed him and insists he has been spying on them."

"How do you know all of this?" I ask.

"I have been in and out of this jail a few tis. I know how to move through it."

"Then can you get him out?"

"He is heavily guarded. No way to take him out without a fight."

I sigh.

"Okay, we are going in through the sewers, then?"

"Ew." Karina Says.

"You cannot sll."

"I can see! You better not get dirty or I will have you cleaning the whole night!"

"Who is she talking to?" Ash asks.

"She is crazy and hears voices." Aurelia comnts.

"Sotis it feels that way." Lisa adds.

"Screw you two!"

Now, back to what’s important. Getting in. Those two guards have been looking towards us without making any noise or doing anything.

We need to get rid of them so they don’t raise an alarm before we can make a move inside.

"Hey! Guards! I need so help!"

I yell.

Aurelia looks at in surprise and Ash gets inside of his hole. Lisa gets behind us. I take a few steps forward, waving at them.

Both of them look at us and then approach us. They seem suspicious of our intent. I don’t bla them, we are basically loitering in a suspicious spot.

They should be more suspicious.

"What is it? Why are you hanging out here?" One of them asks when he approaches.

"Ah, yes, I have a simple request. Can you please look away while we go into this manhole?"

Everyone looks at in surprise, Lisa visibly recoils with a step back, and Aurelia chuckles.

"W-what?! Is this so kind of joke?!" He says, and pulls out his sword. "What are you planning?!"

"We were warned about a dragon woman around town..." The other says, looking at the towering Aurelia.

"Heh... They warned you alright." Aurelia says and lunges forward.

She lands a fist in one of them and then, before the other can respond, she hits the other with her scaly tail.

The first one is out of commission already. The second gasps in pain before he can scream.

Aurelia, quickly, grabs him by his chest armor and lands a fist squarely in his face before he could scream for help.

"You know, I had a sleep scroll." I comnt.

"Then why did you prompt ?"

"I didn’t. But the result is the sa. Only they will be feeling it for a few days." I shake my head.

Ash looks outside and sees what we caused. He grunts.

"Bring them here, you group are too careless."

We do as he says. The old man opens the manhole for us and Aurelia pulls them inside with his help.

We all go inside the manhole, going down the hand stairs that allow for access.

Ash starts to tie them up before we were down there.

The place reeks. Nasty slls that were buried under the city for a good reason. What a disgusting place.

"I hate this..." Karina answers.

"Ugh... I will have to clean my robe for weeks after this..." Lisa comnts.

"Less complaining, more action." Ash comnts.

"You can guide us, right?" I ask.

"Yes." He finishes a final knot in one of the guards. "Just follow and don’t get lost.

A sewer... What a classical situation for an adventuring party. I am impressed my first adventure was not here.
