Just as the barrier disappeared, Ban’s figure shot toward the strange man like lightning. The longsword in his hand sparkled with a cold light, thrusting at the strange man’s chest with incredible speed. This strike was one he had built up strength for a long ti, and one he gave his all for. He knew that only by disrupting the strange man’s rhythm could he change the tide of battle.
The strange man clearly did not expect Ban to counterattack so decisively and swiftly. With a strange yell, he tried to step back and avoid it, but it was too late. Ban’s longsword pierced through his chest with an unstoppable force, and blood gushed out imdiately.
The scene stunned everyone present.
They hadn’t expected Ban to unleash such powerful combat skills in a desperate situation, nor did they think the strange man would be defeated so easily.
The strange man fell heavily to the ground, the longsword still stuck in his chest. He stared wide-eyed at the sky, as if searching for an answer, but eventually closed his eyes with a look full of confusion and unwillingness.
A large mass of black soil surged forward like a ferocious beast, pouncing on Ban head-on; for a mont, sand flew and stones rolled, and the sky turned dim. Everyone watched helplessly as Ban was surrounded by the black soil, seemingly trapped in a desperate situation. However, just as everyone was sweating for him, Ban escaped the predicant in an unimaginable way.
Suddenly, Ban’s figure vanished from within the black soil, replaced by a ground covered in water stains. This scene left everyone stupefied, especially the strange man, who exclaid, "What? Water mirror illusion!"
At this mont, Ban’s real body quietly appeared behind the strange man. He slightly curled the corners of his mouth, and the longsword in his hand danced like a nimble snake, instantly forming a blue vortex full of suction. This vortex was like a magic whirlpool, drawing in the surrounding air.
The strange man clearly didn’t expect this situation; caught off guard, he was pulled toward the vortex by strong suction. In his eyes, the vortex grew larger and larger, as if it was about to swallow the whole world. Finally, he was unable to withstand the force and was completely engulfed by the vortex.
With the rapid rotation of the vortex, the strange man began to feel dizzy, as if he was falling into an endless abyss. Finally, unable to bear the pain, he pleaded, "I surrender, Ban, you damned brat! Put down!"
Upon hearing the strange man’s plea, Ban did not continue to make things difficult for him. He withdrew his longsword, and the vortex vanished instantly; the strange man fell to the ground with a thud. Struggling to stand up, rage and unwillingness filled his face.
At this mont, Liu Deng and Lan Shen exchanged a glance and each saw surprise in the other’s eyes. They clearly hadn’t expected Ban to possess such a technique. And Feilin murmured to himself, "Could it be that they know each other?"
Ban slowly walked over, extended his left hand to the strange man, "Zhurong, you’re still the sa." His tone carried a hint of teasing and affection.
The strange man, Zhurong, fiercely slapped Ban’s palm and pulled himself up from the ground. He glared at Ban and angrily said, "What? You despicable fellow! If I hadn’t encountered the Cyan Wind Tiger before and consud a large amount of spirit energy, I would never have lost to you this ti."
Ban smiled without saying anything. He knew Zhurong’s strength was formidable; if it wasn’t for the previous battle with the Cyan Wind Tiger consuming much of his energy, the result of this duel might have been completely different. However, he felt a bit proud of his victory. After all, being able to use the water mirror illusion to defeat Zhurong was proof of his prowess and cunning.
Although the battle had ended, the atmosphere on the battlefield hadn’t completely relaxed. Liu Deng, Lan Shen, and Feilin gathered around Ban and Zhurong, curiously observing them. Their hearts were filled with doubt and curiosity: What exactly was the relationship between these two? Why had Ban never ntioned it before?
Ban looked at the crowd’s reactions and couldn’t help but feel amused. He patted Zhurong’s shoulder, saying, "Alright, alright, don’t be angry. Aren’t we all friends?" As he said this, he introduced Zhurong’s identity and their past.
