Cultivating through increasing my stats in America Chapter 275 - 184 Honor Black Gold Card
This was Li Ang’s first ti earning Break Limit Points in a solo challenge, though not many, it undoubtedly marked a new beginning.
If such a high-difficulty Rock Climbing could yield Break Limit Points, then wouldn’t more dangerous and challenging unprotected climbs offer even more points?
What about ice climbing, or even climbing Mount Everest?
A multitude of ideas suddenly flashed through Li Ang’s mind.
The single Break Limit Point was not important, but the new start was.
When it ca to these extre sports, Li Ang subconsciously thought of the renowned Ozaki’s Eight Challenges.
In the movie "Point Break," a legendary all-around extre sports master, Ozaki Ono, proposed eight extre sports trials as a tribute to the power of nature; it was said that anyone who completed all eight challenges would achieve nirvana.
Even though it was a concept from a movie, it undoubtedly gained attention far and wide.
However, understanding the content of these challenges, Li Ang felt that a spiritual "nirvana" seed reasonable if one could actually survive and complete them all.
Between life and death, one is more likely to contemplate the aning of their life, not to ntion that this is not just about facing life and death crises once or twice.
The first challenge, Ergence of Power, doesn’t stipulate a specific way to complete; like in the movie, the protagonist accomplished it through extre off-road car racing, and it has also been attributed to extre kayaking, essentially referring to your personal first extre sport.
The second challenge, Sky’s Descent, is parachuting from Mount Everest; the third challenge, Earth’s Awakening, is base jumping in the Cave of Swallows in xico; the fourth challenge, Creatures of Water, is surfing in the Cortez Sea.
The fifth, Surge of the Wind; the sixth, Solidification of Ice; the seventh, Master of Life; the eighth, Ultimate Trust.
Any one of these challenges is beyond the reach of ordinary people, and even professional extre sports enthusiasts need to persistently spend a great deal of ti on them to possibly complete just one.
These challenges require not just ample ti, energy, money, and physical talent but also the heart to push the limits and disregard life and death.
Ironically, after careful consideration, Li Ang realized that he actually had all these attributes.
However, when it ca to disregarding life and death, Li Ang had a different perspective. Seeking thrills and challenging limits was fine, but if it ant risking his life, that seed absurd.
He now had a theoretical lifespan of over a hundred years; there was still so much in the world he hadn’t experienced, and countless limits awaited him to break through, so he naturally wouldn’t regard any single extre sport as his sole pursuit in life.
So, while it was all fun and gas, ensuring safety was a must; without thorough preparation, he certainly wouldn’t rashly take on the challenge.
Li Ang stood at the top of this rock wall, looking down below, and while ordinary enthusiasts looked up admiringly at the pros, a few climbing coaches were even more astonished at Li Ang’s ascent.
"Did any of you ti it?"
A coach, donning sunglasses and with a neatly trimd beard, asked a colleague.
The young colleague shook his head and replied,
"I didn’t keep track of the exact ti, but he started around 12 to 13 minutes ago."
While speaking, he glanced at the sports watch on his wrist. "It’s only 27 now; did he really reach the summit in less than fifteen minutes?"
The young climbing instructor’s voice was filled with amazent.
"Are you sure he started between 12 and 13 minutes ago?"
The coach with sunglasses asked again, sowhat incredulous.
"Fifteen minutes to the summit, that’s much faster than my ti."
Suddenly, a voice ca from behind the two n.
Upon hearing it, both coaches quickly turned around and greeted,
"Coach Cecil, you ca out too?"
The man before them was the only coach who had been a professional Rock Climbing competitor and the sole person to have successfully climbed this route.
Now a shareholder in this upscale Rock Climbing club, he no longer coached.
If their mory served them correctly, Coach Cecil’s summit ti was over twenty minutes, which made this young man’s improvent quite remarkable!
Just as Li Ang ca down, Cecil Roland approached and asked,
"Young man, are you a professional rock climber?"
Li Ang shook his head and didn’t make a point to emphasize that it was his first day trying Rock Climbing; such boastful claims that invoked envy were sothing he typically avoided unless necessary.
Cecil Roland’s eyes lit up; even though he was no longer a professional, he still kept in touch with his forr coach and teammates.
Li Ang’s performance as an amateur enthusiast clearly showed his extraordinary talent.
Rock Climbing was a niche sport, and finding a talented climber for them would be his contribution to the sport.
However, he had only heard the coaches chatting and hadn’t witnessed Li Ang’s climbing process, so he asked again with a sincere tone,
"Would you mind if I watch you tackle this route again?"
The route Cecil Roland referred to was the one with the highest difficulty grade in the venue, rated at 5.12b.
